  1. Yoniz, when the Hargeisa boys tease me they say, " Galbeedi ubaxii kacaanka ayuu ahaan jiray". It is not true. But as you stated some what I have certain tendencies of authoritarian threat . It does not mean that I would condone oppression or tyrannic, but I dislike incompetence and corruption. " Reer koonfurku sodon sano u xidhnaan mayno. last year during the election, I was talking with a local proff. who is very familiar with political issues of the country. In fact, he visited Somalia during the summer. When I complained about the slow pace of state building including the formation of the regional states, he said, " the era of strong leadership is over, and the new Somali democracy and power sharing, negotiations and slow moving process will be the norm." I interjected and said that if we keep flowing these slow moving road maps and the constant supervision of the state by others, this may take 30 years to establish a viable Somali state. To my surprise, he was not bothered by the time frame or the constant quarreling of the leaders. Waxa uu yidhi , In sidaas wax la iskugu kakabo mooyaane si kale male, waa in marba gobol la soo dhisaa, nabadu tartiib u fidaa, dawlada dhexena marba tallabo yar qaadaa. Taageerda dhaqaaluhuna ay aduunka sidaas uga timaado inta ay cashuur ururin iyo nidaam la imaanayaan. I asked him, how much was the revenue of the sate last year?, and he said about $250 million. I said, " that is a lot of many for a government operating in one single city without providing health care , education or national security". Waxa uu yidhi Jaamacada aan joogo ayaa tobaon jeer ka lacag badan qaranka . Sheekadu waxa weeye, We will retire here before a real change comes. Two years ago a delegation from Amisom were looking inputs from the diaspora about their future plans in Somalia. They were proposing to lead Somalia to a democratic process until 2025. WE all rejected that idea. How can Ugandha , Ethiopia and Djibouti which are all undemocratic despots could lead democracy in Somalia. When you hear these plans and the dysfunction of the federal system, local people need to develop their economies. Finally , as you did mention, Carabta intii aynu dhibanayn labaatankii sano inooma iman, haddana waxa laga yaabaa dadkii taladu ka go'aysay ayaa soo diray oo yidhi, " waar kuwaan bal utaga oo waxoogaa dheemaala u tuura inta Ruush iyo kuwa kale meesha inaan. since the world is coming to us, why not coordinate your plans. Djibouti is earning $70 million a year for ten year of base lease from Americans. That is almost a billion for ten years. We could do better than this.
  2. I wish I would have started the criticismof the leader in 2019, but they left me no chance.
  3. When they rejected Usur Abraar, either as banker or an auditor, I knew Damujadiid has taken over the power through a weak president.
  4. I was thinking that DR. Bayle would be a future candidate for 2021, after preforming his duties as the financial gate keeper. No wonder they always grab the weak ones. It really pains me these huge couches that the leaders always sit on. Please go and watch the inauguration of Trump. everyone is sitting on simple chairs. I did speak about this big sofa's during Hassan Sheikh. I do not think this fat cats could even realize that people are starving and they keep throwing big fat Greek parties.
  5. You right brother. Dalku waa in meel laga soo galo uu leeyahay. My biggest victory will be a Somali state that protects it's citizens and respected around the region. Only then we shall feel pride in our towns and regions. Just observe about the current drought. The federal government gave $150,000 to every regional government. That is small peanuts. Since the regions are serving the people effected by the drought in Puntland, South West and Galmudug, they should be given almost all the funds. They are feeding and moving people to feeding zones, so why the federal government withholding the money? brothers that will be the legacy of this system. Regions lifting all the weight without any fund coming from the Mogadishu government. First establish the state and then debate the internal issues as brothers and sisters. Here we have three Somali governments each one of the negotiating for cash. Each one of them has certain agenda for his portion of the money. Kuwa HArgeisa mar hore ayey qeybsadeen lacagtii. Puntlandna waa ku xigtaa. Nin oday ah oo xog ogaal ah ayaa igu yidhi shalay, " Farmaajo waxa la sugayaa marka uu lacagta soo qaado, dagaalku markaas ayuu bilaabanayaa. Three presidents in Dubai to cash.
  6. I agree. IT is too early to judge. My main concern is the recycling of the DAmujadiid people in the most sensitive positions. The new intelligence chief was fired by former prime minister C/weli Sheekh Ahmed after the parliament was attacked and people were assassinated in city almost every week. After he was fired, Hassan Sheekh made him ambassador to U.K and then to Turkey, why him?. Same thing with police chief, he was fired by C/weli because of incompetence. Allow sahal amuuraha.
