  1. Tallaabo, You wouldn't have extensive intermarriages with other Somali tribes as you share no borders. It is only logical and inevitable for one to marry their neighbors. And I thought Faysal said a boy in Addis, not Jig.
  2. What come of the Turkish military base?
  3. With the extension of the runaway and new terminal with a cargo area, I get the feeling Bosaso airport will be double as military base. p.s I am hoping CCECC is one to finish the job? They did such a wonderful job with least resource and no corruption.
  4. This project has been more hush, hush. Is it true the money for Bosaso Airport phase II project been secured?
  5. It is clear that the war in the South cannot be won because some people don't benefit from its ending.
  6. Tallaabo, I know where the rivers start, but nothing gets done in Ethiopia with the blessing of the TPLF. Also, I am skeptical about reer Somali galbeed benefiting from this as Ethiopia "rents" greener pastures to corporations and wealthier nations. Nations that share rivers and seas cannot arbitrarily draw borders or dammed waters. Things must be done within a legal framework that benefits both nations, of course I understand Somalia is not position to negotiate or take any actions.
  7. Somali women have hold this country together, it is only fitting they kicked AS' azz.

  9. No one is recolonizing Somalia. Somalis chose to surrender their sovereignty.
  10. One good thing, if there's any, it showed the inner workings of Al-Shabab. They are vulnerable and I suspect, have always been. This episode also showed unity between the public and security apparatus is the key.
  11. This begs the question how could 300-500 well armed people were able to sail from there without being noticed?
  12. A former pirate hub, but who controls it now?
  13. While security of Pland seems to be in good hands, in the bigger picture, there are simply no winners.

Forget the war for second, check the beach. http://puntlandi.com/daawo-sawirada-puntlandi-oo-noqotay-warbaahintii-ugu-horaysay-oo-booqatay-deegaanka-suuj/
  15. Tallaabo, I don't think there is an agreement. I, personally, don't think the road will reach all way to Ceerigaabo, but it definitely cover most of W community territory. I don't see Sland antagonizing W community by opposing this project, something that's badly needed. But you never know.
  16. @cadnaan1 said: and this is how the puntland media are reporting caawinaada dowlada dhexe bunch of ungrateful people. http://puntlandi.com/imaaraatka-carabta-oo-laba-diyaaradood-oo-saanad-milatari-ah-soo-gaarsiiyay-puntland-iyo-federaalka-oo-isku-sawiray/ http://puntlandone.com/2016/03/18/daawo-dowladda-imaaraatka-carabta-oo-dowladda-federaalka-puntland-u-soo-marisay-saanad-ciidan/ Ungrateful? You remind me a bunch of Somali fathers that I met long ago. The men were congratulating each other for babysitting/taking care of their own children, an obligation bestowed upon by virtue of being fathers. The Federal Government, at least in theory, is a government for all Somali regions. It is their job, nay, their obligation to help whether Planders are grateful or not. Now if you are saying the Federal Government is a regional government, then, of course that's different story.
  17. Tallaabo, The money came from Pland Government, business community, tax on utility and communication companies, tax on school fees and diaspora. Traditional and religious leaders have also taken on upon themselves to collect money. The collection will be ongoing. The first phase of the project would be from Ceeldaahir to Baran. http://allsbc.com/daawo-barnaamij-gaar-ah-wadada-ceel-daahir-iyo-cerigaabo/ I think the project will start in April. We, Somalis, need to stop being beggars, dhib waaye hadee gacanta kaa horeeso markasta. Baryo badan waa la isku nacaa. There's a project to build coastal road from Xamar to Hobyo. It's my hope Puntland and Somaliland will build on that road, just imagine from Xamar to Zaylac. We might be politically divided, but at least we can hope for people to people movement and commerce can increase.
  18. Good progress, Ceeldaahir and Ceerigaabo is road about to start. These roads will benefit Sanaag and the larger region immensely.
