The IMF is in town

^^ Very good point. But if there is an air disaster and Somaliland refuses to cooperate, it would damage Somaliland's credibility and standing in the region. Somaliland's airspace may become off limits to international air travel which will have a huge impact on Somaliland's economy and the booming Hargeisa/Duba/Djibouti/Addis travel business.

I missed that. Old_Observer, can you tell to us how you understood the words of our beloved sister Barwaaqo?

Egypt is run by a monster who turned the entire Egyptian media into frightened sycophant. No one dares to question the master and his policies.

The two professors: Back to Muqdisho or Minnesota
Holac replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
Even if Mr. Bihi tells them it is over, they may not go anywhere. The sun is good for the ageing bones. This is madadaalo for them. It keeps them relevant. It keeps them busy. The two professors are getting pension every month from America, and have no kids to raise at this time. Life is really good. Why not enjoy sunny Hargeisa as a seasonal retirement spot while staying relevant through the media every month. -
Missed @Bluelicious Was going to ask her about her experience with herbal teas. Starting to drink herbal tea. My aunt brought spices from Somalia and they are different from the ones in North America. Even the cinnamon smells different. Must be a variety.

You didn't say the spot and city? I may fly just for the tea as well. Spill the beans saxib!!

There is not much that Somaliland can do about this.

Yemeni rebels threaten to strike Somaliland’s Berbera port

This report is a rehash of what we have been discussing here. That reporter Mr. Billow must be SOL member. -
OO, I heard that 30% - 40% of Tigray people is Muslim, especially in Eritrea. Is that number accurate?
-
If tensions escalate, the Egyptians will put all that 4.8 billion to waste by bombing the dam. Ethiopia must engage Egypt through sincere dialogue.

Anook, look at how many SOLers you attacked today or tried to silence their voice, going as far as to kick them out of SOL (asking Adminisrator). 1. Barwaaqo 2. Suldaanka 3. Holac 4. Old_Observer 5. Amigos Your behavior is becoming suspicious saxib. You are more like a hired troll to damage the forum. As for me and my clan, I don't have to disclose anything to you. I am who I am. I am Somali. I love all Somalis. I respect all Somalis and Non-Somalis on this fora.

Turkey and Saudi Arabia are two key countries for ensuring permanent peace and stability in the Middle East, Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said late Wednesday during an official visit to the Kingdom. "It is necessary for both Saudi Arabia and Turkey to work jointly, not only for the benefits of two countries individually but also for regional and global peace," Yıldırım added. "We have discussed the ways to improve our bilateral trade and cooperation in the defense industry. I can say that we share almost the same view in terms of ways of solution for the matters concerning us and the region," he concluded. Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad Bin Salman will visit Turkey soon, Yıldırım also announced after a meeting with the prince. Yıldırım arrived in Saudi Arabia earlier on the same day. The prime minister first met the Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz. Yıldırım and Salman agreed on the necessity of taking a common stance to protect the Palestinians' rights, according to prime ministerial sources. Riyadh, a close U.S. ally, and NATO member Ankara have both slammed U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to upend decades of careful Washington policy, recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. In an hour-long closed-door meeting, the two leaders discussed the importance of Jerusalem's status, the sources said on conditions of anonymity. They also agreed that the Muslim countries should take a common stance on the protection of the rights of the Palestinians. They said the U.N. General Assembly's decision to reject the U.S. move on Jerusalem has sent a strong message. The meeting also discussed bilateral relations as well as the deep-rooted historical and religious ties between Turkey and Saudi Arabia. The state-controlled Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said King Salman received Prime Minister Binali Yıldirım in Riyadh and discussed "means of boosting bilateral ties and developments in the region," without providing details. https://www.dailysabah.com/diplomacy/2017/12/27/turkey-saudi-arabia-key-for-ensuring-peace-in-the-region-pm-yildirim-says

Same passionate supporters of Somaliland, just different sub-clans I think. I don't believe Suldaanka and Barwaaqo are paid trolls because I have seen them comment on other topics that are not related to Somaliland.

Galbeedi, I never thought Old_Observer was Somali. He could also be Somali with strong ties to TPLF (remember Illey was crying helpless when Meles died). Does it matter though? He is informative and plays by the rules. Isn't it our job to counter views we don't agree with? OO, I didn't know Ethiopia was instrumental in getting ICC off Al-Bashir's back. Al-Sisi is a merciless dictator who is murdering his own people. I have not come across any Somali who likes that man. Don't be surprised if you hear Egypt and Saudi Arabia are planning to counter Erdogan's move on Sudan.

I once met a brother called Abdi-Abdi. He said that his grandmother gave him the name. Now that takes the crown. Here is another interesting fact. Some Somali parents also name their daughters Abdo or Cabdo/Cabda.

lol@ Zombie. Kenya wants to build a buffer zone at the expense of Somali land.
