Yet a very small percentage of that money goes to the people who need these services. Now, the Somali government must intervene and scrutinize the activity of these agencies and their aid. No wells were built, no water reservoirs were built, and there were no roads or fishing communities established. All the money went to Hargeisa and ended up to the coffers of the elite. One of the major reason of the inflation is that there are looted millions of dollars in the market with few commodities like food, clothing, fuel and other which are all imported. Those from Awdal who are sitting in Mogadishu must demand their share of the federal government and transfer the money to well established local aid agencies like Amoud foundation and help alleviate the poverty. You can not leave these people at the mercy of a hungry tribe who is building tribal capacity not the people's capacity.
