Our friend Jacaylbaro is just a little insecure these days, because it was his birthday recently, and now he's 34. So come on! Let's hear some ages. I'm 28.

The ugly: You wake up with a nasty rash down there. That's what you get for screwing around with that girl you were chewing jaad with last night......

What to do when I reach Somalia(not home for me, obviously): 1. Try not to get killed 2. Try not to get killed 3. Eat hilib geel(oh yeah!! I've heard that the hump is kinda crunchy) 4. Try not to get killed

^Rudy, I thinks you gotta get out of that smog-infested hole called L.A. Come to Calgary!! You'll be like that guy on Flight 13 who was complaining about all the snow in Minnesota and then the dog starts chasing him around!!

Am a brown skin chick, (somali color)and i want to make my self lighter. Does anyone know the stuff to use. I really wanna have a lighter complexion like Beyonce iyo, "Halimo-face-off". I was told there is stuff to mix. what works, what doesnt , i dont want my face to be messed up, i just want to be lighter. There's nothing special about having lighter skin than someone else. You should be happy the way that Allah SWT made you. Besides, there are drawbacks to having lighter skin, such as blemishes and moles and stuff that are more easily seen, and especially there are drawbacks to using that lightening cream which has bleach in it. Just stay the way you are, that's what makes you YOU. Besides, there are people out there like me who aren't interested in a woman just because of her skin colour, there's more to a woman than that.

Okay CC, I'll marry you. Problem is, I have 2 kids and I'm not Somali.

Is that all you ever do is complain, Ifraax? You gotta look on the bright side. Your hard work in school will pay off insha Allah when you have a good job, and for now at least, you don't have to worry about supporting children, such as yours truly, so you should always think that life could be worse, because there are better people out there with worse situations. P.S. I've seen both Serenity and JLee, and they're both absolutely kuleel, so need to fight, ladies.

The white guy is me. I flew all the way to Kenya to be part of the ceremony. My Somali passport is #004.

I'd love to invest in property, but I can't even afford my own house and I don't really have a choice other than to take riba, so for now I guess I'm happy being a renter.

Red Sea.....For some reason, you look Ethiopian to me. Actually, you look like this guy I used to work with. He was a religious nut, he even took his Amxaari bible to the sh*tter with him!!! Anyways, if anyone wants my picture, they're gonna have to dig up one of my old threads......

LOL I never thought it was possible to speak faster than in Somali. Apparently I was wrong. After that host said bismillah, he just never stopped, like he's an auctioneer or something!!!! I heard him say "barnaamij", though.....

It's looking like it's gonna turn out to be a battle of offense(Colts) vs. defense(Bears), and you know what they say, the best offense is a good defense. I'd like to see the Colts take it, but I think Chicago's gonna get it.

LOL All the oldtimers come back just to let us know they're still alive. If anyone remembers my old nick waryaa_liibaanow, yup, that's me.

It's really sad to see children that keep getting sent back to abusive parents when the signs are right in front of them, while children are taken away from loving parents over some small thing that may just be an accident or a mistake. These social workers need much more training and education than what is required, because they have childrens' lives in their hands.

Originally posted by XulaXu: Uhh.... what are the statistics on the number of live burnings and public stonings of women in Canada? Actually, i went to a public stoning yesterday in the park. Round here, we call them "whorefests". But seriously, this is a small town in Quebec, and they really don't come more racist than the French, especially small-town French. They basically think that all immigrants are savages and barbarians. I'm surprised that they even let immigrants in their town in the first place, even if it is just one family.

Flames vs. Minnesota Wild again tonight. The game's on PPV, so I can't watch it but I'm listening on the radio and it sounds like Minny's getting all the chances, but our goalie Kipper has stopped 'em all! Go Flames Go!!

Originally posted by Northerner: What I see,,,,,,,, As I type this, my office is getting a spring clean by an under-paid and over-worked employee of a cleaning company. He does a 12 hours shift each day. He doesn’t get the chance to simply chill as he is working seven days a week. He doesn’t get to see his family for 2 years at a time and his employer illegally holds his passport. These companies are Indian and Indians are the masters of exploiting the weaker. It’s just the way it is. But he is lucky. He is not dangling off a high rise building in sweltering heat with minimum safety standards and a non-existent health and safety law. He is not being told to climb a scaffolding wearing his flip-flops as the safety boots are for engineers only. He is not malnourished nor does he have any physiological problems. I see exploitation, I see globalisation, and I see racism all in the name of creating an emerald in the desert. That’s my rant for this week What do you see? Well, the guy is obviously desperate enough to be where he is, or else he would just go back to where he came from. We're not all lucky enough to be born in UK or US or whatever, and this is the lengths people go to come to the so-called "promised land". That's life.
