The interim Chairperson congratulated the Somali people for the selection of new parliament and the end of the transitional government. H also said that the candidates for the position of Speaker should submit their candidacies before August 25, to a parliamentary election committee he will appoint soon. The parliamentary committee will work every day from 9 am to 3 pm. Gen Muse Sh. Hassan Abdulle, interim chairperson of the new Somali parliament detailed the process for the election of new Speaker and said that all candidates will participate in the first round of voting, while the four candidates who get the highest votes will participate in the second round, followed by final round in which the two candidates of highest votes will participate. The winner of the last two candidates will be the new Speaker.
