  1. We have the most well educated girls and guys, we have no crackheads like in t.o and winserd or should I say ditriot   ...tell this to people who never have or never will visit Ottawa.....
  2. As the Soomaali culture we know {families helping to full causes}, I don't think her father would have remained a nomad "selling" his children for some camels whereas her paternal uncle served as an ambassador. Her father would have lived a villa somewhere in Soomaaliya. I dont know where the paternal uncle part came in, but either way it doesn't matter.....its not unusual to hear about family members who just don't communicate with one another...and i have personal experiences with that, so lets not rule that part out....... Princess, Its not uncommon you know. She probably thought she had no control over the situation. Who knows? Your right, i guess i was trying to imagine the situation for myself, and i couldn't imagine myself doing something like that.....but i would never know..

I noticed your other replies as well, so if you were trying to get me to reply, i guess it worked this time.... what the hell does feminism have to do with what i wrote? I wanted to give Garab an insight on how he sounds when he refrains from using attacks....his argument to me sounds even better when he does this..... yeesh, can y'all lay off the feminist crap..its really getting exhausting
  4. It's very evedient to me now that you're very young in age, PS. You sound smart enough, why don't you go ask women in their 30's what the deal is. I'm wondering whether you would've assumed that i was much older had I said what I planned to do with my life?...Don't confuse what I support to what i believe...The older women in my life regret that they focused soley on marriage and family. My own mother wished that she was able to go to school and start up her own business..she doesn't of course regret her children, so don't mistake this...these are the same women who encourage me to focus on an education and career... i prefer starting a family as early as i can, as opposed to focusing soley on building a career, but on the other hand, i respect those that believe otherwise so you seem smart enough, why dont you listen to what those who hold opposing views have to say and be a little more understanding
  5. You don't compare the Rawandan genocide to the Cambodian genocide. You can't, there is no methodology. In academia, comparing genocide is seen as having no merit. All I can say is, every life has its worth. No life deserves to suffer
  6. She was so scared she let him in

  8. My daughter, sister, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, nieces, cousins, extended family, and friends bless my life. The world wouldn't be the same without them, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead, nor did we know how much we would need each other. Every day,we need each other still. My best friends in the whole world are my cousins, my sister and my mother, and i honestly dont know what i would do without them.my world definitely wouldn't be the same without them..
  9. Oh and SafiaLuuL612.....how about going to school? Getting your masters if you've already finished the four year program...if i could recommend, study abroad...and expand your horizons
  10. It's not WHO critizies us it's WHAT the critizism is about. I beg to differ..if it were a guy speaking on behalf of women, i really doubt that he would be labeled as a feminist... so don't tell me that the fact that these are women isn't a component of the argument...look, i agree that it mainly is the "criticizm' that they're arguing about...speaking about social, and economic advancment does lie under the feminist category.. in the name of self-defence, and not femenist... you make it seem as if those terms aren't interelated....SOME of the times, these women are addressing some of the statements made that oppose the underline factors of feminism...so they defend their stand on it...you see how their canbe related? but i think the reason I'm a little bored( and rather annoyed) about this argument is because of the negative attitude towards feminism....i support the ideology that advocates the granting of the same social, political, and economic rights to women as granted to men...but don't go downplaying this idea with the tarnished feministic ideologies that exist today... UD.....i can't belive that you would even denounce the idea of choosing to focus on a career rather than start mother hood when your 19-29 years old...who are you to classify what someone chooses as their life path as right or wrong?? What I don't support is absentee mother who too busy to be the educator to her child and companion to her spouse I dont support this either, but what i find a little more discouraging is the assumption that i have that you dont support women who choose to be independant.....

