  1. Barca are beatable, who ever gets the first goal wins! Come on Barca!
  2. Many Muslims believe Alexander was Dhul Qarnain (the two horned one)- refer to the latter parts of suratal Khahf.
  3. So the Arses qualify in 4th,,,,Highbury the worst stadium i have ever been to to shutting down for good. TH is on his way to Barca (CL Champs in 2 weeks). LFC for the Cup and with their highest no of points in prem. Man Usa, well Man Usa. Chelski win again but will be watching LFC in afinal again. Harry Houdini did the trick. End of season!
  4. One must take every opportunity for Dawa. Even the smallest words portraying the beauty of Islam has a great reward. Stating our belief in Ibrahim, Musa and Issa is always a good starting point for a casual conversation as many non-muslims think Islam is an alien religion with no ties to the previous books.
  5. The kaftan iyo dacayed with other Somalis you have never met before nor will probably never meet again while on your travels The 'i must look you because your a Somali' thingy while on your travels Being good to our parents and the family unit

    Nicolas Anelka

Yes, Nicola Anelka grew up in a Parisian suburb with many Algerian freinds. They used to discuss Islam until the early hours sitting on park benches. I knew he was a muslim from a Pakistani freind who spotted him at mosque in Dewsbury (near Manchester). Do you remember the Ronny Osolivan farce a few years ago?

  8. you will be allowed to use the TV between 12am and 6am, unless they replay a good game that I missed during the day Bring it on!
  9. OK, enough of the huballu, let get technical here. 1) What are the pre-requisits for judging a person guilty of the said crime? 2) Who can make such decisions? What qualifications must they have? Must they be voted in to make such decisions? By whom? 3) Can an un-elected court make such decisions? 4) Should the whole country recognise such court for it to be able to operate 'islamically'? 5) Can killer today shiek tomorrow make such decisions? 6) How do you determine one's qualification in fiqh if one has no degree from an established Uni? In my opinion, the killing of the man based on a decision from an 'islamic' court was illegal as the the answers to the above questions were not adhered to, therefore making the whole process futile. Maybe our learned brothers and sisters can shed some light on this.
  10. Soma-Inc Liverpool outplayed Chelsea until you got the goal back which a mistake. Blame Morinho for silly tactics trying to contain Liverpool. Stevie G was above everyone else. It should have been at least 3-1 at half time! You dominated in the last 30mins because you had Cole, Duff and Robben on the pict at the same time yet i do not recall one clear cut chance! ^^Its that man Garcia again!!!! ps where has Fat Frank been for the past couple of months?
  11. What is legal is not always moral. Thanks for clarifying your position, Mr Somalinimo iyo dalnimo  The TFG in 1 year and a half has the recognition of the world, what have you achieved Mr Secesionists Cheer on saxib, questions beg, What is recognition without peace? How long will the TFG get its act together and actually do something progressive? When do you expect peace? When will elections (local/national) take place? Do you expect warlords to bring peace? realism saxib, realism,,,, Insha allah peace will come about soon but i'm not confident it will be brought from a warlord govnt. I would rather be unrecognised if the other option is anarchy and meyhem
  12. ^^What i still do not understand is the Somaliland is a tribal state business. Somalia has had more trouble over the past 15 years with tribalist (whether it be within one tribe or otherwise) than Somaliland. But yet Somaliland is the tribalist state?? Ahhh, i forgot, because there is a majority tribe who does not abuse its powers on the minority tribes therefore its tribalist state  You have a place where tribes have an understanding and agree that peace, stability and progress is the key and another place where the tribes have utter hate and mistrust towards eachother wiich continually feeds the violence and helpless state. A dose of realism doesnt hurt people.
  13. Northerner, There are plenty of our brothers dying from a lack of anything. Do you find that acceptable? Answer a question with a question, a progressive debate indeed,,, Let me try to make more simple, dying because of a lack resources whether it be due to lack of governance or lack of rain is quite different to that of killing your brothers for the benefit of a foriegn company to conduct 'research'. You get me? Northerner, your point is not valid here, no one is being targeted here and it sure is legal for Puntland state which is part of the internationally recognised TFG to exploit its resources.. Legal without consulting with other tribes who reside there and are opposed to it? What is it mobb rule? ps we both know the TFG is seen as a joke 'internationally'
  14. ^^It is ok for Somalis to die in the process? Is it legal? do you really think Somalis will benefit? Killing your fellow Somalis for the benefit of others???

