^^ It felt nice throwing your name in there. Still the fraudulent premise seems to convince more and more people by the day. Won't you ditch the madness in the south and come join us?
-
^^ I agree. Why don't you call yourselves The Dreamers?

Originally posted by Peace Action: It is amazing, the natural skeptic NG is taking a stand as a Slander dreamer. But when Riyaale is gone and reer Awdal turn their back on the dream and come down to reality, he will too. He is a realist afterall. Oh I'm still as cynical as ever, saaxib. However, I threw my lot with Somaliland out of conviction not mere sentiment. When I was against them in the past it was because I did not believe in the Somaliland politicians, but today I fully endorse Riyaale (even though most people would not). You can have your Shabaab, Asmara Groups and TFG, I only follow Riyaale. Castro, Xidigo, Paragon, Sophist and Even Baashi (not to forget Xiin) would argue, twist facts, fit round holes into square pegs in order to try to convince us that Somaliland is not moving forward or at least not achieving any of its set goals. However, the facts on the ground (and not the waxa la yedhi grapevine or the H collective) clearly show that Somaliland is actually making rapid progress and confounding all and sundry. All this is down to the Udub Party and president Riyaale. Of course, North and others may argue that he's a buffoon (and he sometimes comes across as such) but the man is doing the job he's been elected to do and doing it well. Let us assume that this Awdal business is true and that the people of Awdal do not want to be part of Somaliland. The question will be then why are they not voicing this opinion of theirs or even rebelling? Since nobody is giving us a good and acceptable reply I would like to suggest that this is down to Mr Riyaale's consummate political ability (or at least if not his then that of his advisors). LA was a problem area and was an obstacle to Somaliland claiming its old colonial borders. Yet, again, the Somaliland fox managed to outwit the people of that area into breaking up and rejoining Somaliland. Now some would argue that this is down to some people being opportunistic and working for their own ends but what they forget to notice whilst wailing about such in-house treachery are the clearing clouds, the tweeting birds and the smiley Sun of Mr Riyaale's face. His expert knowledge and ability to throw the cat amongst the pigeons (with hardly any blood loss at all) must truly be commended. The man has been gambling and every time he did it he miraculously pulled another ace (didn't some French man once talk about lucky generals?). When one is faced with such a force of nature, such political acumen, such ability, shrewdness (and, above all, luck) one cannot sit on the fence anymore. For the past few years president Riyaale has managed to outmanoeuvre his opposition at home (see the Qaran issue, the election feat and the various other small triumphs) and he utterly outplayed his external detractors (waxa la yedhi Awdal does not want to be part of Somaliland yet IT IS. Waxa la yedhi SSC are not part of Somaliland but NOW they are, waxa la yedhi, waxa la yedhi......). Now be good sports and give the man his due. He certainly got me off my fence and I would never dream of supporting anyone but a winner. Riyaale for another term, Riyaale for Somaliland. Riyaale for recognition.

The Somalis didn’t attack us, so why are we fighting them?
NGONGE replied to Haaraahur.'s topic in Politics
There are so many holes in that argument as to let an Ethiopian tank pass through it unharmed. Stuff and nonsense. -
^^ Things are really simple, dear. Today, Awdal is part of Somaliland because the people of Awdal did not claim otherwise. If what you're saying is true then there is nothing to stop people like you (who are out of Somalia/Somaliland) from creating their own groups and voicing their resistance. I could easily accept that some people from SSC are against Somaliland (because there are such groups that speak loudly of such a feeling) but, as things stand today, I refuse to believe that the people of Awdal are against Somaliland. Your solitary voice does not matter. Heck, there are people from Hargeisa and Burco who are against Somaliland. But they're only one or two insignificant people. Go on, form a union and turn your petulant anger into something worthwhile. Until then, I'll just look upon you as a fellow citizen.

The small details, Lilly, is that he's alive, he's working for a living and he did not drown on the way to Yemen. Go tell this to any of his peers in Somalia and empathy will be the last sensation they'll have, more like jealousy. ps The one meal or three meals a day thing is just the way the cookie crumbles. A man who works for his living and manages to save enough to send money home does not at all deserve my sympathy (that would be an insult frankly).