  7. Waxa uu yidhi 69 wasiir oo saf ugu jira wasiirka madaxtooyada. He really explained what we were talking about for the last four years. not elected people are running the system. A mere chief of staff who should serve his boss became the prime minister.
  8. I did agree with Tallaabo, because at this stage the empty threat of Farmaajo will not change the base agreement. Yoniz, let us separate the issue. One is state sovereignty and pride of the country, the other federalism and devaluation of power and governance. I agree that we " Maryooley" have never built any thing even when we were a functioning state. All the great landmarks of the country whether it is the Mogadishu stadium, national theater or the main high, were built by foreign countries. we never built any thing. I also agree with you that without the Bosaaso port and the high way connecting the port to Garoowe or Gaalkacayo, the puntland people could not have survived the last 25 years when the Somali state was non existent . Development is always welcome. For once in our life time we should see someone building something. That was the main reason I welcomed the early Berbera port agreement. Then, the whole process was hijacked and it transformed to a foreign base. I do believe that the Boosaaso port deal might follow the same pattern and mushroom in to another base. I suspect that soon they might anounce the new base in Boosaaso which is much closer to the both the Indian Ocean and Red Sea. As we speak, the Kismaayo port will follow soon as soon as the Kenyan government gives permission to go ahead. Now, if you are serious , you would be asking real questions. Why are they rushing?, Why grab all the three main ports at this moment?. If they build our ports and the world comes to us, how about their ports?. Also, I do not appreciate the deception of the new president. He already filled the government with some of the closest members of Hassan Sheikh( both the new intelligence chief and governor of Mogadishu are Damujadiid card carrying members) , so he probably agrees with both the base and Boosaaso deal, and finish what Culusow started. The latest news is that he accepted the base in exchange with cash. I never believed that the Somali state problems were all about the lack of money. There were always millions flooding in Mogadishu, but it all goes in the wrong pockets. I thought that since they were willing to help the Resurrection of the Somali state, these rich gulfs might not hurt our little pride that was left to Somalis. Nothing is more damaging than bringing a foreign base without even asking permission. Well, I could be wrong, since no one invited the Kenyans when they took over Junbba, these Arabs are probably following the foot steps of others. Ah, the false pride. Why don't they tell us that " waar waxba gacmaha idinkuguma Jiraane buuqa joojiya. WAxaan diidaya beenta ay noo sheegayaan ee ay leeyihiin madaxweyne ayaad leediihiin oo waad madax banaan tihiin. Now, brother Yoniz, are you sure you read the Somali federal constitution? I hope so, since you stated, but if the so called federalism remains the way it is practiced today, the regional governments will loose a lot both in terms of revenue or responsibilities. They are doing almost every thing and their burden is huge. It is looking more like a big fish with small pond. Hargeisa has 69 inisters and Puntland has 40. The small revenues from these economies could only cover these fat cats. How about health care, education or policing. Even in continental Canada were provinces have a veto power in any amendments to change the rules, the federal government have a final say in any trade or purchasing of national assets by foreign entities. If China want to buy a Canadian company with big assets, only the federal government can allow to proceed. Many offers from foreign owned companies are rejects when the concerned workers would risk losing jobs or for the national interest, so please refrain from comparing these backwater enclaves to the established federal systems. Even Hargeisa with 25 years of self governance does not have basic labor or investment laws. Yet, despite all these rules that discourage this Gulf take over of our ports, I welcome any economic acclivities that alleviate poverty and an employment. Further more, C/weli gaas will cash i just like Siilaanyo crooks and form his own political party in Puntland which will buy everyone with that dirty money. Finally, I hope all our concern was just caution, and these gulf boys will eventually implement what they promised. Personally, I would never reject development.
  9. If people like Ina Biixi gets power, his entourage will more nasty Suldaans like this and more corrupt and greedy oligarchs. Kuwani hadday awood helaan way kibri oo ummadd madaxa ayey isku gelinayaan. Dadka waxaan uga digayaa muuse iyo rakaabkan xun ee uu wato.
