  1. This summer's been all bout being a "raggaemufin"...right now..Iam feeling' the Album by Chaka Damus & pliers...(early 90's-club favs)(there is Sean Paul in it anywaz when he was yound & underground). IF you bump this CD..I guarantee is gonna be a "jump off" up in here... But still not any song is still toppin' the Maxi Priest's " "Some guyz got all the luck" in the album the BEST OF ME...whoow! I mean is it me or this song or the album is addicting?
  2. "Why do i get the feelings that someone was sent to "downtown" but he is not interested" ....loool Shyhem..mazee wacha hizo...I feel the same...but Lakini   Mindstate...Like most of the nomads said, communicating with her is the first step of solving your nightmare!..Second, if the advice dont work, plz consult with some religious leaders/friends,internet sites or books (Islam-Specific on the issue) and weight your thoughts and decision regarding on the subject of the matter. ....However, like Qa'Qa said already, it's best if your relationship's "kinky" secrets are kept..but Iam gonna refute the perception that you blasted your "burning issue" into this forum, so that you could get more information(which I hope!).

  6. Libin..I totally agree with you that HIV-virus has already spread to Somalia..but we only hope that it would not become an endemic or an epidemic, if nothing is done to stop it. Worst of it, due to malnutrition, unprotected sex, and other diseases that are already an epidemic to region e.g Malaria(which currently the parasite-plasmodium-has become resitant to the vaccine (quinine) and the host(anopheles mosquito) has changed its breeding habits)), yellow fever, Elephantasis etc.-see the AIDs virus is an opportunistic pathogen and the weaker the individual the more likely one becomes susceptable to become Acquired(become AID's patient). Unfortunately, Africans have become the center of genetic development because of the unique immune system they possess that might be suitable for mutational experiments such as Spontaneous transformation of the recombinant DNA(in which the above doctors and scientists are using)to manipulate the genetic make-up of their DNA.

  8. my perception on the matter is that there might be the tendancy of one becoming like their parents in regards to genetic makeup...however, I wouldn't argue that completely one ends up takin' up or adopting to their parents characteristics and way of life. I think it depends on the environment and time changes...however, one might sustain to keep the same values, rituals, traditions of their parents depending on how it suits the situation.
  9. very funny unknown213 ...one almost just escaped...but i got hold of it b4 I embarrassed myself amongst my co-workers.  ..

Its worldwide known for its research in public health issues around the globe, and its has merged its Epidemiology-infectious diseases of tropical countries(especially in Africa-like Malaria etc) with University of Paris(France); there are faculty members that teach this health issues here at the U and there classes are offered during the Spring semester. I guess they cant survive the winter...lol... For those in the US...there are so many programs that offer research opportunities and fellowships for a semester or during the summer...so plz take advantage of this...YOu can't believe how many students come from all over the US(and the world) just through this summer programs/projects...some of them are from south America  chao

  19. Enterpreneur walaalo, are you really that hateful of others? Iam mean why you gotta hate the kenyans like that when all we(the whole world) want is peace...lol...I mean to the point that you eradicate the notion of calling a somali adoon but will fit perfectly to a kenyan?...sicky!! sicky!!ok that was my passive voice talkin' here is me now.... It seems like you got some issues with kenyans and the whole nine-yards...well, I suggest then you take your comments to the Annual Kenyan Forun in Jersey(New Jersey) on July, coz their are some prominent leaders coming..and hopefully they will have the "chance" to listen to your comments..coz you trippin' big time bro...you got so much 'drama' messin' with your head   ....lord!!!

  22. lol Malaika...I do live in MPLS too...i guess we pass each other on the Mississippi bridge or the freeway..doing the opposite..(u to MPLS and me to St. Paul)..
  23. well Iam tired of arguing...you just want to "bandage" your opinion/perception on me..and I think, like you said, everyone is entitled to their opinion. So, walaalo...calm yourself down..besides I stressed that i wasn't hated by the mainstream somalis(infact majority of my family is from Somalia-so why deny!).... And why are your still clinging to that notion of "having a colonial mentality".....stop instilling your "backward, narrow-minded, colonial" ideas into my head..believe me it will never get thru'.....where is your respects/manners.. on the issue at hand, I only painted a picture...but that didn't necessitate that I predominately hated somalis..Iam somali myself, why would I do such a thing??? In this world, people have a difference of opinion....I dont know where in the world you came from..but certainly I have never seen your kind...lord... And just to piss you off..here is another swahili proverb again... Proverb: Maafuu hapatilizwi. Direct Trans: The Insane is not revenged upon. Meaning: The actions of an insane (or stupid) person should not anger us. We can't (and shouldn't) reason with feeble mentalities. If you are here to piss me off..then pee on me coz that's how you will get my attention..otherwise..cut the crap!! I apologize to the others!!!!

  25. Salaamz, "I think so called "sijuis" are victims of colonialism - and thus we feel that we are better than or are treated differently by the somalis in general. a refutable allegation! We are indeed positively treated by somalis! For example, we are not part of the devil of hatred that has plagued our brothers and sisters in somali proper! I.E NO ONE CALLS US this or that tribe. "Anyway to cut this short: WE ARE NOT HATED BUT LOVED! It is the colonial mentality that makes some of us think we are hated!" Enterpreneur..I didn't mean to make this conversation a long one neither was I anticipating a debate of some sort, nor did I mention that I was hated(maybe some did, but not me..I just laid out a scenerio...) I wasn't here to boast around with my flag..speaking of flags...The kenyan flag doesn't represent "colonialism" as you put it...the fact that it was established after colonialism doesn't mean that the colors are coded with respect to the colonial regime...However, the colors are coded with respect to the values achieved after the oppression and independence of the kenyan people....they stand for the blood shed(red), the race of the people(black), peace(white stripes), and the vegetation of the country. Being harrassed as a result of your difference doesn't reciprocate one to wholely judge a whole country and its people narrowly like you did...it's just politically incorrect..there is good and bad people in every community. By the way, I think you got your words twisted in the last paragraph...it the somalis( from somalia) that call their brothers and sistas regarding their tribes...(this is actually a whole, another nasty topic that I would rather not get into)...i dont need to provide the evidence I hope, it's obvious!! By the way, criticize but dont judge people(when you said its the colonial mentality...blah..blah..blah..yarayara yara..).. Swahili Proverb: Wajua tamu ya ua, sumu wanipiani? direct translation: You know the sweetness of a flower (nectar), why give me poison? Meaning: May be said to those who annoy others on purpose. The nectar refers to expected behaviour in codes of conduct, while the poison refers to unpleasantness. (adopted from swahilionline) midwesta