^^^someone wants to graduate from alien to nomad^^^ first of all somealien, mansha'allah..good for you...your story's starting to inspire me now as well...and the support your getting is just as beautiful.. as far as the whole gay guys thing goes...are you comforatble when your around them?? I mean if your able to hold conversations without feeling uncomfortable, or bringing up the gay issue then i dont see a problem with just holding some simple conversations....they are still human beings, its not like when they decided to be gay, they gave up their right to hold decent conversations its like once its a gy person were dealing with, "lets hold up the red flag!!"....what about other people who commit other sinful acts..the adulterer, the thief, the liar, etc? In the end i guess were not the ones to judge, right? its up to you. If you dont want to associate with them, then thats your prerogative...if you do, then thts fine as well, i dont think anyone can tell you otherwise..you know whats right or wrong( or at least your going through the process), so you decide on the verdict.
  12. Its getting far to tedious thse days with you "cavemen" using feminism as a scapegoat...not every girl who criticizes you is a feminist
  13. See, us MEN know that we can agree to disagree What a load of crap! Firstly, you too unstable to discuss the finer points of standing up for yourself (that includes war at some level). There you go proving my point(The feminine issue here being Paranoia). No need to take this personally Typical, its just like you men to never take a debate with a woman seriously...Are we always just being "emotional" when were trying to prove a point? I think you just proved the point X was trying to make about you making "sexist comments".
  14. I wonder what would princes_sexy’s theory be about how he came up with that name (dhoosaaye)? Did he go …Dhuurrruuur…..dhuurrruuu.. dhuurrruuu, bingo, that is my name huh? I dont know, maybe he's a person trying to attract attention because he enjoys that, or maybe he's just your average silly kinda guy...but are you really just "wondering", or are you trying to make a point here?..A point that I believe I have tried to make before... you really think that screen names have no significance whatsoever to the person who chose it?? Come on now, even your name( what does it mean exactly? A stick in a graveyard, or a gun in a grave  ) has some sort of meaning relating to you....
  15. "You think as much as college professors, and college professors don't make any money, so if you keep on thinking we won't have any money!" LOL, What an analogy... But anyway, i think me and over 70% of the U.S's population( you know, those who believed Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11) are life-long members of this club. And they say a mind is a terrible thing to waste, look at how much easier our lives are now..
  16. 3) Is it me or is UK taking over this forum, not only are they the majority share holders of the forum, but they seem to be taking over the modering positions as well...(Nothing against english folks) A Monopoly in the making....
  17. May Allah wipe away her sins, save her from the torement of the grave, and accept her into Jannah ameen Aamiin Samir iyo Iman walallo
  18. ^^^Do you really see that as the best alternative???....Why dont you educate yourself? Don't pay so much attention to the images that are prevalent in and around our society. You don't need a gun to be strong, or have power. And you dont need to think that being involved in sports, or hustling is the only way you will be able to make money. The only way you can acquire self-respect is believing in yourself and respecting your self and your mind. You can never trully be educated, becuase with every new day, you are learning something new.If this seems like I am attacking you, those weren't my intentions, it was just a little dis-heartening to read your response
  19. So, how does your name relate to you? Did you pick your name (princes_sexy), because you are a princes and sexy? Well I never did really pick this screen name. A while back when me and my cousin signed on to this website, it was my cousin who handled the "coming up with the screen names"part...I just never got around to changing my nick, because I'm still stumped on what new name i should come up with that does reflect who I am. the only connection i can think of with the name is that in my old neighborhood when I was younger, some of the kids would call me Somalian princess....but that really doesn't have much of a relation to this screen name, that's just the only connection i can think of. But anyways, I dont want you to get confused with what I said, thought i dont fall in this category, many of us chose our nicks, because of our own reasons( it reflects our attitude/personality, it reflects the image we aspire to be, etc)...so the rest of us, assuming this, take the screen names literally.....excuse the redundancy, just wanted some clarification..
  20. I'm so tempted to comment on what a few of you have to say, but it's not my battle( or at least until i have a little more time)...Qac Qac, and garab tuujiye You misunderstood me...so no need to start praying for me Garab, I'll be fine...let me break it down for you But for some odd reason, I'm Somalian. When i said this, i was stating my confusion on how a few of my associates (i should have made this clearer b4, these few that i am referring to really aren't my friends, but just some ppl i talk to here and there) would be so quick to label me somalian, but not african..like which continent is Somalia from again?..but anyways, thats what I meant by "how sad"....thats like saying, "Youre Kenyan, but your not African....but now, go back to attacking opinionated, while you ignore the fact that you guys are being more close-minded than anyone here...(Ooops, bad Sexy! Bad sexy!...well i'll be leaving now...........)
  21. Not everyone, but some do.....One example i can think of right now is you, opinionated( sorry, but your the first one that came to mind)..I noticed on a few posts, how for some reason a few of our nomads find it a sort of hobby of theirs to criticize a few of your comments, when there were a few other people who were saying just about the same thing...maybe they felt you were a bit more "opinionated"?? I think its like this, we pick our nicks for our own reasons....but majority of the time, it relates to you in some way...so for some, they feel it safe to assume that it represents you in some way and feel justified when they take it literally...did that make sense?
  22. Whats all of this rubbish!!! i would chose the lifestyle of a princess anyday....just think of the power and admiration... Why can't i live in my own fantasy world?? Are there really a lot of girls using this??I never meant to keep this nick, and I think I really need to start changing it, cause it's getting a litle annoying..I mean what the heck is 'Princess_sexy'?? Sexy_princess I can see, but this!!?? So if any of you have wonderful nicks in mind, and wouldnt mind sharing it, I would love to hear it?
  23. garab tuujiye & nuune While Im busy trying to learn all of these other languages, I dont even know my own that well, and I'm sorry for that... I didn't understand a lot of what you guys were trying to tell me, but I will try my best to respond to what I assume you were telling me....I apologize in advance if you guys don't understand english that well( althought based on previous posts, I think you guys do pretty well), as I can understand how frustrating it can be when someone addresses you in a language your not that fluent in... anyways to nuune I take it that you didnt mean what you said, and I accept your apology, but just to let you know, i undestand that what you said wasn't directed towards me, I just wanted you to be a little more humble towards the poster. I'm aure there are a few girls that would make great use of an organization like this( but based on Yasmine's post, I guess a real one would help!) Oh, and garab tuujiye, Lol, I wasn't really upset, I just wanted Nuune to be a little understanding, so I wont have to worry about " hadii xanaaqeysidna diraca iska jeex jeex ciil daraadiis."
  24. You guys are just as picky as us gals.....It's all a part of our human nature