  10. "Reer Ba'ow yaa ku leh. Tallaabo might have a point here. It really strange, the Somali government said nothing about Boosaaso port take over. Theses Gulf Sheikhs did not even stop by in Mogadishu and discuss these issue with president or his government. I think This Farmaajo guy is deeply involved in these deals, yet he is hiding his intentions. We already have a bag full of bad stories about him, but we will wait and see how he behaves in the next few months.
  11. We are all cheering for him for trying to stop temporary the slaughter of the innocent Syrian civilians. Yesterday I watched the white house lawn conference with King Abdullah of Jordan and It seems president Trump come to his senses. No more bashing and victimizing Muslims. In the meantime , the Russian financed media are crying foul. Info Wars, Veterans today , The American conservative and other social media groups are using the usual ,"Al-qaeda will take over Syria" propaganda. The Far left cares more about polar bears, dolphins and trees, while the far right is evil , hateful and racist. The sane and majority of Americans and Canadians are pragmatic centralist and realist who cares about genocide, human suffering and co-existence of communities. Steve Bannon was thrown out of the national security counsel. How in the hell a failed Neo-Nazi blogger ended up being the go to guy of America's national security community. These kind of losers should be in their small beer hall swearing racist insults to others. right wing nuts will eventually make Trump weak and impeachable, but if he flows the traditional American Republican party of realism and expression of American power, he could survive the Russian trap and be a real leader. I heard Jared Kushner is the man leading the new TRump. Good for him. On our side , if stops bashing and maligning innocents Muslims, and face the real issues facing America, we could support him in his effort to build America.
  12. I hope they would coordinate with government. Helping the nation state military capability is the only answer to defeat terrorism and anarchy. While the government of Yemen was struggling to defeat the opposition, America was chasing their Al-qaeda bogeymen in the mountains. While president C/laahi Yusuf (AHn) was trying to relocate to Mogadishu, they hired warlords to fight against the Islamic courts. Their record is not good. I hope they will help the Somali army and train an effective army, rather than fly drones in the country side.
  13. Turkey is on her way to be a powerful nation. They did talk to the evil Russians for their own interest , yet they are taking care of business in Syria. They are part of NATO, yet , thy are following their own strategic interests. They are already acting like a independent power.
  14. He is not a "Boqor" but a traditional extortionist from West Hargeisa Community. His other cousin was the one who raided ballot box stations last year. I guess it became a tradition on west Hargeisa Suldaans to incite war. Dhibaatadu waxa weeye Hagbadii ayey rabaan markooda in ay qaataan. Hadii nidaamkii xisbiyada iyo dawladnimadii loo bedesho hagnad iyo boob, waxaas iyo wax ka daran ayaa dhacaya.
  15. Actually, when I talked to Dr, C/raxman Baadiyow, he said the Trump shake up of global order was needed after the slow death of people under Obama.
  16. The Syrian military jests used chemical weapons in Idlip area Tuesday which caused death of many innocent civilians. First the Syrian and Russian governments denied the crime, then they reversed and claimed that the jets stroke a chemical storage which was bold faced lie. In 2011, the Russians duped the weak leadership of Obama by agreeing to relocate the chemicals to Russia, yet these weapons have been used again and again. The talking heads keep talking about how Obama was reluctant, but his in action almost changed the world peace and harmony. Syria was a relatively stable country of 25 million people. If this war does not stop many more millions will flood to the European countries and disturb the political order of those countries. The Syrian war must be looked in a global contest of refugee migration and political stability of the host countries including Turkey. The Inaction of Obama and the Syrian refugees flooding to Europe is helping the rise of right wing extremists and others to incite hate and racism. The so called anti war movement have been hijacked by the Russians and the social media is filled by Russian trolls who are working full time. People were told that the choice is between Assad and ISIS. No one is taking about that 80% of the population of Syria is against the dictatorship of Assad. How can you accept and keep in power a man who murdered 400,000 of his people. This action by president Trump is the right move, but, is it enough to remove Assad or bring the end of the war. What is clear is that the United States had always acted alone when action was needed to end genocide and abuse of civilians. In 1992, Europe watched the Bosnian genocide and did not lift finger. At the end the U.S. has stepped and ended that war. launching few missiles in Syria, or killing an Al-qaeda operative in Yemen while a civil war is going on will not bring peace or stability. We all hope this is the beginning of the end for Assad The problem in the west is the moderate liberals and conservatives used to take the moral ground in these issues. The conservatives became protectionist and xenophobic who does not care the death of others, while the liberals are wary of foreign wars. When the Russians tried to intervene the the gulf war of 1991, when Saddam invaded Kuwait the Americans never paid attention to the fading communist of Gorbachev, and when they tried to intervene again i Kosovo, the NATO led America did not head their protest. Yet when Putin offered to take the Syrian chemicals , Obama accepted and allowed the Russians to interfere with Syria. As the leader of the free world he could have ignored and took care of business. As Trump said yesterday, he left a mess. Who knows, president Trump, the man we were all despise and try to impeach might resolve both the Syrian issue and the Israeli-Palestinian issue. If that is the case we might change our mind about the reality tv president. Being decisive part of being a leader. Or as Che said the traditional republican leadership took over and they are asserting themselves.
