  1. Alderman;742609 wrote: As if Somalis themselves are not racist against black Africans. See the treatment Somali Bantus (Jareers) get in Somalia. I agree with you on this one. Instead of focusing on other people's behaviour towards us, we should stop and consider the history of Somali ignorance imposed on tribes that are considered the minority in Somalia. Every nation has an element of racism to it and we are on the forefront of hypocricy and racism. I never noticed it before but as time goes by I am presented with examples of this type of segregation and racism day in and day out. Coming back to the topic: Some wayward Somalis in Lybia openly declared their solidarity for Gaddafi. Can't remember where I read this but they even went as far as joining Gaddafi's troops in exchange of a better life in Lybia (if the regime is still in place). The Pan Africanist group from Uganda issued this statement in their blog in the initial stages of the Lybian uprising Fred Bamwine, operations coordinator of a group called Pan Africanists told reporters in Uganda that the coalition forces, led by the United States, "are deceiving the world that they want to save Libyan civilians against Libyan troops but the fact is that they are interested in oil". "We, the pan Africans can not simply look on as USA and her allies attack Libya with the intention of killing Gaddafi so that they steal the oil. We have given them three days to stop or else we will mobilze a force of 4 million fighters and go to Libya and fight alongside troops that support Gaddafi," he added. Ka xaa-xaabiya dheh. I feel sorry for them but its their fault for meddling in the affairs of a nation that is rejecting its own leader. The rebels will erase anyone or anything that are on their path to freeing themselves from the clasp of the tyrannt. Its just sad that innocent qaxotis who went there to earn an innocent buck are going to be used as human sheilds.
  2. Minister shidan wayebee ----Ehem ehem,,Just remembered its Ramadan. Young leaders is what Africa needs,,,,,,Down wayeels Down
  3. Ethiopians were qaxootis in Mogadishu in the 70's and 80's. Marqaati dheer maba u baahni my father used to issue them visa's in the late 80's and resident permits to stay and work in the country. If they had it so dandy why would they opt to migrate? I dont even need to highlight the "war" angle, since oo horey loo sheegey. Comparing a waring nation with a peaceful one is just ridiculous. Im not surprised laakin dad badan oo ee Xamar ka buuxsantey, banaanka darbiyada madaxa ku garaacaayo, clearly qaraar haayo can say whatever they want. Mogadishu was among the elite cities, if not the best city in East Africa, so dadka qurbaha mahdiyeey waxaan odhan lahaa,,,,calaacalka dhaafaa, ask for a visa and we shall accommodate the qaxootis, we are very friendly like that. Nin tiisa daryeelaa tu kale ku dara aan maqli jirey. I would suggest picking up history books and read about the devastating prints a war leaves on a nation and how they bounced back to be bigger and better than before. We will silence the ney sayers Insha Allah, wait and see. Waaaa ShaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaSH!
  4. Odayga wa la haaya ilkaha uu ku dagaalamooyaa naf maleh isboorko dheh. Why uu dadka usii salfana when he had his time, enjoyed the loot in his prime, whats the point of staying if his forces aren't strong enough to defend him? Akhas caleeyk. He is hiding like a girl now, the rebels have entered his compound. Good riddence. I hate dictators who go out without their dignity intact. Ileen ceeb looma dhinto
  5. Abdul;742511 wrote: They are only trying to help.We should thank them for that. HAHAHAHAHAHA That comment was actually intended for another thread (The one JB started about International Investors). Yaab walaahi I dont know how it ended up here? Soonka dad badan aa gees gees u socdaa ani camal ma is tiri? I expected Iran to extend their generosity because Ahmedinejad had gone on record saying he likes the Somali people, but Turkey beat them to it. Nevertheless whoever helps our people is a friend. Jazakallah kheyr to their kindness.
  6. I feel like Im there. Femme magnificent pix, ever thought of makin big bucks out of your photography? Whatever cam you're using, this is amazing. I used to work for a Publishing house, gaaladaan sawirada ee for the magazine galin jireen are no where near these trust me.
  7. They want to buy the country, how jaahil of them. Having said that if the situation of self-destruction and lack of a solid governing continues their wish may come true. International investors kulahaa, sawirsanaa waxu. If they only knew how anti-gaal our people were, they would think 2wice
  8. If every story was told Im sure it would make an impact on a lot of people. I liked the barber's story, it oozed very raw and innocent emotions. Ismahaan.......Wadan aan Civil War soo marin aduunka weey yaryahiin, I guess it was our turn. Everything that happens is pre-planned and pre-destined by Allah SWT. Dad Muslim ah jabkooda inaad ku jeesjeestid waad ku qaladan walaashiis. These people (as you can see) are hard working people who were not Military or Government officers. If the fact that 2 of them lost their children and one of them was wounded did not inspire even a hint of naxariis in you, I dont know what will. Subxanallah...Hana iga xanaaqin abaayo. MMA...thanx walaalkiis.
