Salaan... Wiilka, err Wiilo, haye soo noqosho wacan. Mac macaankii ( ) makuu dhamaaday? Todobaadkii ma laga soo neefsaday? It's wonderful life to be in walaahi. Ka baxa single life-ka. Laakiin manoo sheegi kartaa guurnimo maxee 'wonderful life' ku tahay, ka ahayn "mac macaanka" aan soo sheegay, waana mid saas u loogu bogi doonin, oo xiisihiisaba waa maalmo. Haduu guur balaayadaas 'wonderful life' ahaan lahaa, singal maadar iyo heblaayo/hebel ayaa la furay ma maqli lahayn. Heestaan Hobollada Sheego soo saartay ma maqashay, oo inta ee heesta bilaaban laba Caasho aa sheekeysanaayo, hadalkaan aa dhexmaray: Muxubo: Haye, Maano. Maano: Haa, Muxubo. Muxubo: War aan ku siiyo. Maano: Maxaa heysaana? Muxubo: Macalinka maanta maradiis banaanka u dhigay, moosna waa ku taraaraxay maka heshay maahinoo? Maano: Macbuudkoo!! Muxubo: Walaahiiii!!

I was reading the Toronto Star as usual the other day when, on their opinion page, I came across this piece. The very first and second paragraphs had these sentences: A friend of mine spent six months as a student teacher last year at a Toronto inner-city school. The student population in the school, from Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 8, is predominantly black. One of the first pieces of advice her host teacher shared with my friend was not to waste too much time on the Jamaican kids because they'd never amount to anything and most would likely end up in jail anyways. As for the Somali students, she was told, it was likely "inbreeding" that accounted for their "total lack of intelligence." This immediately revolted and dismayed me unexpectedly. I never in my entire life heard that Soomaalis inbred that much or that we "lacked intelligence." I immediately scrolled down to see if the author, who was Jamaican, had an email and try to inquire further, even though she didn't exactly harboured those thoughts since she was only trying to quote a friend who was a supply teacher in a new school when another teacher confided her to those racist thoughts. The rest of article doesn't regard Soomaalis specifically, for it advocates black-only schools in Ontario.

Of course, back in the day at Curuba and swinging with Shimaali's songs, I don't consider those to be "clubbing," mind you. Those were my neighbourly boundaries as far as I could go, adigana club aan aadi jiray ayaaba i leedahay.

Salaan... Shyness (xishoodnimo) is one of the most underrated human traits. It is a personal virtue most people overlook. Being and having a moderate shyness in your character is a gift, and one should be thankful for that.

Salaan... The ridiculousness and ludicrousness of this world is getting more and more absurd and alarming. O slo's trendy Grünerløkka district has just opened the first oxygen bar in Norway, where patrons can relax and buy a session of exceptionally fresh air Pust (Breath) Oksygenbar" is the region's first, and serves up 92% pure oxygen, with or without added aromas. "People are just too stressed and they don't even take the time to breathe," said Pust co-founder Aleksander Herresthal. "Here they get the opportunity to relax and do nothing but breathe. The effect of 20 minutes of oxygen on people varies, but most feel refreshed and more energetic," Herrestal said Sii aqriso

Puntland rebukes PM Gedi's statement on Puntland Affairs
Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar replied to Sky's topic in Politics
Dawlad goboleedka Puntland waxay caalamka u caddayneysaa in aysan cidna marti ugu ahayn horumarinta dadkeeda iyo dalkeeda. Buntilaan maanta dal mee noqotay? Mise micnaha "dal" ayaa u gooye qofkii qoray war saxaafadeedkaas. Horumarinta dadkeeda qof diidan ayaa iska yar, laakiin horumarinta "dalkeeda" waa mid Soomaali dhan u taalo. Hadee Soomaaliya ka go'deyna that is another story and should absolutely care about their "dal," whatever and wherever it is. -
Salaan... I can't believe reer Mirc DALnet are here. I was introduced to IRC by Qoslaaye in May, '98. In these years, between '96-'99, reer Scandinavia dominated in that room, #somalia, especially reer Iswiidhan. Then reer Bakistaan/Hindiya ayaa qabsaday oo meeshii dhan balaayo ka dhigay. Whatever happened to: Dalka Talisman Qoslaaye Wiilka Haxpert Ilbuun Outkow Kaal Waardiye Gacalo I'm happy to report Mr. Barreh is alive and well. He is with Sun Microsystems Inc. and back in Austin, TX. Tell him he is arguably a pioneer of his own, not only from being the first Soomaali on the net, but possibly the first Horn African on the net too. And thus rightly deserves a shahaado sharaf, virtually.

