  3. It's a tragic event that every person with a sound brain should condemn. But according to Ngongne the killing of innocent Iraqis and afghanis is justiffied!!!!!. Ngogne, dont u think that those who condone this act in London and those who condone the war in Iraq (here it's u ) are the same???

    SMOKE FREE DAY!

If anyone of you smokes and intends honestly to quit, the best way is to have the determination, that's it, chewing nicoten-containing gums nicoten patches didn't help but what helped me was throwing that packet away, u see it's so simple, but only when you are honest with yourself. Gooooooooooooood luck.

    Silence

Originally posted by Animal Farm: Silence is oppression, Silence is depresson, Silence is fear Silence is discomfort Silence is a secret Silence is scary Silence is compliance Silence is acceptance Silence is ugly Silence is low self-esteem Silence is my friend That's what i think silence is ... In reply to your post, I will post again an old poem of mine I posted in this forum in 2002. here it goes: SILENCE covers both peace and grief The white dove, the symbol of peace Opts to befriend with the SILENCE Without IT, the dove departs And takes the peace away The grieved takes refuge in SILENCE And shares his pain with the SILENCE But this is another SILENCE! Silence covers both love and hatred It covers the love that's difficult to express It represents the hatred you hate to declare It isn't by the silence that we define But what the silence contains! A beautiful full-moon night decorated with stars Offers a SOUNDLESS and peaceful environment That no one can resist appreciating A disaster leaves behind a destruction That is surrounded by a SILENCE A SILENCE befriended with deaths And this is another SILENCE! An early QUITE morning is welcome By singing birds and new flowers And a rising sun with gentle light Without that SILENCE of the morning The day is different It isn't by the SILENCE that we define But what the SILENCE contains!!!

This may not be the exact translation but I will try: Dhibaatooyin la xiriira hunguriga qanjir ku yaala oo sii daaya dheecaan, dheecaankaas oo ka mas'uul ah sidii nafaqada cuntada ku jirta loogu badali lahaa Tamar.

    MAY 18th

I on behalf of all those somalis who believe in Unity and brotherhood wish all Somalilanders a happy secession day.
  13. Dear Baashe, Thyroid is a Qanjir/Qanjidh but the question is what's the name of that gland(Qanjidh) in Somali!!. The one you are talking about is different than the thyroid gland, that's called parotid gland which is situated below each ear. Thyroid gland is situated on Adam's apple, so would it be in Somali Qanjirka Hunguriga!!!, I can be wrong.

  20. I would say to the poster and those of you who agree with him;this cyper world is so small that your baseless generalisations will send a wrong signal about the Somalis as a nation. Though I dont consider myself an arab but I share with the arabs THE PURPOSE of my life, which is to worship Allah and follow the guidings of the prophet, Islam for every one of us should come before Somalism. We are muslims first then Somalis. Secondly our prophet PBUH was an Arab. Even it would be unethical to paint on any human being(who so ever he maybe ) a downgrading comments let alone ppl who share alot with you.
