  1. Sad but undeniably true. I have heard and know of one particular court case that is being investigated involving a Somali woman and the theft of a kidney in London. These are far from paranoid delusional fabrications believe me.
  2. LOL Awwww, never knew you were an adorable father. I enjoyed the read very cute indeed.

Chocolata- LOL -Glad you enjoyed Paragons show of affection. He can be quite charming when he wants to be.
  4. Alaaa? What a complete and utter @ss. If only he died in the process of his piss-taking, highly dangerous and thoughtless "driving" then it truly would have been funny. Dark humour as its best. Ps I liked the song in the BG strangely.
  5. Ps Your the one in the middle. Ngonge- is on your left and LT-QA is on your right.
  6. LOL! Such a sophisticated sense of humour how can one even try to compete? I shall try...check this out Its you with a group of your SOL friends (Say LT QA and Ngonge -celebrating what you can only imagine to be your impending wedding night with moi. Dash your macaxis to the wall says I man...cause you've pulled. Such exciment and jumping for joy is truly infectious man.
  7. LOL-I'm about 4 years too late with my reply it seems but I must say that having read all the replies I agree with master Che-son. Love-lust? pretty difficult to separate like Scorpion said. However, I believe there to be many forms of love-and Climi was probably hit with the one that most fickle men are suseptible to ie the "love at first sight" phenomenon. Others may disagree as to its credibility but I actually think its valid and if it isn't? Then why does such a sentiment exist? In all forms of universal poetry even? Coincidence? I think not.
  8. ^- Wait till you get home The clip was was hilarious poor guy I actually felt for him.
  9. ^- Lol must you be practical to a fault? Originally posted by Paragon: quote:Originally posted by The_Siren: quote: Originally posted by Paragon: Prick head! Why so harsh when you yourself made a smiliar show of affection by carving (You complete me Siren) on your *erhem* using a bread knife. Quite a novel way of showing ones affections if a little extreme. Still who am I complain when you've accidently circumsized yourself twice all in my name? Siren, my love, were I to sever my organ of manhood, and were I to burn statesments of commited love upon my very flesh, then that primal distinction of not weeping with my heroin in times she is in most need of comfort would be lost on me, wouldn't it? Similarly, burnt flesh does cause confusion and suppression to the sensory nerves that usher in empathy and concern for the weeping queen. So, you see, such logic explains my 'cut' off cruelty. The man, albeit affectionately overwhelmed, lost a vital part of himself, which Somalis call: 'Diir Naxa'. Lol@circumcized twice! My love, you know I was under the influence of your charm. What deliciously captivating nonsensical lies! the only truth in that entire statement was the last part, naturally. The rest was obviously as a result of you being mesmerized with me. Its the only logical explanation for what you've written. You are however forgiven for your moment of wanderlust. "Logic" to self-harming indeed. Tisk tisk

LOL Laugh all you want but it’s actually a valid point those who wear Burker should not be allowed to drive due to reduced visibility. This is a clear cut safety issue which reminds me of the time Seeks? (spell?) men refused to wear crash helmets when on motor bikes because of their turbans. Still so long as burker gals don't drive its fine with me. Not-personally but I can accept another sisters wish to do as she likes.
  11. Jonnny boy- you make me smile, but answer me this-precisely how forward thinking do think that Sarkosy and yourself are when you're both adamantly refusing someone the basic civil liberty there is to express ones faith freely? Would you be so against it if one’s faith proclaimed that wearing a banana on ones head lead them to heaven? Or have you just been grossly manipulated by the media and its ideas of female persecution. Have you actually spoken to a woman wearing such a costume? Had an in-depth discussion with her? What motivates her to go above and beyond the call of Islam duty? Because if you had you would quickly realize that the large majority of these women wear such a thing because they themselves wish to and I am speaking about those women who are “supposed” to be living “freely” in this westernized decadent state of eternal and of course utter bliss. (Note the hint of irony) Again Sarkosy is nothing but another controlling little b@stad suffering from short-mans snydrome. Napoleon had and so does this right wing tosser -thats right we call can play at throwing around a bit of emotive slander. Anyway If the French were so forward and as grand as and better than those filthy controlling Arab men then why are they following their example? Me thinks that the France is not to free after all. Besides, we all known the French to be the biggest sack of inherently sophisticated racists the world knows, second only to the Aussies and Russians perhaps. I mean if they truly cared about the plight of women then should then not ask the very women whom they’re trying to “protect” opinions on the matter instead of deciding for themselves what constitutes to as faith and repression? And don't try to tell me too that even in the west these women don't possesse minds of their own. Because of course these men have such a power of them that they fail even to breath when it is not commanded so? LOL Ps Men would agree that the Hijab is wajib and would encourage his daughter and wife to dress modestly but never have I seen a man who would FORCE his daughter to wear the niqaab or Burka. Men in truth really aren’t even that extreme its the women who decide to venture to such a thing. It’s not easy but it’s what they wish and so who are you to deny them that right?
