  1. Paragon, If you're asking me this, I'm sure you've been following my love affair with Somaliland very closely and know why I finally choose to wave the flag. If any group within Somaliland say they're against being part of that country my personal opinion will be to cut them loose and let them go. But that will also mean that I'll return that flag to reside under my bed once more. I don't believe they want to go. As for this being a marriage of connivance, would you guys say the same about LA and those other parts? Mese, yaa A&T, it's only the people of Awdal that are masaakin and can't fend for themselves?
  2. ^^ Yet they HAVE united? Now who is playing with words here?
  3. ^^ And she expects you to write e-mails to organisations!
  4. My Somalia My Somalia will have 100% literacy. The people will all get back in touch with their geeljire heritage and will be required to tend camels at least twice a week. Everyone will be chauffer driven to work The girls will be pretty and the boys handsome There will be rain everyday and sunshine all year round Children will start reciting poetry at the age of one and three quarters (late developers will receive governmental assistance). The ruling party will have to govern for periods lasting no more than one week and then they'll need to relinquish power to the opposition parties. The president will be chosen daily on a first-come-first-served basis (and all candidates must line up outside the presidential mansion by 6.30 in the morning at the latest). The country will be self-sufficient and will export any surplus to the starving people of Outer Magnolia. The clan system will be banned and replaced by one that traces an individual's genealogy up to and including the tenth grandfather. Guns will be banned and the police service will only be supplied with feather dusters.
  5. ^^ I'm not against the man at all (though my words may come across as such). In fact, I would prefer him to the republicans. I am not at all holding my breath for any great change though. But my opposition to him here is more to do with the way his fans perceive him than what he'll eventually become. I just feel it's worthwhile to dampen your spirits, saaxib. Better now than later, as it were.
  6. ^^ It was a simple question, saaxib. LL, I don't need to ask. I'm assuming I'm talking to an intelligent person that realises how words work. When you talk about that region with such authority it is not a great leap for me to assume that you hail from that region. Otherwise, why should I take you seriously? As for your point, yes it is common sense not to crow and reopen old wounds by celebrating the achievements of people that some of your population might regard as killers and murderers. But, do they really? Other than lone voices in the wilderness (like yours) we have not seen any strong protests against such celebrations. If it were offensive and the feelings were that strong they would have done a Makhir by now, wouldn't you say?
  7. ^^ You did not answer my question, Lois. As for the 'my people' comment, are they not? Pardon, my mistake. I saw the authority you were speaking with and assumed you were from Awdal.
  8. ^^ It was an interesting program. By the way, this is different to the other thread we had. This is a program on national TV. They invite and expect comments from all sides. The distinction is probably lost on you though. Keep it up though and I'll do my best to set you straight from time to time. Did you take part in this last night?
  9. It's not I who came up with this, saaxib. It's Obama himself. He managed to con millions of people into believing that he was for change when all along he was just another politician. You tell me it is politics and I am fine with that. I've always been an opportunist after all. But why would YOU support him over Clinton or the Republicans? Was it not because you got hoodwinked by his false change message? Or was it because he's black? I can fully understand Obama's motives. He is indeed a politician and, for him, the ends will always justify the means. What are YOUR motives?
  10. Originally posted by Castro: Nothing funnier than reading exchanges between collaborator-cheerleaders and secessionists. Dameer: donkey Dhago: ears Take your pick boys. Oh com one now. Everything Somali IS funny. Just because you're a fan of the boys of General-Major-Sergeant-Colonel Indha Cade does not preclude you from being ridiculed.
  11. Oh look! He's moving to the centre now. Bloody fake.
  12. ^^ So why are your people not making a big fuss about this SNM business? Are they scared the ghosts of the past will come back and burn the place down or something? What Xidigo (unwittingly I'm sure) forgot to do was to give the source of these two articles. One Bashir Goth. A staunch Somalilander and fervent awdalite. In short, it's just another citizen complaining about his president. Oh what an outrage.
  13. ^^ Nope. Not working for me, saaxib. Why do you need Somaliland when you've already got a better cause to believe in?
  14. What Ethiopia wanted was to deepen the Somali conflict to the degree where dialogue and peaceful settlement is near impossibility. She wanted a scenario where those whose political muscle and military strength depends on her continue needing her for the years to come. Her strategies have always been that if Somalis can be divided both on clannish and ideological lines, she would stand to prevail. And here my good friend is where your bankruptcy clearly shows on. Today as a Somali you are staring at millions of your kind hoarded into shacks, internally displaced in their own country and dying by the hundreds. You are staring at the destruction of your major cities. Who says THIS is what Ethiopia wants? I've seen this idea being peddled by many people on this site in the past few years with no proof whatsoever that this is indeed the Ethiopian goal. What country in the world would want to have an unstable neighbour next door? A burning Somalia is nothing but a headache to Ethiopia. I fail to see the benefits here. Mese wad eso nacamliinaysan?

  16. ^^ I've been good lately (ok, in the last couple of days) and let lots of nonsensical threads go without putting them down. In fact, I looked at this thread several times and walked away before making any replies. Like you, I thought the kid was onto something but the minute I saw that cliche about 'denial being a river in Egypt' I knew this was nothing but stuff and nonsense. At least the luddites of the past had a worthwhile argument. Anytime he's ready to get serious I'll be more than happy to get serious too. Ps You're one of the people he's talking about. What's worse, it's getting into your dreams now. Wax esku fal and stop eating cheese before going to bed.
  17. Correction: THE NILE is a river in Egypt (and other places). Carry on....
  18. ^^ I do. But I don't want to talk about it right now. I have less than ten minutes to go and I need to go look for (or 'borrow') a spare brolly.
  19. Para, It's 07/07, blud. Nobody will blame you for feeling down today (more so if you have to take the tube home).
  20. ^^ It's not much of a story to be honest. Ceyrow's difficult customer act is.
  21. I was about to put my flag back under my bed as I read the first few lines of the original post. Still, got to say it was a beautifully written propaganda. Ps Ceyrow Jnr, You have become quite a nuisance of late. Choose a side and stick with it. A man with two wives can never be fair to them both, never mind one with two causes.
  22. ^^ You show any old Somali woman a video of Marcus and she'll swear the boy chews day and night.
  23. ^^ I'm willing to bet that they will not ban it when the time comes. Like the Labour party, they'll choose to overlook the pitfalls of Qaat and instead focus on the benefits of it (you do realise the government makes millions from this business, don’t you?). Maybe if the Irish and other European countries had as many Qaat lovers as found in the UK, they too would not have banned it. ps North, Had you e-mailed me this rubbish on Saturday I would have sent you back an abusive e-mail. But, today is ok.
  24. Cadaan, Here is what they say: Woman: What's wrong darling, I've been ringing you since last night and you're not picking up. You always seem to be out of range. Man walks by and mumbles something. Woman: What's the story, is it still not working? Man: It's normal, dear. NORMAL. Woman: Normal? Ok. GOODNIGHT. Man: What am I supposed to do now? What am I supposed to do? Voiceover: With Snafi, there is no doubt that your credit will increase. (It's all innuendo, saaxib. The product being advertised is one of those Viagra sorts of products). ps The Saudi one there is also funny. The man walks in and asks if the kids did their homework. The mother tells him that they did and that now it is his turn to do his homework. Heh.
