  1. Oh thanks for the subtle piss taking  but I’m fully aware two wrongs don’t make a right! But my question still stands, because us over looking the problem, isn’t going to help either. Those non-Muslim companies will carry on all the same and keep making money out of our religion and even use that money to support causes we’re against. Oh and does anyone know whether or not the name Mecca copyrighted, I wonder? Because that would be a whole other story on its own.

There is so little you know about the Russians. Waryaa...what are you on? anything would be better than the bloody Americans!!!
  3. Originally posted by S.O.S: Will I buy it? I think not. When you think of it it's another way of merchandising and capitalizing upon something sacred and religous. If enough people buy this chances are in the future there's gonna be more merchandise with the name Mecca slapped on it. Like the scramble to mecca board game (the first player to get to mecca and perform pilgrimage wins the game)....you see where it might lead to.... and as for coke cola ( I don't like coke to begin with anyway) I see where you're heading with this SOS but haven't you noticed that non-Muslims are using the name Mecca and making profit from it? There's Mecca bingo in the UK and there's even a music label called Mecca. Those non-Muslims aren't only making a mockery of Islam but they're making money out it as well! Why can't the Muslims take a share of the profits for a change? We live in a commercialised world, we can't change that fact but we can take it and use it to our advantage!
  4. You know what, I was watching a documentary about Nelson Mandela last night on UK telly and there was this one quote I just loved and it actually got him into a lot of trouble for saying was when he said: "The Whitehouse has become drunk with power!" But the sad thing is that we (and I use that term loosely) have allowed this to happen, okay… not over night but ever since World War II America has been making it clear to the world how ‘great’ they are. I really wish Russia won the cold war; I believe this would change things dramatically for the better. And I resent the fact the people call that stupid country a superpower!
  5. I've always thought it was a great idea BUT! And I stress but because I’ve heard a few people who actually think it's a bad idea, they believe that this would draw bad attention to Muslims, people may see this as an effort of segregation by Muslims to separate Muslims from non-Muslims and also one paranoid family member  suggested how this could make Muslims an easy target, they believe that the drink can be easily contaminated because they know the majority of consumers are Muslims...however crazy you may think this is, you can't dismiss the thought! I’m all for thinking rationally but the way I try to help stop American from capitalising the world is by boycotting “Coco Cola” and any other products made by them. (there’s actually quite a few you'd be  )
  6. I only managed to watch the first half of the comic relief documentary and I couldn't stomach watching the rest. But one thing i can't get over is that when people ask me about Somalia I usually say it's really nice place and that it's slowly but surely rebuilding itself, and that’s what I genuinely thought after I went to Somali in the summer of 2002. Now I don't think I can say that without thinking of the deprived areas of Somalia the Somali people are so willing to hide just so you can go back to U.K. and say: "I really enjoyed Somalia! I might even go back next summer"
  7. Do you know what really annoys me is that the “West” has been priding itself in it’s so called “Freedom” for years on end, even with their bloody propaganda infested media but in actual fact they’re worse than those “Dictated” countries whom they are so eager to take out of power. They go around accusing other countries of breaking international human rights laws, but hey why don’t they look closer to home? They might even surprise themselves for a change. You ALWAYS hear and see how America goes on about it’s freedom of speech and privacy laws but that is so far from the truth, America knows more about it’s citizens than they do about themselves, and when they’re allowed to set up their damned “IAO” and “Star Wars” schemes, there’ll be no where to run or hide. That’s one reason why I’m happy I’m not an American! And no I’m not proud to be a British citizen, Tony Blair has totally disappointed me (mental note: don’t vote for him again!) anyways getting back to Tony Blair… that guy should have never been in power he’s managed to mess up everything! He’s put Ken Livingstone in power with his bloody congestion charging and then there’s the whole undergraduate university loans they’ve buggered up! Oh and how dumb do they think people are, by putting a blind man in the position of home secretary!!! So people can’t argue he’s racist when he makes those racist (or should I say non- PC comments)? And there’s 101 other things I should mention but I don’t want to be here all day!
  8. I neither agree nor disagree with this I honestly think that baydan does have a point; because preserving ones race isn't a bad thing yet again people should have the right to chose whom they marry. However you have to take in account that only a small minority of Somali people actually marry outside their own race so I don't think we’re in danger of wiping out our race just yet! Anyways coming back to the statement about recessive genes, that's one thing I wonder about, because honestly all the mixed raced Somali people I see barely resemble Somali people at all they tend to inherit their features or the other non-Somali parent. Are our genes that diluted?
  9. ooooh! ...no need for the *****y remarks...lol anyways no harm none, i'll stick to my "BORING" name thing and you stick to your aminals...lol
  10. Curly

