Since when did political opportunists became genuine unionists? this guy (Mustafe Qodax) was part of Somaliland political parties just a year or 2 ago.      Any sane Somali person knows giving 19% of Berbera port to Ethiopia for free is wrong.

Yes those northern folks in Mogadishu are having a rough time there. They have to face all the security challenges like all all the other politicians, plus the threat of prison if they go back to Somaliland, plus the allegations of treason from their folks in Somaliland, plus the suspicion of the Koonfurians, plus the lack of legitimacy of their jobs, plus the demand from the Koonfurians to prove their "Soomaalinimo" every morning when they wake up and every night before they go to bed, plus they have to listen to the people of Mogadishu telling them (and rightly so) that they are getting too fat thanks to the tax money from Banaadir.

The other day, you were talking about that Somaliland does not have a representation in the Somali government. This will prove you wrong. Somali are not divided by regions politically, they are often divided into tribes. Those politicians who identified as Somalilanders themselves are active in Moqdisho like anybody else and they advocate their region which is right. They play a big role who is to be elected as president. Biixi or anybody who is in charge Hargeysa has good communication with them. Unlike those people in Hargeysa from Sool, Sanaag and Awdal who just hired to look Somaliland as multi tribes entities. They are so useless that they do have any influence what is happening in Hargeysa.
