Really? How do you know?

Xaaji, You have your interest and Galbeedi has. Galbeedi, If anything, I hope Somalis become pragmatic. We don't have to like each other but it has been clear and is becoming more clear everyday political unity is necessary in order to weather the winds of change in the Horn. More importantly, political unity is vital if we want to get the proverbial cad in the Ethiopia empire. For political unity to be possible, a genuine reconciliation and inclusive politics are necessarily. And lastly a system of government that will protect the individual.

Faisal Rooble on Abiye's plans to nullify Article 39...

Oodweyne, The Somali Region is a litmus test for all groups, in the case of Abiy, it is to see how much he can flex his muscles and for the older order, they want to see how much they can slow him down before they play their ultimate hand. But there's an immediate problem for Abiy in Oromia which has really become a completely autonomous region under the rule of Lemma Margese. It must be noted it was Lemma that paved the way for Abiy. Lemma controls the Oromo Liye forces, police and now Querro. The Jawar character has no real base. However, Lemma does and Lemma is an Oromo nationalist who turned a blind to the massacres of Somalis, Amhara and Tigrays. I also want to note the foreign minister and Lemma facilitated the OLF meeting in Asmara. Despite the peace agreement, OLF still insists on self-determination. Ethiopia can't dismantled easily but there are enough groups within existing political structure that have no problem with balkanized Ethiopia. Galbeedi, The article 39 was designed for Tigray though he might have been sold to the Somalis as compromise. -
We are not greedy, we just crave power more than others, you know how one person like chocolate more than someone else Come one now, don't kick out Habro, they need D!r vs D-Block (Irir vs D) narrative when it suits them. On serious note, Inclusivity is the keyword here, there will be no change without broad support.

The problem for Abiy is trying to accommodate too many groups that have different and often competing interests. Sooner or later, he would have to choose a side. -
Ifiye It actually would be nice if Ducale was looking out for his folks but he has a problem with Puntland, jubaland, Farmaajo, the Sayid, etc. Tallaabo, Considering Ileys victims were mostly OGs, that is quite statement.

If Ducale was killed by Oromo mob, I could still see saying as long as certain community is not in power, I am happy to die as they lynch him.

He won't do it. The Oromo are buying time and consolidating their success. -

Shidane named the chairman of the ruling party of the Somali region. If there was any confusion how Somalis will be treated, this should clear any doubts. The region will flooded with the military in order to restore "peace". ONLF declared unilateral ceasefire.

Oil company workers vacated, more non-Somalis leave Somali Galbeed.

Liyu Police forces have camps near the border while the 'ruling' party from the Somali region are on their way to Addis.

They have been toying with us. You are economically and militarily weak doesn't mean you have to put up with sh!t. Just who advises Farmaajo and Kheyr, bunch of amateurs.

I am okay with Oromo as long as they contribute to the balkanization of Ethiopia:-) Galbeedi, Let's not be ruled by fear.

More Somalis killed today but Abiy 'condemns' the violence.

ADDIS ABABA (Reuters) – Ethiopia’s government has signed an agreement to end hostilities with the Oromo Liberation Front, which it had previously declared a terrorist movement, state television reported on Tuesday. The deal appeared another step in a drive by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed to improve security and diplomatic relations, reform institutions and open parts of the state-controlled economy. Since the 1970s, the rebels have fought a low-level insurgency for self-determination for the Oromiya region, which is Ethiopia’s largest and home to the Oromo ethnic group. The OLF was initially part of a transitional government set up in 1991 by rebels from the EPRDF coalition who had driven Mengistu Haile Mariam from power, but they soon fell out with the coalition. On Tuesday, the government signed a reconciliation agreement to end hostilities with the OLF’s exiled leader Dawud Ibsa, who lives in exile in Asmara, the capital of neighbouring Eritrea, said Eritrea’s Information Minister Yemane Gebremeskel. somalitribe.com
