It was more like an Italian cat and mouse game, Chelsea had the clearer oprnings earlyon while Liverpool were less effective but grew in confidence as the game went on. Drogba has the physical presence to unsettle many defenders, especially those from Germany who are used to the passing game rather than the long ball game. That left foot shot he missed was just disgraceful, £24m and no left foot? come on saxib! Soma Inc, your boys are sounding too arrogant, i hope we stuuf their comments back down their throughts. Sky Sports commentators Andy Gray and Alan Parry were so biased last night. Every comment was oh Chelsea this and Chelsea that. Andy Gray has always hated Liverpool (being an ex Everton player) so he takes every opportunity to have a go at Liverpool. He has been doing that for the past 13 years  . I want to hear what he says if we end up winning the competition. This morning coverage on Sky Sports News and many papers was all about Mourinhos comments after the game of "99.9% of Liverpool fans think they are already in the final". We are happy to be one game away from the CL Final after a disastorous season with injuries. Hes trying the old reverse phsycology trick on a european stallion. Not gonna work Jose. Anyway, i have said enough already, lets wait until next week (Tue ITV1 @ 7.30pm) Peace

Ducaqabe says: It's also deceiving to say HIV/AIDS is white man's problem and it does not affect Muslims. Thats exactly what he was saying, it is not only a white problem but is also our problem, we need to stop being ignorent about the whole thing and realise that the risks are far greater (back home even more so with limited medical supplies and treatment resulting in the re-use of needles)than we think. QL pointed out that HIV/AIDS doesnt come about from sex only. I heard a story about a wadhaad and his family who all became infected. It was a mistery for a few years how they could have become infected. Then it was realised that they had a maid/servant back home. This maid/servant cooked for the family each day. She had a tendancy to cut her fingers whilst cutting the various meats/vegs etcs. The family unknowing kept eating her food for years and got HIV/AIDS. It was only at a GP check up that the father was found to have the disease then the whole family were found also to have it. The family were not Somali but this shows that NO ONE is 100% safe.

^^PSV were very unlucky not to have a quality striker,,,, Well last nights match was probably the nerve racking i have evey experienced in my life. Chelsea had 3 very good chances but failed to hit the target (Viking do you still have confidence in Drogba?) and we had 2 half chances which hit the target. We played better in the second half and controlled the game more. Xabi Alonso was excellent again, Makalele is a top player, Gerrard and Lampard were over-shadowed by the spaniard and frenchman. I was very dissapointed with the atmosphere last night. The Chelsea fans were very quiete, it was like another league game to them. ITS THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI FINAL! . What a contrast next week at Anfield with all the cnahting, flags flying and flares glowing from the KOP. A night to remeber i hope, we are one game away from the CL final and i can not believe it, i keep pinching myself. After giving up on football altogether at the end of last season after Houllier tactics, if you told me at the start of the season we would be one game away from the CL final (Milan are not there yet by the way)i would have laughed in your face . Next will be an even BIGGER game. Operator: Hello 118 118 which number would you like please? Northerner: Turkish Airlines please

When you walk through a storm, hold your head up high, and don't be afraid of the dark, at the end of the storm is a golden sky and the sweet silver song of a lark, walk on through the wind walk on through the rain, though your dreams be tossed and blown, walk on walk on with hope in your heart, and you'll never walk alone, you'll never walk alone, alone, alone, alone

^^its politics saxib, if i wanted something from you then a complement may be in order just to get what i wanted, capish? Politics is a game of chess, sometimes you may need to send your bishop to an obvious death/capture, this makes the opponent/associate feel good about himself (confident) but your focus is still on the main prize (the Queen = recognition)in the hope of getting what you want.

Phanta Dont put yourself through taking your freinds to a Somali joint. Just think of the looks you will get from the 'enlightened' ppl in the restaurant  . The usual 'kuwana maanta yaa wadha'? will be heard as soon as each farax walks in hoping to get the latest lowdown from the BBC, or watch the live football game via an illegal satelite transmission . Do yourself a favour and jump on the metropolitan or jubilee and make your way to Edgware Road then pretend your an Arab for the evening.

Give the guy a break, hes infected and has set out to inform others of the problems we face. It may not sound nice but it is becomming a problem back home and here in the UK. We have had ppl taken to prison who have 'knowingly' infected women with the virus. As soon we have someone who has a 'more' positive outlook on his and his ppls situation we all line up to criticise  “Typically, men blame women and women blame men. Qat, a leaf with amphetamine-like properties, is strongly related to unprotected sex in the Somali community. Often men will chew Qat all night long and afterwards, they want sex. But if their wives, busy with family and domestic chores, aren’t available, they’ll go out to get extra-marital sex. Yes, this is a common occurance and not a lie. I wish him and his organisation all the best in informating those that need it and being an outlet for them.