  12. Why don't men just stay out of womens wardrobes? God you'll never hear a woman kick up such a fuss over issues which are none of her concern, f*cking busy-body men really piss me off. As for Sarkozy? That digusting little midget can kiss my @ss- I voted for Ms Royale.
  13. I agree I think trust and a lack of understanding what is it like to be young-Somali and growing up in the west is to blame. Generation gaps can be a b*tch as times but in truth, young people- will be young people where ever they go and lustful mistakes are bound to happen but when a girl or boy begins sleeping with his or her "boyfriend" and starts to move in with their lovers BEFORE getting married? Then they're obviously in danger of becoming proper Galaalo-tized. Don't get me wrong theres nothing wrong with sex and being young, honry and having your viens pumpedful of hormones but its the way in which you bahave and deal with it following your cultural customs which defines us as Somali's. Usually with us Somalis when your loosing the fight to control the itching thats going on downstairs one gets married in a Xalaal manner there-by sharafing not only yourself in the eyes of your lord and the community but your parents aswell. Its simple and clear, why must it be so complicated? Somali parents need to learn to talk with their children and not "talk at them" but engage with them trust them and advise them. Let them know the consequences that shall occur if they follow paths which aren't wise but most of all they need to stop being so strict and controlling with their kids or trying to pressure with "what so and so will think of them". Do you really think that a rebelious teen with give a damn about habo-huge mouth from across the street will say? Whats more likely is that your children (who are essentially good kids) will learn to adopt sneeky immoral behaviour so as to fly under the rader so to speak. Some somali parents need to understand that you can have respect from your child but you need not refuse them the chance to see for themselves that life-sex-drugs-drink - rock and roll along with all the other silly crazes they're fixated with truly aren't all its cracked up to be. The more you try to say no and control them the more they'll try to rebel against you- allow them a sense of fair freedom and let them see forthemselves the cracks the world so generously has to offer. Personally? My mother was open with me and siblings from the first moment-she was revolting and embracingly crude with the issue of sex that It truly put us off the idea for a very long time. She also gave us all the freedom that we wished- (along with look after your self comments) it just so happened that when presented with the gift of all that "freedom"-we just simply shruged and decided to rent movies and stay at home.
  14. Imtithal ^LOL Wheres your sense of womanly vanity? The man is part of a dying breed of Somali romantics- the ones like Climi who cried and bleed his eyes and heart out because he couldn't get his favourite bread-buying customer to get off with him. Are you saying that you don't find the burnt shards of a mans flesh in the shape of your name endearing? Albeit in a twisted sort of way? (tries not to giggle)
  15. ^-Abbreviating ones expression of love? Never....wheres your sense of romanticism? (giggles) Originally posted by Paragon: Prick head! He should cut off his penis while his on it. All that for a woman? FCK! Why so harsh when you yourself made a smiliar show of affection by carving (You complete me Siren) on your *erhem* using a bread knife. Quite a novel way of showing ones affections if a little extreme. Still who am I complain when you've accidently circumsized yourself twice all in my name? To the thread? LOOOOL- Now thats what I call a man, all he need do now is cut property of Xalimo on his forehead and all will be well. Let the man love on says I! as foolish as he maybe-theres something quite primal about having ones name burnt on a mans forearm.
  16. Shakina- LOL Well personally? I rather listen to Somali songs than anything else. I embraced my cheesy Somali side long ago *grins* As for being barely twenty? Aww shucks how sweet you are. Imtithal- LOL What the hell? That Caadi waye song was utter crap! Good lord the only funny thing in it was his curly fembot haircut (Yes my humour is that mature LOL). Other than that the man is embrassing us woman! Nice songs however Faheema- LOL- They are depressing aren’t they? Deliciously so! LOL But potent enough to slit ones wrists? I doubt it that’s profound. NGONE- Me likes the picture and the essence of kitchen cleaning so its all good to me. Diiriye dabshideh- LOL Well how-lovely of you, all I need now is a masculine statue to fullfil this prophecy of yours. *Giggles* Paragon- Oh paragon *flamboyantly flings herself at him and begins to silently weep on his shoulder while indecently pawing his chest in anguish and er...something else* everything is just so wretched! *continues sobbing and contemplates really embarrassing Paragon for his moment of rash kindness. Ps the song? *chuckles* bravo. Nagwa- nice songs- indeed that maryan perhaps is the queen of the calaacal song, second to her is Jubba-LOL-God is that man depressing and not in the way either.
