So,Open-mindedness is considering/listening to the new or different ideas and opinions and to be tolerant with them but without getting affected if they are against your values, principls and beliefs. Peace

    Open Minded

An open-minded person does not hesitate from exploring all sorts of evils, and does not like to adhere to rules and regulation set by either religion or authority ???? ------------------------------ Jumatatu, ppl's opinions and personalities are different. What is fine with you is not fine with another person. So i think we are all here to giv different difintions and answers for(Open-Mindedness). Its just like Freedom, Freedom definition is different from one person to another. So the same applies to the Open-Mindedness. Peace

    Open Minded

Well, being educated, working person, rich or a even a president cannot make you an open-minded person. If you dont have the skills for being an open-minded person. Besides, i dont consider ppl who imitate others in everything are open-minded ppl. 1- I believe that the Open Minded person (as a muslim) is someone who respect and follow his/her religion's values and teachings no matter how their societies or surroundings are different from the Islamic teachings. For instance, in the West, you can live with others who are different from your religion, deal with them without being influnced by their way of living. I dont say that the West is bad 1000%, they do have good things and bad things. The West has the technology, power, education, science .... etc. So the real open-minded, smart and mature person is the one who takes the good things (the core) that help him in his life and leave the bad things (the Shells)such as the ALcohol,Drugs,Relationships,Suicides,Weak Social relationships....etc 2- Also having your own opinions without bias or prejudice and standing up for what is right no matter what are the pressures you are facing. 3- I think also the Open minded person is the one who convince others without offending, attacking and hurting them. Ppl can disgree with your opinions and beliefs. So the way you deliver your opinions and beliefs is important. PEACE

Moti, being in Guantanamo is better than Cambodia J/K LOOL All da best in yr Hell, dont worry u will Survive, coz the Somali Nation are the Only nation that can survive under all the cruel and horrible circumstances. Even if the Qaxooti is opened for them in Antarcatica and Alaska, they will go there and survive Speaking about da Qaxooti, i wana know something. Why CANT the Somali people settle in one country. They keep moving from a country to another. If they are in Netherlands, they will go to UK. If they are in UK they will go to USA If they are in Norway they will go Denmark If they are in Denmark they will move to Norway If they are in Finland they will go to UK If tehy are in Germany they cant leave Germany 9ej ele galaw NOMADS even in Europe
  10. Somalisiju, u dont have to justify the actions of the Somali bad girls. I dont think the reasons behind them being bad are because of the somali guys' faults. I dont think that the Somali gurls would become bad because their BFs/husbands/fiances or whatever dumped them or deceived them. Or bcz the somali guys dont say nice, romantic and warm words. I mean, our mothers' and Grand mothers' lives in Somalia was hard and rough life. They didnt get use to warm words. But they survive I think those girls are bad bcz thats what they want, thats what they've choosed. Dont blame others for being a bad person. In life, u either choose to be a good or bad, its all in ur hands. I think the reason behind being bad or going to Clubs and discos with non-somalis (actually i dont believe in this places even with a somalis)is because some girls are obssesed with the Western Style. They are imitating everything western in their clothes, attitude, way of thinking....etc. Or maybe they think that the non-somalis are more modern, civilised, free and more understanding whateva. I Hope they realise that imitating the non-muslims, going to discos and bars, having boy friends doesnt mean you are a modern, independent & a civilised Girl/Woman.