A Revolution against Somalia’s Assassination Spree is a Must
NGONGE replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Geel Jire, I copied and pasted Malika's words into Babble Fish and all she seems to be saying there was : Oh. Ok. I made a mistake. (yeah, I know, I was shocked too). -
^^ Malika, I don't think she doubts their cruelty or readiness to rape someone once, twice or until there is no breath left in that corpse. She seems to question the idea that after they raped the girl in the morning, they went around looking for her and managed to find her house so that they can have another go! LG seems to think this is farfetched but LG is spoilt anyway. Did you know she has expensive cheese for dinner every night? Marx, You don't look Somali yourself, saaxib. Cover those shades before throwing stones at others. Professor, Mr ME is a drama queen, saaxib. I didn't think you too was one of those. War get a grip. If we have to feel sorry for people then I have to tell you about this cousin of mine who works as a bus driver. Sometimes even yehood get on his bus! See how low we've become? yehood get on his bus.

What? A man working hard to make a living? Yes it is who I am. But I happen to have THREE pairs of trousers not two.
-
^^ I was not. Not in that last post anyway.
-
^^ He's no Mascherano, Alonso or Gerrard, saaxib. In fact, he's not even better than Barry. Good but not a replacement for any of those three (not unless Liverpool are winning by three goals and need to rest someone). ps The good news is that our injured defender will be back next season. It'll be like having a new signing.
-
^^ NO. It's miles away from me. Plus it will be full of timo jilic (and I have lately developed an allergy to that lot). When is the Islam Channel one? Or is this the same one? Still, that does not stop it from being an Islamic event.

^^ Do you blame him? North, you rate Lucas? LUCAS?

A Revolution against Somalia’s Assassination Spree is a Must
NGONGE replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Dear Sir, I fully agree with your recent editorial regarding the assassinations of important Somali personalities. This is unacceptable, intolerable and wrong. When these dark and unknown forces were killing our women and children, we did not like it but hoped that things will get better with time. However, now that they're hunting down our aristocrats we cannot stand by and let it happen no more. The TFG should station at least one fully operational technical outside the houses of all important Somali people. Engineers, humanitarians and foreign visitors should each have at least half a dozen bodyguards. Sir, we are happy to sacrifice our infant children for a better Somalia. We don't like that our women are oppressed and raped but we shall happily grin and bear it. However, when these animals start targeting our aristocrats is when we shall have enough and demand a revolution. How dare they kill ina hebel eyo ina hebel eyo ina hebel? Don't they know this is not how it was meant to be? Only the peasants were supposed to be the cannon fodder. But now that they're killing our aristocrats, we demand a revolution. Come on all ye Somalis, join me in the deafening chant of: SAVE OUR ARISTOCRATS. -
^^ Though the quotes are probably correct I wouldn't rely on memri too much for most of my info if I were you, saaxib. Red Sea means well and, with time, he'll choose one group over another.
-
^^ I think he was put off by the lack of a bomb making stand in that list.

And truth still stands - No Somalilander in SOL has either the knowledge of the lands in question nor the aptitude to defend his position when questioned (except for one whom I have in mind, and he too lacks the geographical knowledge). Therefore, at this level, I do not trust in their ability to engage in a meaningful discussion that may unearth any monumental information or enlighten the average SOLer. They all either diminish the debate with few ill-conceived words of contempt and censure or admonish everyone of hate or fabricate stories that are beyond the realm of human comprehension or hopelessly regurgitate age-old lies to assist them in the discussion. Its only a discussion, my friends, only a discussion! Bring your wits to the table, not your Calaal! Beautifully Written, again.

Heh. Loved the PM to Cara there. A&T, did you check if you 'in box' is full or not? If you sent me a PM, I really didn't get it.

When my uncle Riyoode comes back to us maraqiisaan furun ku dhuuqsiinaynaa. NG, Bashiir Goth did not write that article but if you want the source go www.awdalnews.com I think Mr. Goth has been brain washed or he got some incentive from the "Somaliland government". He does not represent Awdel community and most of us know that he is full of it. Bashir IS the editor of that site. As for the Awdal community it is really your (and LL's) word against what is real and taking place. Bashir Goth is brain washed. Riyaale has sold out. The people of Awdal are choosing peace over rebellion, etc. Notice how dodgy all these excuses (nay protests) seem in the face of the REALITY that Awdal is happily a part of Somaliland?
-
^^ Point still stands. Care to help her out?
-
Lois Lane, I go by facts. Do you have any facts to support this 'greatest majority' claim of yours? As far as the whole world knows the people of Awdal have no problem with being part of Somaliland. Unless and until they clearly say otherwise, this is the only acceptable fact. But why am I listening to you anyway. You're not from there.

Didn't you like my vision of Somalia, Bokero? It must have been the feather dusters, right? Hmmm... I agree, too aggressive.

LG, LL is not even playing yet. She's saying the people of those parts are unhappy with the celebration of the SNM's deeds but refuses to say how and in what way these people are displaying their unhappiness. She needs to give me some beat for my dance, darling.