  17. Azmaya, good little rant but i'm a afriad its baseless as i mentioned before. Blaming us/africans/blacks 100% is not right so at least acknowledge it. As i said before bad governence or no government at all does not enable a perfrect country where everyone is able to get clean drinking water. If a lazy man can change the climate then please share this theory. Hurto, the West forces the African governments to take loans from IMF, world bank? Yes Lets also blame the West for making Africans to kill each other like animals with axes, guns Western supported corrupt regimes lead to oppression and poverty which leads to revolt and the purchasing of arms from Europe to kill eachother. lets blame the west for the Aids epidemic Health services in many African countries is regulated by EU/US interests. Medicines for HIV/AIDS is priced the same in Africa as in the US/EU, why? Because Phizer and GSK say so. lets blame the west for corruption of leaders, see previous note,,, lets blame the West for the droughts and misfortunes no, thats just the weather you can not control it but we are not in a position to counter this as water resources is never a priority in many african countries. Thereore, to simply blame it on 'laziness' is nonesense.
  18. People are starving due to the climate coupled with bad governance and misplaced priorities. One can only do so much. Pray for them as its clearly not in our control. The whole 'blacks/africans are lazy' thing is futile when Africa is mostly in debt and regulated by western powers who are at the same time enabling us to sit in our comfy homes and criticise our people from a safe distance while nipping to kitchen for a bottle of Evian! As SB pointed out, Famine also happens elsewhere, to simply conclude its only in Africa is short-sighted. Therefore, throws the whole blacks are lazy thing in the air. Everyone experiences difficulties, nations/peoples are test be allah cazawajal from time to time. Who knows tomorrow some of us my suffer and get the lazy tag along with it
  19. Some good pics there Red Sea, we need some from the miyi saxib. ps building material trade is big business in Dubai to SL container ships. There is a whole heap of steel reinforcement not needed on the project i'm on currently on. Negotiating with contractor on a cut price/free offer,,,
  20. The level of passion for the game is scary when you think of it and Germany 2006 is just around the corner. I will view it as a nuetral, at least try to,,,
  21. An interesting read by a muslim's reflections on supporting football teams and its often unknown/unseen effects. I was walking down a street and I spotted a couple of Muslim children playing football in a far corner. I smiled to myself remembering the old times in which I used to play on this very same place. A child then played an extremely brilliant defense splitting ball through the middle, which was equally breathtakingly controlled and finished in one movement. I gasped at the skill and finish. Hence, when the child started to celebrate I was completely heart-broken. He was pointing to himself and calling himself ‘God’, imitating a certain footballer. Again blatant Shirk and again our children’s minds are being polluted. Muslims imitating the Kuffar and leaving the sunnah and ways which our Prophet has so mercifully taught us should be means of concern for all. Hence, there are two points that I would like to raise and make clear. a) Wearing football shirts which advertise breweries b) Wearing red football shirts A Religious Injunction Regarding Football Given by a Particular Jurist This is an extremely fine matter to comment on. Many jurists, such as Mufti-e-Azam of Pakistan, Moulana Rashid Ahmed Ludhyanwi have gone to the extreme. His point of view is as follows: Firstly, he defines the words ‘physical exercise’ into two. a) One which is apparently linked with jihad. b) And one which has no apparent link. Mufti Rashid Saheb places football in the latter category. He then goes on to state, "For football to be permissible, due to it being linked with the latter group of physical activities, there are many pre-requital conditions, which need to be studied. Firstly, there are three conditions: 1. There should be no physical or financial loss. 2. The person who takes part in such activities, himself, should not be encountering any loss, nor those who are participating with him. 3. The aspect of futile entertainment should not be dominant. For the former two conditions he puts forward two ahaadith from which he puts forward his deductions. The Holy Prophet has stated: "Every play from which pleasure is gained is baseless (impermissible) apart from the practicing of bows and the training of horses or playing with his wife. Verily, these are permissible." (Tirmizi) Here
  22. ^^Will do IA, Jay, i thought you was on your way SL? I would worry about the dollar not buying you much these days
  23. Jay, i was surprised at the break aswell but most people shot off to Dubai for a long weekend rather than 'celebrate'. As far as i know nobody celebrates the prophets (pbuh) birthday. If taking a few days off is defined as celebrating then its a question for the authorities. Saxib, just because i leave here doesnt make me a shiek! Ahura, i was joking. I have another week off the week after next. On my way to my birthplace
  24. Had a 3 day week last week (Sat-Mon) due to Prophet Mohammed's (pbuh) birthday on Tuesday, did'nt get the Easter weekend though  Tomorrow last day of week
