  1. Solers, lately I feel lethargic. I don’t know what it but I’m in a funk. I tried exercise and eating healthy. I tried sleeping and resting. NOTHING! I’m tired from or rather unmotivated from the minute I wake up to the minute I go to bed. What gives? Since SOLERS are my own private therapists, doctors and psychiatrists all in one, I refuse to pay for any medical advice. So hit me! What do you do when you are in a funk? Any particular remedies or activities you take? Any supplements?
  2. Welcome! Have I welcomed you before or was it someonelse? Too many newbies on SOL! Already, the next generation is here. Tolow Ngonge muxuu samayn doonaa?
  3. I agree that good looking people get the best of everything.
  4. Best thing I ever bought was a round trip ticket to few special places in the world. Best money I ever spent.
  5. Atarisho, welcome. This is a girl's club; we got it on lock so don't let the boys persuade you to be on their side. And yeah, stay out of NG's way and you will do fine.

Control kulahaa!!!! by the way, don't you see that, a girl is related to a man. And the two are mutually dependant??? Intee loo kala wadaa Do you read English? How am I telling girls what to do when I clearly said girls are free to choose whatever? Being "related to a man" doesnt give him the right to criticise or control what she chooses to eat, wear, do, study or who to interact. Yes, it's truly pathetic to busy yourself with how other people dress or conduct themselves.
  7. Ugghh.. the utter misogny in this thread, I tell you it stinks! So pretentious with the "girls should" and "girls shouldnt." *** off! Guess what? iIt is none of your bussiness! They can wear whatever they please: skinny jeans, bikini or Jalbaab! We can stay home or room with a drunkard. It is called freedom of choice. And no, the West didnt give it, Allah did. Thats why there is a hereafter to account for your actions. Ma fahan taheen. All this nac nac is a classic sexism discussed under "diin." Everywhere I go men ,wether Muslims or not, want to "discuss" what women should or shouldnt do with themselves. I tell you, some men would locks all up in the house and have us breed like rabbits until the day we die. Oh snaps! They've already done it to us. They called themselves..what-was-that-name-..AL Shabaabs! To you whiners: Lower your gazes, keep your mouths-shut, and keep moving. At the end of the day, you control NO ONE but yourselves. Unlike you we have the decency to not dwell on the shortcomings of our brothers.
  8. Malika, even though it was Ramadan, I suspect I would have had a fab time with the SOLERS. Well, I loved London better than I thought I would. My best friend moved there so there is always next time. I'm thinking about this December but we'll see. Juxa-you have no idea how excited I was to demand a royal treatment from you, Ibti, Val and Co. I only stayed there for a week though before I went to Kenya. Next time, definetly. NG, I wouldnt feel too safe if I were you. I might just show up.
  9. I was in Eastleigh last week and I absolutely hated every second of it! I hated the weather, gray, chilly and gloomy. I hated the dhiiqo and the mountains of trash on the streets, in front of bussinesses. If the tenants can't afford their own sweepers, why can't the flourishing bussinesses in the area clean the trash? And whats up with the Kenyan children dressed in HIJABS, begging in every corner ALL day long?? I must say I loved seeing Somalis doing bussiness wether it is a hotel, Hawaalad or selling samuusa on the street. My heart broke for the Somali children; not a day over 10 years old but working for their families, selling what they can to feed their familly. Now, if I only had the power to ship every Khad chewing, welfare-dependent, deadbeat dad losers to Nairobi in exchange for those working children, I'd be a happy woman. MM, seems you are having a good time. Enjoy!
  10. Malika cadeey, I retired from the forum. But, luckily, I decided to come out of retirement. I was in London a couple of weeks ago; For some reason, the forum refused to let me log in. I was going to demand martiqaad on a short notice from the London bunch. But...
  11. SOLUTION: So that our men can rest(party like a rock star without Haliimoz present at the said parties), feel proud( can face other men proudly because their women are the life of the party while "ours" are locked in their homes), and feel like men(like Ina Jaad), Somali women need to be educated in their homes. Better yet, after high school they should all become Niqabis and raise babies like pig farms. We all know that a woman in "tight" jeans in a lost cause. What about the boys? Pftt! Whats a little drinking, sagging, cocaine, and sex? Men are men! Yacni, ceebi ma qabato.
  12. Isn't this breaking the forum rules? Where is the admin? Not only is this blatant tribalism but there are children involved for god's sake. War lax kasta computer ay iska baratay si loo isticmaalo! This is truly cringe-worthy. Uff!

  14. I tried both the treadmill and the pavement, all the same.
  15. I stopped wearing skirts this year but I like black and fitted ones. I'm rocking the knee length dresses with tights or skinny jeans this year and I'm loving it!

Marriage frictions & instability starts when close families ay is guursadaan, I will say, marry even outside the human race, explore our close allies, the inter-galactic extraterrestrial beings. :D:D I second that! Guur sokeeye is a keyword for marry your own tribe, if possible perhaps your own first blood cousin? Hadaad is dishaan, then keep the abuse and the problems in the family. Good thinking.
  17. I love MN, specifically MPLS for the "MN nice" attitude, the Lakes, the Malls, the opportunities, the positive attitude towards immigrants, the small-city-feel of it. I love the fact that I can walk into any bussiness/company/school/goverment building/mall and there is a Somali professional working there. When I go to other states such as Ohio/Seatle/Virginia/ATL, etc. I feel like as Somalis we are far advanced in our thinking, dressing and hospitality than other Somalis. Everytime I go out of this state, I come back running. Everytime I come back to Lindbergh or Humphrey terminals, I tip everyone like crazy.
  18. I second that! I love group exercises. They make my time worthwhile since it is like having a personal trainer. They push you harder and they often change excercises as soon as your body starts to adapt to it. I love jogging and I hate running because it is so hard on my body.
  19. Waxeey aaminsan yihiin, the girl will work and support the family when they come here. And in the meantime, the family waa la sii biilayaa. I have yet to meet a family that has walaalo or a parent who support them from the West marry off their daughter to an old maro without her consent. I have heard of young girls marrying on their own. It is mostly those families with no income who live in Nairobi or refugee camps, looking for a way out.
  20. Iska dhaaf, let them be "cadeey beautiful" until reality kicks in nooh.
