  1. How far back is the past? Last year? Last month? I believe in second chances but only after a sufficient time passes. Love trumps reason and caution.
  2. I wonder if the men reported the rape or not? How did the story break out?
  3. Fortunetly, my Somali failed me halway through this piece of trash. I only read "habeenka arooska" paragraph but seriously hala xishoodo.
  4. Waxaan ku dhihi rabay, what are you so afraid of?

Haweeney hakaa sareeyso dhibkeedey leedahay : D Seriously though, I have seen women reporting to women and the reportees were being bossed around for sure. Not sure why they do that. Adiga yes ma'am-ta ugu dadaal qoftan kaa sareeyso anigu my plan is to add lots of emoticons and smiley faces to the emails I send to my new "boss" . If I were you I would ease off the emoticons as that could potentially be construed as flirtatious which is a no-no when dealing women in the workplace. Mideeda kale, never mind. Good luck.
  6. Morning folks. It is nice and sunny in Minnesota! Perfect weather for walking, hiking, pickicking..... lol!
  7. Since it is getting cooler, I think it is about time we revived this thread. Whatever happen to our budding body builders? Since I got back from Africa, I have been sick and tired and lazy so I havent set foot into a gym. I go back today! So what have you been doing maryooley?
  8. LOL@" I am not sexist." Forget gender, just do your work. But I will give you one warning: you wont get to slack off! Most of my male bosses were lazy crowd pleasers who put off everything until the last minute then yelled at everyone on sight.sheeko iyo sports update ma soconayso when you start. So haye is ilaali.
  9. Morning folks! Turns out I have Maleria!! Bal maxaa loo cunaa, yacni natural remedy? My doctor has me on Malquinine. Symptoms of Maleria? Dizziness. Side effects of medication? Dizziness! Ughh...
  10. Somalia has to be on the list. Although, Somali men cruel as they might be aren't as worthless piece of[ inter your choice of words here] as Arabs and Hindus.
  11. If only you can delete people in real life.

May Allah forgive him his sins and grant him a high place in jannah. I was shocked when I heard this on Friday. I feel the same way about him. This is the man who made me fall in love with siirada nabiyada; he was so eloquent, knowledgeable and full of passion. I haven't heard him preach any hate or terrorism so I can't judge him. Whatever he was he is now reaping what he sow: good or bad.
  13. The baby is cute. Who says the baby is white? I have seen Somali babies lighter than that baby, sheesh!
  14. LOL@Malika. Bisinka! Bal cunto iyo wax ha ka cabin guriga. Juxa, yes we do. All of the above reasons and some more are used everyday by my few Somali students. Ileen gurigi buu excuseka yaalaaye. I rather deal with kids though than useless adults.

Missy I know it all comes in and start to mess about with it - waan iis hayee, wanted to go all Somali on her...xagxagashoo iyo inaan qaniinoo baa ii heysee..lol LOL@Qaniino. Strangling is a lot more acceptable than qaniinyo. The loony bin baa hore lagaaga dirayaa hadaad qof qaniinto. Yeah, it is one of those days for me where I repeat directions a million times and they ask the same questions a billion times. A smack on the head would straighten them out- if only.
  16. Note to NG: please don't get children involved in politics. They're from Somalia, which is a land in Somalia. Happy Friday!! I'm on the verge of stangling my 9th graders. Do start donating incase I need a legal help.
  17. Mahadsanid Macaanto. LOL! I wish! It is more of a title than anything. It gives me a broader marketability. NG, waan hishiinay untill my next calaacal.
  18. It is ok to question as long as you are seeking. It happens to a lot of us, doubting I mean. It seems to me that you are sort of ignorant about the reasons for the rituals and without a solid reason and belief, the rituals such as prayers and charity are meaningless. I would reccomend you to talk to your local Imam, preferably not Somali. State your concerns and conflicts with the religion and listen to what he says with an open mind. Read, research and research some more. This is the true religion, the real raw deal.
  19. NG, you tend to "stuff&nonsense" my modest acheivements. After so many standardized testing and salty tears and sleepless nights, I'm nationally certified to teach Literature and Communications Arts anywhere in the U.S.
  20. War ileen naceybku waa sickness! What would you benefit from Somaliland falling to pieces? Maxaa kaa galay? Maxaa ka faaideeysaa? Ma u quuri(spell?) la'dahay for them to live in peace, even if it isnt a complete peace. I would rather have the tiniest piece of a Somali soil be at peace than all of us to go up in smoke. I maynot agree with their seccession but as long as ay dad somali ah nabad ku seexinayaan, all is well.
  21. Morning folks. I love it when hardwork pays off! I'm having a wonderful day, Alxamdulliah. Not even NG, can mess it up!
