Ace, most of my Somaliland friends are just waiting for a way out. Honestly we only need this "Federal Government" to be more inclusive and to reach out. I am sure we can work out this marriage. Che, no I am not selling anything, but if you were in Hargeisa in the early 1990, and saw the destruction you would understand their point of view.

I have heard from a reliable source that the Somaliland leadership are looking for a way out so that they can finally join Somalia in a respectifull manner. They are just stalling at this stage until the federal government gets their act together. Mnd you, Turkey would never contrubute to the separation of a Muslim country, it's not in their best interest.

Overcoming inferiority complex must be difficult for poor XX. Waking up every morning looking for Garowe news "clan enclave" must be frustrating.

The root of the problem if we are all honest to each other is the lack of parent participation. Perhaps government programs need to focus more on the parents, empowering those that are helpless. I have seen way too many examples of parents not caring about their child's schooling, or giving up too easily, trusting the education system to do the parenting for them etc. it's pretty disheartening. Look at the state of Somalia, we are a lost people, no care for the future.
