  9. ^^ Oooh really. Habar fadhida feer la fududaa
  10. As you know, quail hunting is what passes for military service in the upper ranks of the Bush Administration. Dick Cheney knows what it is like to fire a weapon in anger, particularly when the birds flush from the bracken unexpectedly. George W. Bush has flown airplanes, many of them folded from his personal stationery. Donald Rumsfeld has piloted boats and submarines through seemingly impenetrable mounds of suds. And so on. Now, as you have surely heard by now, the Vice President this weekend had a slight mishap while hunting, in that he committed the faux pas of pointing his shotgun in the direction of a friend of his. Also he pulled the trigger. Sort of, you know, shot the guy. In the face. "Peppered" him, in the quaint vernacular of the sport. The fellow is doing fine at the hospital. But right here's what's wrong with the mainstream media: The stories don't tell us whether Cheney managed, in the process, to bag the bird. Seems to me that our sense of the man's overall competence pivots on that crucial unreported factoid. Who cares about his friend, did he hit the target??? I find the story reassuring. Cheney is a man who doesn't just talk the talk. No, if he's going to send American soldiers into harm's way, where they might be shot at any moment by a deranged fanatic, he's also going to do the same thing to his close personal friends. He's giving his hunting buddies a taste of life in the Cheney Era, when you count yourself lucky just to get out alive. Funny stuff huh

  16. Posted by SB THAT warning caused me great deal of distress along with funny salty liquid discharging from my eyes. A harrowing experience I don't want to go throw again. LooL SB did ever occur you, you need to check your eyes may be!Rahima had nothing to do with the liquid discharging from your eyes.
  17. Foxy, anger might have had the better of me. Unjust on innocent people anywhere isn’t acceptable in my view. What hurts me even more is the fact we can’t do anything for them. Allah be with them
  18. ^^Am really tired of Adnagaa meesha is dhicay crap, How do you figure geel-jire? These poor people that got beaten and raped (for no apparent reason) didn’t destroy Somalia, one can only assume they fled to Yemen for the same reason you (geel-jire) fled to wherever you are, betterment of life. How is that their fault saxxib? How? If anyone is to blame is those makhnuud carabs. Period
  19. Sayyid, saxiib you can look brown but you fall under the category of black. That’s all am saying, didn't mean to imply anything else. What's being discussed here is the label the word “black" carries.
  20. Posted by Lavie The term coloured is both incorrect and racist; it makes me feel like an incomplete painting. Black is equally degrading if not as insulting and when used it is usually associated with negativity while white implies pure. If a Caucasian person was to describe you to a police officer, how would they explain what you look like, if you take an offence to either terms? I personally would take an offence to be called a colored person, cause; it carries a negative vibe such as lower class or unworthiness of some sort. Black? Am black. Sayyid, The Brown label is owned by Indians; therefore, you’re black bro. kooleey We're not talking about the color black, but the label it carries Black girl Black man Black woman
  21. Yaa Allah, I am extremely sensitive to this type of news (concerning Somali women and children in unjust) walaahi my state of mind reverses at these times, Oh my poor Somali people. How much can these poor innocent folks endure (seeing so much hardship they seek refuge and this is what they get). I let it rest in hands of Allah (sw), Ilaahayoo uga aar aduun iyo aakhiro ba.
  22. To be called Colored or Black?
  23. Allah yarxama, Ilaahooy u naxariiso adoonkaaga.
  24. Posted By Castro Aby Hamza's case is not straight forward. He's wanted by the US for, alleged, terror charges among other things. I'm afraid his case is a terrible example of freedom speech as it involves, alleged, terror training camps and some such fabricated nonsense by the US state department. It's no accident that the British inay iska daba bisbaaseeyaan. If the jury convicted the Sheikh (whom I know nothing about) based alone on the tapes of sermons he gave, that conviction will be thrown out upon appeal in the US. His beliefs (of Jews and others) is not a matter of debate. That he would preach that to his congregation is protected under the law. Any rookie attorney could have that conviction thrown out. These sermons were the faithful congregating. If the Sheikh was drawing up plans to kill Jews today, then that's not a sermon to the faithful but a murder plot. Saaxib sowta arintii kaa khalkhashay. Precisely Ngonge's point when he wrote this if you follow God’s laws and choose to put them above those of man, don’t try to force man to change his laws to fit in with yours, or, eventually, man will (and can) install laws that force you to abandons god’s laws! The French ban on Hijab is a perfect example of that. Remember what was our collective cry when that was introduced, saaxib? That’s right, it was “they’re trying to limit our freedom of expressionâ€! Cas, there is difference in what we are portrayed as and what we have shown to be. Violence is the only means left on our parts; we don’t have the mind frame or the reassures to do anything else. I have fallen right into the trap, because the characters in cartoon implied Muslims are violent people. Guess what? Now Muslims around the world represent Violence. I truthfully think this is what Ngonge was lecturing all along in his essays. Cas, I agree that the imams in the mosque are protected by freedom of religion, but what are those listeners that come out running their mouths protected under? (I am in no way shape or form suggesting those cartoonists were right) but it goes to show that this issue (of freedom to offend, am not sure but I think, ngonge had a topic as such) is complicated. Although is morally justified by logic (somewhat), but then there’s those words that adds fuel to this so burning fire “intent to igniteâ€. Lastly, Ngonge wrote What I’m trying to tell you is that unless your fist meets my face, your lawsuit imprisons me or your retaliation is likely to hurt me, I am free to offend you in any way I like. In the case we have here, none of these options apply. Besides, if the violent option was chosen, your violent overreaction would be far worse than my mere offensive words. How much more accurate can the above statement be.
  25. ^^Truth be told bishaaro is right..If Bill Gates money is good for you then Anigelina Voight's money should be good for you too.