Salaan... Lazie, I am not against him. In fact, I do listen to his album wherever I can. And as you said, he has had given a new spirit to old, long dead songs. However, I can't forgive that particular song of Gabaryahee gartaa...keenee, keenee gardaran being butchered. I mean, this song, I can't help it, it stuck in my mind and the original (which was a longer version) is so smooth that this guy butchered it so finely. Even the singer who sung it originally was complaining about him not paying a due coutesy a couple months ago from Xamar. Anyway, I agree he has a considerable voice if only uu heeso cusub soo saaran lahaa, that would have been another story.

Salaan... I see I am not alone surprising to find that fella existed. Speaking of the 'Net and my novice days in back mid '97, every time I remember I can't help but laugh. I was new to high school and I self-taught the Internet with my very few and far limited English, let alone computer terminologies. I kept our librarian at school mad because I used to print countless papers oblivious to me (I didn't know what "print" meant then and I being a real maryooleey learned on mistakes and kept going). Also there was a site called somali.com, a mainly chat-based site with a little discussion group. It existed until in mid '98 when the fellas at the upcoming somalinet hacked, shut down and stole its chatroom code. There was a mass departure to somalinet within a week. That was how somalinet was born, a questionable deed indeed.

Salaan... Quite the opposite if the Sheikh is one endowed with islamic knowledge Xoogweyne do you think "maxkamadaha Islaamiga" are true "Islamic" courts? They are anything but...Even their leader was one-time dagaal ooge, Korneel Daahir Aweys (calling himself sheekh nowadays). By the way magacaa markaan arko waxaan soo xasuustaaa my friend. They call him Xoogsade because shaqo maka haro, unless supervisor-yaasha ka naxaan dhahaan take this weekend off oo maba haro and we call him Gadgadoome for another reason maxaa yeelay wuu gam gamaa, sidii cagaf cagaf camal. -
This so-called Khaalid singer is stealing others arts. In that first album of his, three of his core and popular songs are straight rip-off, including Keenee, keene gardaran (which was a popular song in '80s) and Nagma The latter is originally sung by a Jabuuti fella, with its all original smooth voice copycatted.

Waayo waayo ayaaba kusoo xasuustay, rageedi. The days of masaaraca in late '80s, Hok Hoogan (spelling and pronouncing in Soomaali-style) ruled.

Salaan... Do you remember where you were in that year? A lot of us were running from somewhere to nowhere, I know, I know. If I think I recall correctly in that trying year, the new year was of 1991 was born in xaafada Madiina, moving from where the fierce fighting was on in our home located at xaafada Hodan. Then it was to Baydhabo, Waajid, back to Xamar and, because of another useless fight (the fight the article below discusses), to Dayniile for few weeks. But what I couldn't believe is a real Jaamac at the same time was foruming on the NET in these enduring times! Yes, in 1991, a Soomaali man was on the Internet (or what was then largely a usenet discussion groups), giving his nomadic two cents where the mother of all forums/discussion boards was born--newsgroups. I believe Jaamac Barre must be the first Soomaali person to use the net, a decade before even this very site was founded in 2001. I haven't even heard the Internet 'til 1997!

That is what I'm talking about. There are a lot of issues that needs more priorities than this lame publicity, even if they are trying their best. Only the other week, unarmed family's kids were massacred in their own home by men who belonged the same branch as those surwaalgaab above. (I mean they were wadaado, 100 percent, but killing others for no tangible reason.) And of course, their superiors did nothing. Horta first and foremost my beef stems from a clanized "Islamic" court. Then they mostly prey and bully only the weak, non-armed kids and others, while it is their "ilmo adeero" who isbaarada laga qaadi la yahay, and what are they doing? Nothing. Oh, yeah, waxee diidayaan in uu dagaal dhaco. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm buying. ________________ PS, awguuriyo on your aroos. Xamar ma aadee, mise xaajiyada via Addis Ababa ayaa laga soo wadaa?