  12. Sumcad xumada ina haysataa maxay tahay? Are u talking about Sumcad xumada in General or only what the Bad Somali girls do? First of all, Sumcad Xumado kuma xirna hablaha only. There are hundreds of Somali men and guys who are spoiling the somali image and degrading our reputation. Shall we talk about the Somali males who drink liquors and alcohol, or those who abuse children, or deal with the drugs, attack the women, or even became gays. mmm perhas u gonna consider them as individual cases and not sumcad xumu. Second of all, As i said above they are bad girls, and bad Somali girls are everywhere, even if they remained inside Somalia they will dance, hook with non-somalis or do horrible things. Again our guyz are repeating the same words. Our girls are imitating Beyonce, Janet Jackson, Ashanti bla bla bla. And they 4get totally about their brothers who imitate 2PAC, Snoopy Doggy Dog, Will Smith, Usher,Nelly and Puff Daddy with his long cross on his neck. Isnt that Sumcad xumo too ?? Iam not defending the bad girl-wannabe but i hope to listen once to A frank, honest and Clear Somali Guy who is talking about Sumcad Xumada in General. They always point their fingers on girls and women only.
  13. Thanx for the pics Mansoor, i've already put Daallo's mountain (sea-side one) as a background for my PC. U know what, the beautiful place in Daallo's mountain is the cliff. Actually its too dangerous to get close, but u won't resist to go and see it. It was too windy and cold. Hey u must eat Las Qoraay's Tuna, So tasty so tasty so tasty. Guys bellah 3aleekom we have this nature and beauty, do we need to spend our vocations in Scandanvian countries, Europe or America??!! OG-Girl, merci eedu we brought some Canuu Geel, moqmad & pure honey ya Honey I hope you all go there and enjoy as i did. Peace, Progress & Prosperity 4 Somalia.
  14. Frankly, i dont trust the News, I dont trust the TV, I dont trust the American Administration. I dont believe anything they say till i make sure. I think Bush and the American Administration are showing us this trial just to cover and let the ppl 4get about their scandal in Abo Guraib's jail and the daily scandals they are doing everywhere in Palestine, in Iraq, in Saudi Arabia and everywhere. Its time to let ppl concetrate and focus on Saddam's triall more than anything. But this is not weird action at all from the American Administration. 1- When the Serbs killed the bosnian muslims, the whole world begged USA and UN to stop this massacre and ethnic-cleansing against this muslim nation but USA didnt care and they considered the matter internal issue and not international, while when IRaq invaded Kuwait they sent their armies right away to save the Kuwaiti nation. what for ?? 3ashan sawad 3yoona, no of course. They wanted to keep and save their own businesses and purposes. 2- When the Serbian dictator Slobodan Milosevic was caught, they didnt do a trial for him as they did to Saddam now, they sent him to the International Court of Justice. See the difference??? Yes Saddam is a killer, a murderer, a criminal and killed and tortured millions but even the murderers have the right to be judged in a right way. Not by another murderer like Bush. 3- Ppl who think that USA is leader of Liberty, Human Rights, Freedom and Justice should think twice why USA is doing this to Saddam today. And why they are not treating Sharon the same, the Russians who are killing the Chichins and the Big Monkey Bush. They are all dictators and criminals. So who is gonna judge them? Anyway, the Real Judge Is Allah and the real Justice is with him only. Namrud is dead, the Pharoh is Dead, Stalin is dead, Lenin is Dead, Hitler is Dead,Golda Mayer is dead, Bin Goryon is dead, Moshi Dayan is dead, so do Bush and Sharon.
  15. I really enjoyed my vocation this year in my country. We were planning to go to Denmark this year and visit my Aunti in Copenhagen and then we changed our plans to Syria. But subxan allah, god was so generous and merciful when he sent us to Somaliland. And whether its Somaliland or whole Somalia, I appreicate and value every part of our motherland Somalia and I consider it precious and important. So here what I liked and what I disliked that I hope the somali ppl should re-consider and change them. First what I liked and adored:- 1- I liked the Cool weather and I thank Allah Al Mighty for the Rains in Ceerigabo (Erigavo) and I pray hard that Allah send the Rain of Mercy to all Somalia. To all Somalia’s mountains, vallies, farms, hills, woods and to the all the creatures in Somalia but not upon us. 2- I liked the Sunrise and the Sunset where no huge & high buildings that will stop you to enjoy seeing this fantastic scene. 3- I liked the beauty of the Sky at nights. Watching the sky with its beautiful moon and Shining stars. 4- I liked the Beauty of Daallo and Surud Mountains in Erigavo and Sheikh Mountains in Burco. 5- I liked the Fresh Milk, Meat,Vegtables and Fruits. 6- I liked the strong social ties between the people there. 7- I liked the Somali Proverbs, Poems and Plays (Riiwaydaha) they really crack me up. I couldn’t stop myself from laughing. Besides, I enjoyed the Hindi ahd Chinese movies translated to Somali Language 8- I liked the Somali animals & Livestock : Sheeps,Camels, Goats, Cows, Falcons, chirpy birds, beautiful butterflies I even liked the weird and scary insects  9- It was great opportunity to meet some of my family, relatives and make new friendships over there. I saw ppl I used to know them only by names and I met ppl I missed them long time ago . 10- I liked the new and paved roads, the new houses, constructions and Hotels in Hergisa and Burco.I hope this is the start of new and hopeful life. 11- I liked the Somali Educational Curriculum, ya salaaam , so amazing wallahi. I spent lovely times reading somali books, specially the Af-Somalii books & Cilmiga Bulshada (The Socity Book). I brought 4 books with me to learn how to write the Somali Language well. OG-Girl get some books , you gonna like them a lot. And all the stories in the Af-Somali books are about the Dawaco, Warabi, liibax, Ri’ iyo Hadga-adag LOL Dislikes……. 1- The first thing I disliked and I hate it till now and I will keep hating it is the Qaat Plant. Seeing that plant on a table in the market or in our men’s mouths makes me feel sick. PPl are Wasting their money and health on something silly is something horrible really. Seeing a Truck or a Car full of Qaat plant make me disappointed.I hope we get rid of this dilemma called “Qaat Mania” 2- I disliked some people with their narrow minds who are still glorifying their tribes and degrading other tribes and people . Have they forgetten what the tribal fightings did to us??!! Nothing except Civil Wars, Diaspora and sufferings  3- I disliked the differences between the currencies from a city to a city in Somaliland. Burco’s money is different than Hargisa and Berbera and different than Ceerigabo’s money. Now my lil sister find this so cool to find Some Phillipine Money(Ceerigabo money) and some Giimbaar money(Burco’s money) and some Laan money (Hargisa and Berbera’s money) and some Dollars in our bag. With some UAE money that will make a good Money Collection or Small Exchange Office. P.S. Whoever is going there take a BIG Bag to carry the money 4- I disliked the Bad Language of some people there. It seems its OK with them to mention so filthy and bad words that I’never heard in my whole life. Its so funny that in our house my father consider the word “Naya” is a bad word when calling a girl or a lady 5- I disliked some grocers and shop-owners when they try to cheat the Somali ppl who are not living in Somalia. They will try their best to get more money from you. If the Hargisa’s Water Bottle is 4000 Shiling they will sell it to you 8000 shilling  6- I disliked seeing a man or a teengager carrying a gun or a knife. That really scared me a lot. Cause anyone of them can lose his temper easily and get his knife or gun out of his pocket and end someone’s life for silly and ****** reasons. I think they must drop all these weapons and use their mouths for negotiation rather than using their weapons. 7- I disliked the attitudes of some Somalis (Who come from Europe and America) in the Airport of Hergisa & Berbera. Who think themselves as if they are the best of the best and the kings and queens of Somalia. Shouting and yelling at everyone and humiliating the airports' officers and clerks. As if paying some dollars to the government is the end of the world. I mean they pay taxes to the Western and American governments so whats the big deal if they pay few dollars to their country. Besides they keep nagging and blaming the Somalis inside Somalia for destroying the country and not builing it. I say to them, instead of blaming others, do your part of the job. Do something for the country and stop throwing the blames to each others. If we kept blaming each others nothing will change @ all. All Praise to Allah for this safe, easy and lovely trip and thanks to allah that I took my Video Camera and I recorded everything I saw in this trip. But I do regret that I took 5 cassettes only, I wish I took more than 5. A Chinese proverb says “A long road starts with a first step”. I hope we all co-operate and put our hands together to save what have remained in Somalia. May Allah bless you all