Good point Viking, Arsenal are very competitive with smaller budget than Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool. But with the new stadium bringing in an extra £1.5m per game next season, Arsenal now have more money to spend. Wenger relies 'too much' on the younger players. Maybe hes right, maybe hes wrong but you sometimes need to spend money on an established world class player(s). the last time Arsenal did that was when they signed Sol Campbell and that was for free or Gilberto Silva whom they have missed this season. Arsenal need a predator striker, a quality & experienced centre back, a more skillfull wingers (Pirez & Ljungerg need a challenge), Reyes needs to toughen up, Viera is still the man, Henry needs a good rest in the summer. So who is going to the Cup Final, or are we all a bunch of armchair supporters. In 2001 i had to give up a ticket to the final due to a freind getting married  Tickets>>> http://www.sports-index.co.uk/cgi-bin/view.pl?board=sitp

First of all Rooney is a very good player, did you see that goal vs Newcastle (the volley) English players are Hyped up its true. As for the final, well no Henry for Arsenal, we all know what that means, no Arsenal. Even if he does play, he will only go missing again

I cant believe i missed it, the BBC have done similar programmes ie What the ancients did for us on BBC2 - talked of how the Islamic world contributed to civilisation in Europe and its influences are still noticed today. Part 2: Wednesday 27 April 7.30pm-8pm There is a certain football match on at the same time, but VHS is the bomb! Nice one Suldaanka

lol impressive stats, not a bad return on six games, we stayed at hotels (kiiled the room service) i bet you did, all those calls to Somalia then blaming it on some one else is a standard trick (if you had others with you), there was only 1 stump standing Thats what happens when play against you Shoab Akhtars As for me I scored 142 runs in 6 games average of 23 run pg, highest score 56 run and for wickets 11 and 4 catches…. Not half bad I reckon Not bad at all, is that 11 wickets from your deliveries?? how many overs per team? glad you had a good time over there on the other side of the world, as for me, i think my days of competitive footy are truelly numbered, i tried a backheel last week during a game of 5-a-side and fell falt on my face , no more tournaments home or away!

No fear ppl, being fat actually makes you live longer By Jeremy Laurance, Health Editor 21 April 2005 Fat people have won a health reprieve from a study which showed that those who are overweight tend to live longer than those of normal weight. Doctors may have to re-think the definition of the ideal weight after researchers found that the risks of piling on the pounds do not become evident until people are extremely obese. And the fashion world's obsession with slenderness also comes under threat from the finding that being underweight is linked with a higher death rate. The unexpected results, from the latest and most comprehensive study of the impacts of obesity, suggest that current advice to maintain a normal weight may have to be rethought. Obesity has tripled in Britain since 1980 and now affects 22 per cent of the adult population. More than half of British adults - 24 million people - are defined as overweight. David Haslam, chairman of the UK National Obesity Forum said: "The findings should certainly set us thinking. Even though we are getting fatter, in a society that is putting more emphasis on a healthier lifestyle, the impact may be lessened. "It does raise the possibility that we will have to change the criteria for what we regard as overweight." The researchers, from the Centres for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Cancer Institute in the US, analysed death rates and body mass index (BMI) Among the obese there were 112,000 excess deaths compared with those of normal weight but the vast majority of these - 82,000 - were in the extremely obese category with a BMI of 35 or over. There were 34,000 excess deaths among underweight people but there were 86,000 fewer deaths among the overweight than those of normal weight. The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, claims to be the most rigorous yet with the figures taking into account age, sex, race, smoking and drinking. But its findings conflict with earlier studies published in the journal which showed a much higher risk from obesity. Last year, Julie Geberding, director of the CDC, published a paper warning that obesity and being overweight were causing an extra 400,000 deaths a year and that the expanding girth of Americans would soon overtake smoking as the principal cause of premature death. The authors of the new study say they have taken account of improvements in medical care, such as the wider use of cholesterol lowering drugs, as well as using different methods of gathering their data. The main health risk in the obese is heart disease but a second study in the journal, also by researchers from CDC, shows that over the past 40 years cholesterol and blood pressure levels have come down sharply and smoking has decreased - the key factors that cause early death. Extra weight increases the risk of diabetes and arthritis, but people have become more aware of the heart disease risks that obesity usually brings and of the need to keep fit, and recent evidence suggests walking may have increased. "The net result of these phenomena may be a population that is, paradoxically, more obese, diabetic, arthritic, disabled and medicated but with lower overall cardiovascular disease risk," the authors say. The researchers do not offer an explanation of why extra weight may prolong life but previous studies have suggested that the ideal weight increases with age. Older people need extra fat to tide them over when they fall ill and cannot eat normally. The finding lends support to the theory that it is fitness not fatness that matters. But the researchers only looked at how long people lived, not at the quality of their lives. Some doctors have expressed scepticism at the results, warning of the danger of complacency in the face of the epidemic of obesity. But others have welcomed the challenge to the accepted orthodoxy. Barry Glassner, professor of sociology at the University of Southern California, told The New York Times: "The take-home message is unambiguous. What is officially deemed overweight these days is actually the optimal weight." Fat figures * The division of the population into underweight, normal weight, overweight and obese is by body mass index (BMI), a measure of height and weight. A BMI of below 18.5 is underweight. Normal weight is 18.5 to 24. People with a BMI of 25 to 29 are classed overweight and above 30 as obese. * A person of average height - 5ft 8in (173cm) - and weighing less than 8st 10lbs (55.5kg) is underweight. Up to 11st 9lbs is normal. Overweight is between 11st 9lbs and 13st 11lbs. Above that they would be 'obese'. Once their BMI rises above 35 - 16st 5lbs - they would be 'extremely obese'. * In the new study from the US Centres for Disease Control, the lowest death rate was among those with a BMI from 25 to 29 - currently 'overweight'. * Studies suggest the ideal bodyweight, associated with the lowest risk of premature death, is a BMI of 25 - currently between normal and overweight. * BMI = weight in kgsdivided by height in metres-squared.
