  1. Lol...and there's another one I'm TOTALLY baffled about. Why is it in films, when the cast is watching TV it's always a Black and white film?
  2. Point taken, however that’s not what I was talking about earlier, it’s how people see the Somali people from here on out, I know we’re not a corrupt nation, but in this world that’s purely not enough. We’re a minority and whether we chose to or not anything bad one Somali does will reflect on another Somali poorly.
  3. Hardly anyone pm's me I reckon they think I'll post our converstation on the threads, like I did with Darman...people that was for a good reason, lol! really it was!
  4. I See existence as a senseless, meaningless and a down right tedious momentum, as though we’ve only been put on God’s green earth to suffer slowly until we can no longer bare the agonising subjection of torturous obstacles we’re faced with regularly. Tortured until breathing becomes a wearisome fight of survival in a bleak and dismal World. We set ourselves moronic goals only so we can pass the time a little more easily and fool ourselves momentarily that we have a purpose besides the obvious. Maybe ignorance is really bliss…mmh
  5. I don't know what to think  , but I did notice Lakkad was the only person on SOL who raised the question..."Are they muslim?" Forget whether they're Somali not...I'm more conserned about people like them with Muslim names representing Islam like that...Bisinka! Okay sure I'm not saying I'm the perfect Muslim but I'm not publicising my a$$ everywhere either! But I will definately be watching the Salon on channel 4 on the 23th*
  6. to the person who thinks a few apples can't rot a whole community...sorry luv but you've got the saying mixed up, the saying actually arrive from an observation so I suggest you try leaving a few bad apples in a barrel with good ones and see what happens.

  8. - Why do we 'women' want what we can not have? Well because that's life for you...we're no different to men, we always think the grass is always greener on the other side. - Why do we like those who don't do us justice? Whether you like to admit it or not, nice guy's are boring, you want a bloke that can keep you on your toes, we want drama like we see on telly! - Why do we not appreciate those who threat us like princesses? Because like everyone else in this world, you say thank you the first couple of times and you take it for granted all the other billionth times. - Is being in love all that counts? - Is it enough if he is in love with u? - Can relationship work, based on trust, loyalty, commitment, but without your heart going boom, boom, boom? Well because I've tried the whole "he loves you but you don't" situation, it's not fair on him so why do something as parsimonious as that just for the sake of a little security. The pure idea of that makes me feel guilty let alone happy, something like that will never be enough, where's all the excitement...where's that feeling that separates it from the usual "brotherly or sisterly love"? It doesn't work without it! So it's NO, NO and NO from me...lol
  9. Aww thanks people, but that doesn't mean I still can't be rude to you lot...right?! I just meant the somali people I meet in the "Real world" lol Oh and King_450, what’s with the “Sue I am touched by your self centred response” Why was it self-centred? And as for the stuff about how this man was 1 out of 20,000,000 people…that still doesn’t change anything, we’re Muslims and should represent Islam in the best way possible, for goodness sake the guy was called Mohammed (what more do you want?). We can’t just go around living our lives anyway we like, all for the sake of individuality…that’s against everything we stand for as a religion and as a nation. Gaal’s live their lives thinking they have freedom, but that’s totally misleading, no one is free in this world. Some how or another we’re all subjected to some sort of law or enforcement by Gaal’s, whether it’s youth culture or the legal system. So don’t delude yourself into thinking that what you do doesn’t affect the next Somali person, because it does, whether you like it or not. Call me paranoid or whatever but I’ve already noticed how people look at me differently when I’m on the tube and of course they would when they’ve got a bloody “Metro” or a “Daily Mail” in their hands. Where not like Caadan people, as big as 20,000,000 sounds, it’s not... we’re a minority and that’s all the more reason for why we’re noticed, so whatever one Somali person does will be reflect on another. The only time I want to see a Somali in the news headlines is when it’s for a good reason! Oh and before I forget, we have actually done a petition for the article about "Somali's eating donkeys" it was done via e-mail if any one wants to write their name on it send me a PM.
  10. Bruv I’ve never even heard of the film let alone the book, I’m a scientist...so sorry, I can't help you.
  11. You could cheat, I'm sure there are alot of reviews on the net.
  12. It’s not as though Somalis didn’t have enough problems on their plates, but now some half-witted man has decided to tarnish the “Somali” reputation once again. As if being accused of eating Donkeys, over populating London, terrorism and having a sadistic culture, wasn’t enough. We Somalians will now be associated with spreading disease like the common rat. I can’t help but think Somalis are now more and more in the limelight, and for all the wrong reasons! No wonder I regularly meet Somalians who actually hate their nationality. But that’s not the way to deal with it, you can’t just bury your head in the sand and just hope it all blows over, because it won’t. I’m not exactly sure how we as whole can make a difference and I’m sure it won’t be overnight. But I'm going change the way I see other Somalis and embrace my culture and people, instead of pushing them away like i've done so in the past. Hopefully the new generation will have enough sense to change the way Somalis are perceived. "United we Stand, Divided we fall" Mohammed Dica: Guilty of "biological" grievous bodily harm
  13. Till now i had decide no to post a reply to this post, becuase I just didn't understand any of the somali...(I tried!) anyways I would like to just state that there actually are a few people who use this website who aren't somali...so could you please take this into consideration before you start all this Somali nationalism crap, because that's exactly what it is!... you remind me of the bloody BNP. Alot of english speaking white people are actually MUSLIM so don't sterotype with that whole "afgaalod" stuff, it's not just us somlians who are muslim! Anyways before any of you's start saying there aren't any non-somalis on SOL I would like to say... Freaky Kitten and PAKI is not somali! lol

    WAKE UP!!!

Well done Zu and there's no reason to be violent about it, at least i had them lot puzzled for a while. The prisoner is the visitor's son. If the prisoner has no brothers or sisters, and he is obviously his father's son, he must be his father's only son. And if "that man's father is my father's son", and I am the only son of my father, then I would be the father of that man. How about one of you lot coming up with something?

    WAKE UP!!!

I reckon this place needs waking up, this so boring these days...so here's a riddle to get your brains working! A man goes to visit another man in jail, but the rule is that only family members are admitted to see the inmates. The jailor stops the visitor and asks if he is related to the prisoner. He responds with the following statement..."Brothers and sisters, I have none, but that man's father is my father's son." How is he related to the prisioner? mmmh???
  16. shyhem...I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. And I hope you're coping alright with everything...may Allah grant your dad to enter heaven inshallah and may Allah make this greif easier on you. "Allah never burdens a soul more then it can handle"

Bisinka, couldn't you lot pluck up the courage to go looking for your own blokes and gals?...Haye i knew it!... you're all a bunch of shy Internet freaks. lol Instead of looking for a soul mate try re-introducing yourselves back into the real world, where there aren't any Somali Will smith/ LL cool J look a likes or match up's that actually work! P.S word of advice, building a realtionship with someone you met off the net isn't a wise move and it doesn't end up smelling of roses, I KNOW too damn well!
