  2. ^Thanks Duke Haatu;831088 wrote: He wanted some amendments to be made to the constitution but doesn't seen to be getting his way so he has gone to Addis Ababa to complain to Zenawi. what exactly does he need corrected? I mean, this is a very important part of Somalia and their grievances must be listened to...if of course they are detrimental to the whole nation, then he will be called off,but if they are legit issues, i think the TFG needs to listen to him/puntland
  3. Farole is the president of a powerful region in Somalia...of course,he has clout....and respectfully so. But what is the point of the meeting?

I remember in hhigh school thats how we rolled. One time, they cornered one of us, and beat the shi1t out of him...but, we revenged!

Sayid Maxammed deserves a big international airport, a university, a hospital, and a high road. they should've waited and not ruin this name. Thats quite short sighted of you moon. who knows, this dusty village could be the next great city of somalia....Inshallah
  7. Are you complaining about the quality of somali websites or the "life without internet for somali community"? sheekadaada iyo headlinekaada maba islaha niyahow. Bal inoo kala saar sxbow. Yes, Some of the clan based internent websites are quite vicious...and vitriol, but they do provide news. Not all of them are bad. You have the freedom to choose what to read and where to read from....Anu for instance, I dont visit any of the somali news websites except HOL and BBC laanta af somaliga. I some times peruse thru the other ones, but thats it.

Anyways, you don't need to look far to find evidence of Somali's old ways. Take the word for pray for instance. When Somalis wanna tell someone to pray, they say Tuko which is the word for crow. The crow is the only bird in Somalia that makes the Waaq sound. Any Somali Linguist out there? I always thought, the word for pray was "Duko" and not Tuko as in a Crow? Anyway; Coofle, I think this is all hearsay and what not..Until i see evidence,(I dont know how you will provide the evidence that the lamb was picked from a heard of sheep in Las Somewhere)...but i still shall await your evidence

It is not only PL that is interested in the end of a tfg. The President himself wants to end this. Ending the transition is the beginning of the end of a fractured Somali republic(am sensing you want failure, but inshallah NO). Point is, The Somali republic will be back inshallah and it will be 1 really unified country...with several provinicial/regional states.
  10. lol@sharmarke and his question... Abtigiis, wrote this under the influence of xidido green ah.(case in point, "hot shiisha" kuye, as if there is a cold shiisha). I am suspecting "hot girl friend for shiisha" ayuu rabay inuu dhaho, but marqaanka ka tan badiye?!..

  16. OK i guess,i wont be visiting Ft Lee, NJ. They just banned texting while walking!! How dare they? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/14/texting-while-walking-ban_n_1514308.html As a slew of U.S. states have passed laws to ban texting while driving, one New Jersey town upped the ante with its texting-while-walking ban. Pedestrians in Fort Lee, New Jersey will have to stop to text, following the passage of a new law that imposes $85 fines on walkers caught texting. Fort Lee Police Chief Thomas Ripoli cited numbers of pedestrian crashes to support the ban: Last year there were 74 crashes involving pedestrians; three pedestrians were killed this year, according to The Record's NorthJersey.com. “It’s a big distraction. Pedestrians aren’t watching where they are going and they are not aware,” Ripoli said during an announcement of the ban. Following a brief warning period, New Jersey police began issuing fines to distracted walkers near the end of March, with more than 117 violations recorded to date. The ban is supported by a Stony Brook University study that found 60 percent of texters failed to walk in a straight line, reports ABC News. However, when the study, "Cell phones change the way we walk," was published in January, co-author Eric Lamberg responded, "absolutely not," when asked if texting while walking should be banned. “[The study] is just to raise an awareness to this issue, that it does disrupt your ability to walk naturally," Lamberg told Long Island Business News. New York State Senator Carl Kruger has sought to bring a similar ban to New York, but has thus far been unsuccessful. Kruger, who has been laboring to push the legislation through Albany since 2007, would take the ban a step further and also prohibit talking or using iPods while walking or running. Check out the gallery below to see some texting-while-walking fails caught on tape.
