Muuse Lokal: Axmedoow, meet me, see me, please
Holac replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in Politics
This has to be the longest that a Somaliland president had to wait to meet with high ranking Ethiopian officials. Mr. Bihi must act quickly before the rumors that Ethiopia is actually pushing for a regime change in Somaliland become mainstream. Many of the Somaliland elites in Virginia-DC area believe that Abey wants a regime change in Somaliland. Some argue that Col. Caare's rebellion is getting a nod of approval from Addis. @Old_Observermay have more information on this. -
Clearly the Farmaajo government failed to impress. The perils of Facebook/Twitter presidency.

As long as the plot is not to destroy Djibouti, I am all fine with Eritrea joining IGAD, Arab Leage and all other orgs. Let us hope for the best.

Alshabaab takes out entire hodan head quarters + allot of casulaties
Holac replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
When will this government get a good handle on security? There are more Alshabaab killings after Farmaajo was elected than before. The numbers are staggering. -
Oodweyne and Tillamook, there is no need for that language. Masaajidka cayda kala baxa.

Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia leaders to meet in Asmara
Holac replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
The UAE has no interest in seeing Eritrea, which it bankrolled its comeback to the international scene, make peace with Djibouti. Let us hope Farmaajo isn't planning to take Djibouti to the slaughter house for his own interests. The UAE can't be trusted. -
Ducaale, did you listen to what is in the video that Dahireeto posted? It is a short clip. Either this leader is paid heavily by the Oromo expansionists and is lying to us, or it is true this family is Oromo and has nothing to do with Somalis. Don't attribute every ill to D-block. The Oromos are fighting the G**re in Moyale and the fighting in Tulli-Guuleed between the Giraffe - Jaarso was going on for many decades before Illey. Some things are not as black and white. Galbeedi, I noticed this week, the Jaarso diaspora is on a big mission to change the subject and bring back the narrative that Jaarso are Somalis. This family was not active on Social media, but things are changing now. They could be on to something, but it doesn't help when the grand Sultan of the clan is on video, disputing the very fact that Jaarso is a Somali clan.

I agree. It is just a matter of time before Abey starts to destabilize Somalia.
-
There is a silver lining in all of this. This is the first time in a long time we see Somali leaders from different clans united for a cause (federalism) they believe is bigger than their personal ambitions. It is a good thing.

I believe Awdal got an important minister, but Duriyada family got nothing. That is quite disappointing.

Mogadishu in the 60s and 70s.

Dalmar1, your list has only 22 members. The total I've seen is 27. Before we jump to conclusions, let us do some research and find out the clans these ministers/directors hail from. If what you listed is true and important Somali clans in the region are totally ignored, we can assume@Abtigiis has failed in his duty to bring people together.

Fascinating speech.

Saalax, what do you think will happen in Sanaag if the next President of Somaliland is Cirro or someone else from his subclan? Will the locals start becoming loyal citizens of Somaliland again? Is that all it would take?

Dear Mr. Abey, we Somalis know that Illey was always Ethiopian state-sponsored terrorist, and his usefulness ended after he attacked your Oromo expansionists. We get it. Fadlan, stop riding the moral high horse when there are Somali mothers living without breasts on their chest because of Oromo brutality. When the fun times are over, your friend Lema, will also see justice one day. Abtigiis, please pass this message to your boss.

Old Observer is actually Somali.
