So a Libyan cannot be Islamophobic? What if he got paid or not even a Muslim? lol. Just kidding. But the connotations stretch to disapproval of the future, he is not best pleased by the power shift, Maybe he is mad at the effectes of a globalised world, them damn people who brought with them mini-skirts, and just one dominate wife, (mind you she is much better looking and takes care of herself, not to mention younger) perhaps it is about culture clashes. hhmm.. I think I better stop :D

And your point is JB?!

JB is not looking at a shining future. He's gotta put up with smoking min-skirt not to mention the chores on his to-do list.

Does that make a difference?
Of course. If the artist were Brazilian or Irish, then the topmost panel would be odd since Brazilians and Irishmen have their own homegrown misogyny which the artist could've drawn inspiration from, as it were. Since the artist is Libyan, the panel shows a popular image of local culture and thus it's not an attempt to define sexism as Islamic.

A good thing, surely? Nobody needs to stay in a marriage they don't want any more.