  9. Dunida waxaa ugu liita dad aan dal laheyn oo wadamo islaameed is raacsiiyeey
  10. Good idea but this government is doomed for failure as there is no mention of a female leader in there (unless genius pauper is a girl). Sorry g,,,,your name is non-gender specific. Apologies if you are not a girl
  11. We must not forget our African family (Uganda and Burundi) for their contribution. All this wouldn't have been possible without the help of the AU and their qashin aruuris efforts.
  12. Waxaan la yaabey lakin when and how did Mogadishu have the resources and the time to prepare on such short notice? Their welcome banners made me smile thou "all translated n proper". They are jokaaaz kx kx kix kxkxkx

  15. Im neither offended nor surprised. Diinta ka baxaa shegtee aa sheegtee hal hal uga fanfaniinaa hadii rabtiin. I have met a Somali Jew wannabe, a few Somali Athiests (one of them is my cousin), and some confused Malis who dont have any barrings or hold on their beliefs. To each their own baan leeyahay. Allaha soo hadeeyo. Whoever said Wiki is not a reliable source was right. My then 8 yr old niece wrote on one the Qabiil links that her Grandmother is the head of Al Qaeda and the CIA are looking for her. Infact it still might be there lol. Everytime I wanna laugh I simply log on

  19. loooooooooooooooool Awrightyyy den, I will change it. Black is so bland laakin boring iyo nus.
  20. Aliyaah lol waa iga qoslisey gurigaada miyaanan qof kuu ilaalin marka dhahdey. Xamar is not as we remember. I was told people even built houses in the middle of the roads, dariiqa sidaa ugu socotid guri aa kusoo celinaayo yaab. And qof kasto bartuu ku dhinto ayaa lagu duugaa. My aunt told me qabuuraha waxaa la geeyaa dad yar oo lacag leh who can afford to travel to the qabuuraha. My dumashi and his friend were kaftameyning habeen, I was sitting there minding my own biznis, dhagaheyga aa waxaa ku dhacey my dumashi saying "war hebelow maxaad ka hadleysaa meydkaad xadi jirtee". I asked him maxa ka wadaa. Kulahaa ninkaan waaguu Somalia joogeey meydka ayuu xadi jirey. He used to blackmail families and demand top $$$ in exchange of the meydka. Waa naxey walaahi. Ninki difaac uu galay, mayaa waagaas waan yaraa, kaligeey ma aheyn, dad badan ku shaqeysan jirey kulaaha. I made sure I jabi the koob uu shaah ku cabey. Aniga maaba meelu joogo mar dambe istaagaayo, waaba horror film lugeynaayo, *Acudubilaah mina sheytaani rajiim*. Steven King can write amazing books out of these horrendous stories, subhanallah.
  21. Only in Minnefabulous you'll find maqayad called "Quruxlow Restaurant" waa meel funny eh. I loved their bariis. If anyone asks me meeshu ku yaalo all I remember is its off a long road University Avenue la dhaho and its opposite a huge liquor store. Tilmaam kale maku aqaano lolz Ma qaldey mise waan saxanahay? Speaking of food, went to my sister-in-laws for Afur yesterday. Indhahaan ka dhargey, she made so much stuff yaab. I had a baquuli of vegetable soup and a fruit salad, with a couple of bur in between. Ilaahey kheyr ha siiyee. Saxuur at midnight, I missed my morning toast, had 2 slices with malmalaato. Very light afur today -----2 Parathas with Palak Paneer ----Skipped saxuur, can't be bothered, its too hot. Had a baaldi of biyo qaboow, and Im good to go Insha Allah
  22. Its true horta, its disturbing to know Black people view us as being different than them. I used to think kibirka anaguu naga yimid. I was once invited as a "guest/non-black/other" to a Black African Cultural event. Yaab badanaaa. My Nigerian friend passed me an invitation iyadoo dhaheyso ----"Oh by the way Whites, Indians and Arabs are coming too", as if to imply I won't feel out of place camal. Maxa ka rabtaa hee wasaqiinta sankaan ka galgaliyeey qasab, I made sure they learnt about our culture and the significance Somalia has in Africa. Its not their fault laakin, we as Somalis, carried nothing but war stories and qax with us. Its our responsibility to showcase our culture, tradition and language to the masses me finks. Back to the topic.......The dude Libaax posted is so racist subxanallah. I support racist oppinions laakin, purely because if we're not reminded of being a guest in these countries, we will never learn to love our heritage and our country. I wish these governments would go one step further and kick all the Somalis out of their countries. Wadankeena mar hore uu hagaagi lahaa hadii nalin lahaa. My 2 Birs PS: Somalia weey hagaagtey la dhahay-----Who's coming with me?
  23. This is why I hate London. It is not fair on those who work hard and live on a shoestring budget and qaxootis are still sponging off the system. 20+ YRS and we are on handouts, pathetic and disgraceful. Every morning when I open the papers I wish I dont come across another pitiful Somali story urrghhhh. So embarrasing! On second thought its the council's fault. They could have easily transfered this family to another city with cheaper, bigger houses, No? London in la dago qasab miyaa? The state should send them back to Coventry ayaka iyo bustayaashoda.
  24. ^^google me aboo lolz (you'll get further 10% discount for checkin me out) African yaasha yaan la nabin laakin Xamar hortood ee saan iyo si ka daran aheed