  17. LOL- Me in love?- Awww I only wish it were true *sighs* but alas I am doomed to be a lonely spinster with a hairy @rse and an fowl temper. Still it could be worse? (Continues singing) As for this song you can't remember-cant say that it rings a bell lol but you shall have as much time you need to recall it. ..I'm generous like that. I'm off to eat now MUAH my dear
  18. Another Favourite Cumar Shooli song is *starts singing again* "Daawaday Wad ii deeqday an dalxiisne dallo so raac"
  19. (Strolls in to take Ashkiro by the hand and serenade her Somali style)- “sidaad ii ogeyd baan adiga moyee ragba ilaaway, sidaad ii ogeyd baan ubax la moodyow ku amaana, sidaad ii ogeyd baan axdigeeni ku anfidayaa! …miyaad ogeeeeeyd, miyaad ilooooowdey-inaad jaceyl, iku abuurday-urkeygana kubeeran tahay maba ilaawee” Bloody good song, LOL- Also I understand what you mean loads of the great Somalis songs are not on youtube and thus are not easy to find. Diverting from my depressive tracks just a little bit I do also love this song- I cannot get enough of it. http://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=BM5ks9SI3 co&feature=related “daruuraha hilaciyo, dayax nuura yaad tahay, somaalida diir-teediyo, diir xareer-aa-badtahay-d awadi jaceyl kiyo dookhaygi baad tahay, Kuma deyn karoyo- dadka kugu jeceyle, ku dacad baan ahey ayaan laygu ka dirin ee” Nagwa- like-wise thank you for the nice links. Imitithal-thanks also for the link, ps my favourite Cumar Shooli song would have to be *starts singing also* “Sida Laago Roob Helay Cosobkii Ka Lacag Yidhi, Lala Raacay Indhahaa Arooskiinnu Laacee. Ladnaaaaaan, Ladnaan -Ladnaaaaaan Ku Waara, Labadii Is Jecleyleey Liibaantay Ahaataa”
  20. Other books I’ve read this year have also been A brief history of time by Stephen Hawkings-truly so very enjoyable, thought provoking and quite fascinating as well. It will leave you with more philosophical questions than answers but it’s definitely a must read book for any amateur would-be astronomers or interested in space buffs. It’s an old book and the new editions have beautiful –hubble telescope inspired illustrations to go with it. If you love greek mythology than you’ll love space because all the planets and moons of our planets and other nebulas have the names of either greek/roman gods and goddess, or lovers muses etc. You’ll find it easier to recall for example the names of all of Jupiter’s four largest moons. Ie the four wives/lovers or b@stard offspring of Zeus. I also read the strange marriage of Annabella Milbanke and Lord Byron-the book as the title suggests is about the famous English poet lord byron and his peculiar marriage with one of the most mathetically gifted woman in British history (her daughter actually proved to be better-historically speaking)-how her innocence and his depraved yet weird ways of exhibiting his idea of love and his constant need to be free finally wore on poor Anabella. Naturally the poor dear’s notion of turning a “bad” boy (lord club-footed byron) good- failed quite wonderfully. These two people were eccentric and the book includes actual private diaries and correspondence that the two sent to eachother during their acquaintance and later during their marriage. Again a fascinating insight into the world of the rich, pampered and utterly depraved. Not to mention arguably one of the greatest British poets ever (though he stole his material from charmed eastern-fishermen and simple folk)
  21. Currently I've finished reading Animals people an enlightening very humorous totally without self pitty book written by Animal a young man who lives in the city of Khaufpur situated India. Any way this city becomes poisoned by an industrial foreign owned factory. One fatal night there’s a spillage of chemically harmful substances which pollute to the air, land, water and finally the people. Hundreds die perhaps thousands and they still continue to die. The “KAMPANI” as Animal calls them then high tails it out of there without cleaning up the chemical waste and refuse to offer all the people affected by the poison fumes and those born with deformity as a result of it with compensation. Thus the story involving Animal a young boy whose spines has become bent due to the poisons and who walks on all fours as a result. He has no family, no mother other than this insane old French nun who has known him his he was a child. The story is basically told by Animal in his own candid, often funny as hell, beautiful and very often sad and self way. This is a boy full of anger, hatred and yet is more human than those who treat him with contempt. But do not be fooled-there’s no teary-eyed self-indulgent self-pity in this book. Infact Animal tells his story about this “AMRIKAN” woman comes to the city to set up a clinic to help the people-but there are those who are weary of her true reasons for being there. Mixed in