    Somali Jews

There are Somali Jews, Christians, Buddhists, and perhaps even Athiests (I have met one myself). So what? So what?????? Its not about who is Christian and who is a Jewish or Buddist, its about since when they were Christians, Jews and Buddists??? Were they born originally as Jews and Christians, or they had converted recently and embraced Christianty,Judaism or Buddism?!!!!! And dont tell me there were Christians and Jews in Somalia 15 to 20 years ago  specially a Buddist?? Perhaps we used to have tens of them in somalia but dont you think the number is increasing now!!!! My father once told me he used to know a chirstian somali man called Michael, and he was an old man that time, he didnt convert to Christianity but this man was a xabashi(Christian Euthopian) who lived in Somalia for many many years and never changed his religion. Most ppl know that Yibirs are muslims, but some of them fid up from the somalis underestimating them and degrading them, so they pretend to be as Jews so that they leave the country and get better chances for living. Like travelling or getting better jobs or whateva. OG Girl, dear i dont think the somali ppl would mind the differences and reject them. If this religious differences were there from the begining. And as i told you above about Michael the Old Chiristian somali, bel3aks when my dad talked about him it seems like he was respected and the muslims somali didnt care about his Cross around his neck or his background. Bs shay frj chebeer been a chirstian who was borned as a Christian and a Muslim who convereted to Christianity and Judaism. What you think??!! The problem of the Yibirs is not a religion problem, its a A tribal problem. Our main disaster in Somalia is the Qabaliya that bcz of it the narrow-minded ppl are discriminating and underestimating other somali ppl.

  25. Darman, i guess it was the Arabic version of Big Brother. Arabic Big BRO Then later after few weeks the show was suspended by the governement. Arabic Big Bro suspended Isnt weird that Muslims whether they are Somalies,Arabs or non-arabs cant and dont participate in the big and important events like Nobel,Olympics,World Cup,Quizes,Debates....etc Oh yeaaah,we are so happy, saying it so Loudly and Proudly (3ajaba rabby  ) And next to come:- 1- Miss Somalia wearing the Bikkini & dancing the Tango 2- Miss.
