  1. ^ Yep, that's right... Silaanyo, Faroole and the other stake holders have all been granted OBSERVER STATUS for the London conference--they will be OBSERVING Culosow chair the damn thang
  2. Lol...it was always expected for Silaanyo to attend the Somalia conference in London. Am sure a great majority of Somalilanders are behind this move.
  3. ^ Well it depends, does your reer have a Suldaan? Or some other title for their chieftain? I ask this because if your reer uses Garaad, then you use Garaad as your new title and so on and so forth.
  4. Sonnet 109: O! never say that I was false of heart by William Shakespeare O never say that I was false of heart, Though absence seemed my flame to qualify. As easy might I from myself depart, As from my soul, which in thy breast doth lie. That is my home of love; if I have ranged Like him that travels I return again, Just to the time, not with the time exchanged, So that myself bring water for my stain. Never believe, though in my nature reigned All frailties that besiege all kinds of blood, That it could so preposterously be stained To leave for nothing all thy sum of good— For nothing this wide universe I call, Save thou, my rose; in it thou art my all.
  5. The Tyger by William Blake Tyger Tyger, burning bright, In the forests of the night; What immortal hand or eye, Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies. Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare sieze the fire? And what shoulder, & what art, Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand? & what dread feet? What the hammer? what the chain, In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp, Dare its deadly terrors clasp! When the stars threw down their spears And water'd heaven with their tears: Did he smile his work to see? Did he who made the Lamb make thee? Tyger Tyger burning bright, In the forests of the night: What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
  6. Waking by Stephen Dobyns Waking, I look at you sleeping beside me. It is early and the baby in her crib has begun her conversation with the gods that direct her, cooing and making small hoots. Watching you, I see how your face bears the signs of our time together—for each objective description, there is the romantic; for each scientific fact, there's the subjective truth— this line was caused by days at a microscope, this from when you thought I no longer loved you. Last night a friend called to say that he intends to move out; so simple, he and his wife splitting like a cell into two separate creatures. What would happen if we divided ourselves? As two colors blend on a white pad, so we have become a third color; or better, as a wire bites into the tree it surrounds, so we have grown together. Can you believe how frightening I find this, to know I have no life except with you? It's almost enough to make me destroy it just to protest it. Always we seemed perched on the brink of chaos. But today there's just sunlight and the baby's chatter, her wonder at the way light dances on the wall. How lucky to be ignorant, to greet joy without a trace of suspicion, to take that first step without worrying what comes trailing after, as night trails after day, or winter summer, or confusion where all seemed clear and each moment was its own reward.
  7. O mistress mine, where are you roaming? by William Shakespeare O mistress mine, where are you roaming? O stay and hear, your true love's coming, That can sing both high and low. Trip no further, pretty sweeting: Journeys end in lovers meeting, Every wise man's son doth know. What is love? 'tis not hereafter, Present mirth hath present laughter: What's to come is still unsure. In delay there lies no plenty, Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty: Youth's a stuff will not endure.
  8. The Facebook Sonnet by Sherman Alexie Welcome to the endless high-school Reunion. Welcome to past friends And lovers, however kind or cruel. Let's undervalue and unmend The present. Why can't we pretend Every stage of life is the same? Let's exhume, resume and extend Childhood. Let's all play the games That preoccupy the young. Let fame And shame intertwine. Let one's search For God become public domain. Let church.com become our church. Let's sign up, sign in and confess Here at the altar of loneliness.

Tallaabo;937434 wrote: ^ Dr Osman we know you are intelligent man and your elites like Abdul Wali Gaas are untouchable, but we do believe that the census is wrong and our minister rightly protested because the following groups were not counted: 1. Those nomads who have crossed the Ethiopia border in search of green grass. 2. Those Landers who were out to demonstrate in support of our negotiating team in Istanbul. 3. Those Landers who have gone to Mogadisho to get some cash from Qoslaaye. 4 And last but not least you guys counted the Oromos in Puntland but our Xaaji Xunjuf deported those in Somaliland. Tallaabo;937434 wrote: Lets not forget those Lander filling the the country's marfashyo, makhaayado, Hargeisa's infamous dhuuso nuug, sultan Alpha's harems, and Alshabaab's training camps. Walahi, you cracked me up! :D:D
  10. What else is new besides the obvious laangaabnimo of those habro in the north...:D
  11. Hargaysa, Bossaaso, Galkacyo, Xamar.....Let the competition begin! Goooo Kismayo!
  12. ^ That $1 would be better spent if it were sent back home to Somalia as charity instead of wasting it on this man's nonsense which you call dreams.
  13. ^ Lol... So you're saying Libaaxsankataabte has been accused of touching more than a lion's face?
  14. The last time I checked, only nerds and virgin male teens read comic books in the west, and we Somalis don't have either one. So I say don't quit your day job just yet!
  15. I don't know about you lot but over the years I have secured myself 10 accounts, 3 banned 7 to go not including my current one. Hey what can I say, this place is very amenable to cyber reincarnations...
  16. I believe Saacid will become a great pm once he stops toadying to Culosow and begins to challenge the corupt HAG policies coming out of Villa Somalia. Reconciliation of the Somali people should be the number one priority of this government but Culosow has a different agenda in mind, and as long as Saacid continues to follow along he will never amount to anything.
  17. Djibouti didn't give nothing. These vehicles have been provided by Qatar. Keep 'em coming.
  18. After all the brouhaha and cantrabaqash from Jubaland detractors, maanta waxay la soo shir tageen "why are things moving so fast"? Lol:D
  19. Gabal, enough with this adduunyo godoon shenanigans every time you feel you're getting a bad bargain here. The negotiations are still on going, and when all is said and done, I'm very confident the Gedo community will receive what is rightfully theirs. This happens to be the biggest reason why the conference is taking its time-- and that is to ensure power in the new administration will be shared equitably.
  20. The Zack;933573 wrote: The parliament session ended in chaos today, I have been told. HAG members told Gedo parliament members yoy can't fly to Kismayu. Zack, what do you mean Hag told them not to leave? Meesha nimanka ma xoog baa lagu heystaa?
  21. ^I believe we are on the same page. Xamar maanta qof kuugumo heesto, so enjoy it and keep all others second class citizens like you believe Puntlanders do in their neck of the woods-- waa hadii ey kugu filantahay!