with all of this are the politican struggles the poor people of khaufpur are under, they have been trying to take the company to court for years for the crimes they’d done to these people but its been a hard long journey and animal tells it with such unasbashed self-fish amusment. The boy is bad tempered, crude, horny and selfish enough to poison his love rival into becoming asexual LOL. Theres no arty-farty use of language here, it’s a simple tale where animal is telling his story to a tape recorder which is then translated for us exactly. Great book indeed, definitely worth the read. I’ve now moved on reading The Robe. Which about a Roman soldier, Marcellus, who wins Christ's robe as a gambling prize. He then sets forth on a quest to find the truth about the Nazarene's robe-a quest that reaches to the very roots and heart of Christianity and is set against the vividly limned background of ancient Rome. Here is a timeless story of adventure, faith, and romance, a tale of spiritual longing and ultimate redemption. (Or so Amazon tells me, still looked interesting when I read the back- and so far its really quite entertaining-makes you think a lot about yourself and how far you’d go in the search for the truth.
  22. Favourite sad Somali love songs The ones which instantly affect you and make you giddy equally with sadness and joy for its musical richness. Personally my favourite probably has to be the song “hurdo kama boogto” now I’m not fond of many of the calaacal love songs but this one I must say really is quite moving, in a very sad teary eyed oh-bless-you-poor-wo man way. I even find myself almost wincing with affection at that “Aax” of pain she sings, talk about pulling at your heart strings. This is quite miraculous for me as I’m rarely affected by passion. http://www.youtube.c om/watch?v=k-TzLbIBr eg Heres a link of the song. So what are your favourite bitter sweet Somali loves songs-the more depressing and musical the better?. A close second to this would be the one where this famous Somali musician (I forget his name) is singing about the plight in which his love has got him in. Where a woman he was having a relationship with (one whom he wouldn’t leave alone despite being warned) gave him AIDS and thus he opted to sing this “Iska daadshadaansho dul kaga- ii dishaye walaal haygu diganine (or noqon)” (Wipes a tear from her eye) so sad-he’s basically asking for her to go about her business and to please not return for more because she’s (literally in more ways than one) killed him. Very sad and I can’t help but weep inside a little whenever I hear it while I’m washing the dishes. So what your personal choices? If anyone knows of any better songs than please so come forth and enlighten me. (Strolls off singing "bogsan maaya oo ,bilic iyo nasiibkey midna ku baxsan waayee")
  23. Well firstly I'm human we tend to get worked up when thngs depress us and secondly I actually think that the desensitisation to homosexuality and a number of depravities is a relevant issue and especially with those who've brought their kids up in the west. Its all to easy too easy to see how a lot of homo stories involving kids reared in the west are circulating within the somali community. Its actually pretty sad-and it reminds me of a saying "you become your company" Chocolata- I made a mistake I meant crag-mandoon -Funniest thing in a long while.
  24. Apparantely they say they aren't g@y but are simply women trapped in a mens bodies. To me they are men they have unholy- attractions towards men and thus they are Gay. Even if they chop their dicks off its useless because technically they are and will always be men. They kinda make me sick yet I can't help but feel sorry for them sometimes and the next disgust. I blame the western media for this, they're making us feel bad for rejecting the filthy. Had we grew up in Somalia we would have thrown rocks at their dwelling and strung them up by their genitals to be shot-up. But because of Will and Grace we've learnt to "accept" or turn a blind "sympathetic eye to such filth". LOL (I laugh but inside I cry) This is too deep...I'm off to watch Crog-mando.
  25. Chocolata- LOL I did read it (the Somali I found easier to follow-the translation to me didn't add up-too wordy), But for me? It bore too much masculine indulgence- like the ramblings of a mirqaan Taxi-cab driver whose gotten too big for his boots paradoxical my @ss LOL. Plus I don't know what kinda poem your speaking of but I could have sworn that this so-called poem was in fact once a song. The first line or two I even found myself singing along too like one does when they hear an old song they haven't heard for a while. I just can't really place it thats all. Still I like my poems to have substance and to have moral little tales like somali nomadic ones tend to. Not that I'm by any means poetically inclined or anything.