  17. Shayrat Airfield was the target of the strike, according to CNN. The United States launched a military strike on a Syrian government target in retaliation for their chemical weapons attack on civilians earlier in the week. On President Donald Trump's orders, US warships launched between 50-60 Tomahawk cruise missiles at a Syrian government airbase where the warplanes that carried out the chemical attacks were based, US officials said. "Assad choked out the helpless," the President said. "There can be no dispute that Syria used banned chemical weapons ... and ignored the urging of the UN Security Council," he said during short remarks to reporters at Mar-a-Lago. "The refugee crisis continues to deepen and the region continues to destabilize." A US defense official said the strike was targeted on runway, aircraft and fuel points. The missiles were launched from warships in the Eastern Mediterranean. Strikes are over "until another decision is made," the official said. The strikes are the first direct military action the US has taken against the leadership of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the country's six-year civil war and represent a substantial escalation of the US' military campaign in the region, which could be interpreted by the Syrian government as an act of war. Trump was very affected by the images of dead children among the civilian casualties in the Syrian chemical weapons attack and felt compelled to act, a senior administration official said. The US began launching airstrikes in Syria in September 2014 under President Barack Obama as part of its coalition campaign against ISIS, but has only targeted the terrorist group and not Syrian government forces. Trump met with his national security team before his dinner with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Mar-a-Lago Thursday, where he made the decision to pull the trigger on the biggest military action of his presidency, an administration official says. He sat through dinner with the President Xi as action was under way. Defense Secretary James Mattis has been updating Trump about the missile strikes in Syria following his dinner with Xi, according to a US official. Mattis, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and Trump's national security adviser Gen. H.R. McMaster were with Trump at Mar-a-Lago at the time. Vice President Mike Pence remained in Washington, where he returned to the White House after dinner. Trump's order to strike the Syrian government targets came a day after he said the chemical attacks -- whose grisly effects were broadcast worldwide where videos captured in the immediate aftermath -- "crossed a lot of lines for me" and said he felt a "responsibility" to respond. "I will tell you it's already happened that my attitude toward Syria and Assad has changed very much," Trump said. "When you kill innocent children -- innocent babies -- babies -- little babies with a chemical gas that is so lethal, people were shocked to hear what gas it was, that crosses many, many lines. Beyond a red line, many, many lines," Trump said. Trump's decision to launch the strikes, the most significant military action of his young presidency, came nearly four years after the US first concluded that Syrian forces had used chemical weapons in Syria. The Obama administration concluded that Syria had violated the "red line" Obama had set a year earlier in discussing the use of chemical weapons, but ultimately decided against military action against Syria in favor of a Russian-brokered deal to extricate the country's chemical weapons stockpile. Trump at the time said the US should "stay the hell out of Syria" and urged Obama on Twitter to "not attack Syria" in the wake of the 2013 chemical attack. "There is no upside and tremendous downside. Save your 'powder' for another (and more important) day," he tweeted in September 2013. Trump repeatedly criticized Obama during his presidential campaign for not acting on his "red line" threat, but the real estate mogul also argued against deepening the US' military involvement in Syria, particularly as it related to Assad. Trump argued last May in a TV interview that he would "go after ISIS big league," but said he did not support targeting Assad's regime, arguing the US has "bigger problems than Assad." Syria's six-year civil war has claimed the lives of at least 400,000, according to a United Nations estimate released a year ago. More than 5 million Syrians have fled the country and more than 6 million more have been displaced internally, according to UN agencies.
