This trust cannot be gained unless there is a change of heart and increase in taqwa among the people, a successful grassroots reconciliation is accomplished, and a social contract is concluded between the people and their political leaders. But one wonders how is all this going to be achieved if the political leaders in Mogadishu keep pretending to represent the people of Somaliland with their hand picked and illegitimate placeholders!

Of the roughly four million inhabitants, a very large section is surely under the age of 15 who wouldn't be eligible to register for voting. Another sizeable section of the society would also not bother to stand in the awfully long queues under the blazing sun. I think most Americans will soon have a worst standard of life than the average Chinese. With all the racism and racial strive, demographic change and the subsequent decline of white privilege, insecurity, corporate dictatorship, abuse of workers, concentration of wealth and power in the hands of a few zionist tyrants, endless expensive wars abroad, etc the future is not bright for the US.