    girls help me out

Well I reckon it's easier to chat to non-somalians because, with somalians in london you never know they could be your long lost cousin or even you brother's best mate...so its better safe then sorry. so I ignore them, most of time but Girl's don't get rude with them, A mate of mine found out the hard way when she was put in hospital for telling some somali bloke she didn't want to talk to him. there alot of twisted people out there and i'm not saying they're only somali.
  11. Well you can't please Somali people!...can you? most of them have more than one name! Though on another note i do suggest you ignore the waffle about health...i hope it didn't scare you! but to be honest it's pretty general, so don't be shocked that it's not far from the truth.
  12. YEAH I MISSED THIS PLACE SOOOOOOOOO MUCH **sniff, sniff** I cried day and night! lool, nah really i did miss it and i was rather upset. I had to spend my time on somalinet...but it's not the same!
  13. This is even more interesting than the Chinese horoscope thing...no offence Cushtic_Cutie but i'm sure you'll agree...this one is about your personality which is linked to your name and so far i haven't seen it being wrong...so try it out. http://www.kabalarians.com/ There are so many different and unsual names in there so i'm sure you'll find your name in there somewhere!
  14. I've known for ages I'm a PIG, this just confirmed it
  15. Like coldplay said his plan is to kill us all!! looooool Well I hate the bloke and I've already gone blue in the face from expressing that thought...but what really pisses me off is why is it that all the powerfully leaders in the world are the dumbest leaders? Who gives these half-wit testosterone over dosed MEN!!! All this power? If I had it my way men wouldn't be able to vote much less have political status! They all seem to make a muck of it, whether it's cleaning their bedrooms or running a whole country, some how they never do it right. So it's only understandable that America and silly old Britain is waging war against a poor developing country, which is no threat to them or hardly anywhere else in the world. And when we all know that America has the ability to fire on virtually any country they wish, especially if they get that blasted Star wars project up and running...may Allah help us all. I personally think this is a modern day crusade and the muslim coutries haven't woken up and smelt the coffee as yet!
  16. I decide on mine because I'm always on a computer and I think my mouse probably feels like that! Lol oh and because I think it's funny!!!
  17. lol...you've just reminded me! they called me "Dhaqan Celis" when i went on my holiday to Somaliland. I didn't like people calling me that in the suuq, i thought it was rude. when i was called that my reply was usually "Dhaqan bise" But in Burco they don't like outsiders, and i think thats the worst place to visit on a holiday.
  18. Hey not all girls are after that "lovey dovey" stuff...infact the mere thought of some of that stuff, quite honestly made me CRINGE! Erm..My idea of the perfect bloke would probably be... The more normal he is the better! You're allowed to have arguements now and again...without them a relationship wouldn't seem so right! (i'd be worried) Anyways then there's the whole "making up" issue to look forward too And as for laughing at my jokes...erm i'd rather laugh at his...coz I want to be entertained for a change! But frankly if my bloke was that sweet...then the words (CHI CHI MAN) would come to mind!
  19. loooooooooooooooooooool Oh my days! I thought that sounded familiar! Well I reckon it was one of those American presidents...probably Kennedy!
  20. Hey this is soo tribalist! Not everyone's from xamar and you shouldn't hate like that! What about all us Somalilanders? Big up to Burco!!! Other than that i can't believe all of you lot were born in Somalia, half the people i know where born in the uk and middle east like myself...But i've visited Burco and Hergeysa and Ber bera oh and shiek! that was an experiance and a half!
  21. lol...them joeks where funny but have a gander at this one: ------------------------------------ converstaion with god A man was wandering around in a field, thinking about how good his wife had been to him, and how fortunate he was to have her. He asked God, "Why did you make her so kind hearted?" The Lord responded, "So you could love her, my son." "Why did you make her so good looking?" "So you could love her, my son." "Why did you make her such a good cook?" "So you could love her, my son." The man thought about this. Then he said, "I don't mean to seem ungrateful or anything, but why did you make her so stupid?" "So she could love you, my son."
  22. what tickes me off is: *The American government *The Middle East *Friends who like to go out with people you have had history with...and then ask you if its okay (why would it be okay ...use your bloody brain, will ya!) *tube strikes...thank goodness there won't be anymore *Somali bus drivers...who like to beep at you, and get everyone on the bus to look at you!! *Old folks on buses...who think they have right of way because they're old *My physics teacher Mr Wong...i hate him (DIE!, DIE!, DIE!) *Loads of coursework on your half term break...i swear the whole was to have a break!!!