  18. Cadaani1, the impeachment will only take place after Trumps crimes are proven in court of law by independent prosecutor , and his legitimacy to rule are weakened after lengthy investigation by authorities. Here is how the impeachment will manifest it self: first, the Russian investigation will take longer than we think, it could probably drag two more years or until the next congressional election of November, 2018.. The Watergate scandal that eventually removed president Richard Nixon started four years earlier before he resigned in 1974. The FBI already had what it needs. It has started the Trump-Russia investigation in July,2015. While the FBI did not wire tap Trump or his office, They had wire taped most of the Trump campaign guys through their foreign connections. News people are saying that "Flynn has been flipped by the FBI to get a bigger fish, and as former National Security Adviser, the only bigger fish is.... Trump himself." Trump son-in law Jared Kushner have met with the chairman of a large Russian bank in December,2016. Who knows, they would be trying to ship their assets overseas after the collapse of the empire. General Mike Flynn has registered as foreign agent ad made some deals to make money as the head of Trump's national security transition team. Trump wants extreme vetting for families trying to escape extermination, yet some how manages to place into the office of National Security Chief a rogue 3 star general that is a confirmed foreign agent being paid hundreds of thousand of dollars to do the bidding of Russia and others. This will not be left to stand in America. I did mention earlier this month that after he realized how the Russian investigation was knocking to his doors, he signed racist and illegal executive orders to ban Muslims in order to distract people from his mess. Second, Trump is in power for seventy days and so far he could not implement one single executive order that he promised to pass in day one. AS the days, months and years go by , a large number of Americans will be frustrated and will eventually realize how this con artist fooled them. The Republican party controls both houses of congress and the presidency, yet he could not achieve the first test of passing a bill inside the congress. Many republicans had realized that this man is going down with scandals and other issues, so some of them will be holding back their support, especially the fiscal conservatives who want to reduce government. The opposition democrats are becoming bolder as they smell the blood. They will not throw him any bones for his economic , immigration or other agenda. The impeachment will arrive at the back drop of a president weakened both among his original supporters and independents who were looking a shake up in Washington. The impeachment will arrive when his public support reaches a single digit or less than 20%. No rallies or public speech will save him. " Inta si fiican loo rifo , asaga oo lancay, beentiisii iyo hadal isdhaafkiisii lawada karhay ayaa la tuuri. WAxaa laga yaabaa in dadku yidhaahdaan , waar wadanka halaga badbaadiyo ninkan waalan. How about outside America and the world?. Other than few insignificant players and far right parties in Europe , he will be be abandoned by everyone. There was a credible report that when he met with German chancellor Angela Merkel last week at the white , before she departed, he gave a bill with the amount of $375 billion dollars of debt allegedly owed by Germany to U.S. The German stateswoman was not amused . She probably realized how America was screwed. Trump had declared bankruptcies four times . In 1998, he owed close to $900 million dollars. In early 2000, he could not find any American bank loaning money to a company that is in huge debt. The FBI and others believe that Trump started borrowing money from Russia, China and others to stay in business. That is some of the reasons he refused to show his tax fillings. Finally, Trump is going down, but we do not know how hard he is going to hit the floor. Waa lagu digtaa Ruux Haduu Kuu Daraan Jiraye Bal Dayaay waakaa Trump Sii Dabayshadaye.
  19. Aaway hogaankii dadka jihayn lahaa ee nolol cusub u bilabilahaa. An elite without conscience is the worst think that could happen to a people.
  20. Few months ago I did watch at home (pay per view)the movie "Wag the Dog" staring Robert De Nero and Dustin Hoffman. It was about an American president who was accused of rape and in order to divert attention, his surrogate, De Nero manufactures a war from no ware. It is a classic and he succeeded. Since Trump is going down, I am afraid that he might create wars or other crazy things to divert attention. I am worried about this man and what he might do to survive.
  21. Any way, I don see the responses until I refresh the screen.
  22. Another issue the more conservative side of the house would not cooperate with him on anything, whether it's health care, infrastructure or other issues. I order to do any thing in the next six months he must work with the democrats. He has to abandon his stupid Muslim country of origin Ban, the wall and all other crazy ideas. I thing we will get him sooner than I thought .
  23. Che, I never followed the Turkish side of the story, especially the kidnapping of Gullen. How about Mike pence? doesn't he on the line to succeed? or you think he too might be tainted.
