Someone dropped the ball in the euphoria that was post mubarak period. cala kuli xaal, its not undemocratic to advocate true democracy, one that is done within the parameters of democratic principles. Can a majority elect a fascist like Stalin? is it democratic, sadly no. umm.. no. The muslim Brotherhood was never banned because they were religious group but rather they were deemed threat by their political opponents. Mubarak certainly couldnt held onto power that long if he legitimized the Brotherhood. Also there is nothing wrong if a political party derive some of their policies from religion unless of course you have something against political islam in particular. The Brotherhood are not violent group, they and their sister organizations throughout the muslim world are known to promote social justice, empowerment of people through education and commerce.

  3. Farah dude is out of shape but never the less it was entertaining to watch. He might have some potential if he moulds himself into a proper shape of an athlete.

It might not be an african problem now but in the long run it will be and you will see countries being labeled undemocratic as result of not having an adequate gay rights!. What you didnt realize or perhaps ignored is that much of the laws that govern the world today are dictated from places like Washington. God forbid it happens but if a Gay dude is elected into the oval office, you are pretty sure about what sort of policies he will pursue.
  5. damn it, where is the Ecuadorian embassy in Africa when you need one? What a loser and his old pal Sharif, is probably laughing his **** off in Kampla.

Not a red cent will be given to those who attempt to undermine the government. Not a penny will go towards their development when they are causing problems for the central government. I applaud this government for focusing only the areas that matters. House of HAG for life. So typical of HAG mentality and the astonishing simplemindedness that accompanies of not being able to conform to a previously agreed terms. First you should read the constitution up close, there is no such a thing called a central government in somalia and it is not even stated in the adulterated version of the constitution. Secondly the current system of government in somalia is a federal system as accepted internationally and also locally by much of the regions. That being said, the federal system mandates that the government should distribute all aid and developments accordingly. Every region should receive their fair share and this is what Culusow is unable to comperhend or perhaps refuses to do so intently. This is not only limited to aid and development and there are also range of other issues that Culusow is refusing to work with all other respective entities. So far No region have refused to work with the government in fact it is the federal government that is refusing to abide the constitution and respect all the signed accords by it's predecsor admins.

It is very obvious why they dont want to develop beyond Galkacyo and towards Garowe. Once again the so called government is manifesting it's clan based agendas openly.

  11. The federal states played integeral roles resurrecting the current federal government from ashes. Abdullah Yey(AUN) used the state of puntland as of his starting point before establishing the TFG. The two decades of the civil war Somali IDPs were using some of federal states as a save heaven to escape from rape, looting, torture and injustice. Not to mention Somalis who hail from some of the federal states were saved from the chaos that engulfed much of the country. It is just silly or probably due to of short sightness for someone to nullify the achievements of the Somali federal states.
  12. ^^So you are saying it is a highly articulated news piece with lots of complexity?
  13. Including the title the whole news piece is made of six sentences lol Dabrow might as well be the author himself. Pathetic
  14. How pathetic can it get? Collecting caydh during the day and causing trouble at night! Their presence is for sure causing grieves and costing a lot for the Dutch.
  15. Hypothetically speaking even if some of the illegal drugs are legalized, society is still bound to put on some controls and restrictions in place because not everyone is going to conform to a proper ethical use. As of now there are a lot of potent drugs that are legally available in pharmacies which can also induce similar effects as of cocaine but most of them are prescription medications and people still abuse them. The idea of, if all drugs are legalized everything will be fine and dandy and countries will not spend much of their resources on policing is just far fetched and more of an utopian. Pro legalizing folks most of the times present their case from personal perspective and interwind their case with personal freedoms. There is a common saying among some of the pro legalizing folks "It is my body i should be able to do to it whatever i want". That is only ok if everyone's problems are only confined to them selves and do not affect society in large but often that is not case and when people get screwed up in the head because of a drug use they end up becoming burden on the state and on their families.
  16. I dont know the reason but some people still refer him Sheik when his true character is well known which is far from being a Sheik. You wonder if somalis refer to people with titles without giving much thought to it. The word Sheik is almost becoming synonymous with the word Moorryaan provided that people continue calling Indha Cade and Cali Dheere Sheiks.

I agree with you, the copy cat factor is a major thing and it is the media to blame for publicising and dramatizing when silly kids shoot random innocent folks. I also think the rise of the violent video games is another contributing factor. Some of these games are so realistic and they match simulations army cadets train with.
