If a Nobel award was to be given for stubbornness, Che would have been an acclaimed laureate not an angry nomad exchanging salvos with a Xaji from Baligubadle, itself from the fringes of Somaliland. I can understand if hurt pride and anger dictates our reaction to the Kenyan deception (with the blessing of Mahiga’s UN) on the sea front, but I fail to see how genuine nationalistic feeling about infringement on sovereignty can be relevant when the issue is about foreign troops entering Somalia. As we speak, Puntland and Somaliland are under the command of Addis Ababa, some areas of central Somalia are occupied by Ethiopian army, Liyu police in Somali region can enter and kill civillians at will in Buuhoodle. What is new about Kenya entering Somalia? The TFG itself is an instantiation of loss of sovereignty. If at all, I believe we can stomach short-term shame for a better day if the incursion contributes to the weakening of Alshabab in the south. This is not to reverse my rejection of this incursion, it is merely to state the reality in an honest manner. My position for now is determined by pride and therefore I say no to Kenyan attack; but let us not fool ourselves there is sovereignty to keep in Somalia today. The right analogy is the seasoned bedhopper woman who moans hard and feigns pain to convince an amateur lover of her virginity! Finally! A brilliant breakthrough for you, saaxib. Very few Somalis (and hardly any of the present company) are able to believe two such ideas at the same time. You still remain a typical nationalist.

  3. ^^ He should auction his old clothes for the famine victims. I bet a few people would love to get thier hands on that blessed black & white cumaamad he's got in the first picture.
  4. The article seems to hint at Farmaajo selling the sea out! Hmm, so that was his achievement after all? p.s. A&T is a typical nationalist.
  5. ^^ War I even made the "why did the chicken cross the road?" joke when it happened. Fell on deaf ears, as you'd expect.
  6. ^^^ Where in the world does a car drive at 100 mph only to come to a sudden halt becuase a chicken was crossing the road (not to mention all the other animals)? The holes in the road will drive Juxa crazy.
  7. ^^ Arooska Abu Qori Al-Kanadi miyaanad ka qayb galin barigee aad Al Shabab taagiiri jirtay?
  8. ^^ Maya. These days even "other" convicts go to Somalia to marry young, pretty and fully jilbaabed girls. Wax fahan.
  9. I'm actually surprised that you would find a convict who is free to propose to you. The Somali way is for convicts to go home and marry prettier, younger and less judgemental girls than those found in the West. Who says crime doesn't pay, huh?
  10. ^^ Kuleelkii Dijbouti ayaa ka fiican godadka Berbara@90 MPH.
  11. Juxa, don't listen to Norf. After a long flight the last thing you need is to be in car that's driving through the bumpy road between Berbara & H town. Go direct, even if it takes 24 hours says I.
  12. Waxa la yedhi, Julius Ceaser marka la gaaday so'aal kaliya ayaa laga maqlay: "Et tu brute?" But at least Ceaser loved Brutus and regarded him as a son. What I don't understand is the fuss over Kenya's invasion when (like those that killed Ceaser) many others before it tried to already deliver the death blow. Or, as the Arabs say "As the camel falls to its knees, more knives are drawn" but people here complain about every new knife that appears! Still, I'm not sure what Norf is defending and why he's making excuses for Kenya's invasion. Surely the point is, Kenya did it becuase (like all the others) IT COULD! To panic and wail at every new misfortune is just mad. After all, these are not isolated incidents. They are part of one big problem and it is that problem that needs to be sorted, lamented or ignored (not the latest country - including the Turks - to stick its nose in Somali affairs).
  13. ^^ Ever since my eldest began referring to me as "old man" instead of dad or aabo, I began to accept all age related jokes. Wax kale la kaalay.
  14. A&T, I believe the second story. The macawis in the first one was farfetched.
  15. ^^ I know I sometimes get a tad delusional but I have not reached the stage where I believe myself to be a moving vehicle, Malika. Yes it was on the pavement and my hip hurts now (a few inches either way and I would have been "riding" that bike myself). Juxa, dee you didn't answer me. Are you that kind of lawyer or are you a dull corporate lawyer?
  16. ^^ Dhinacan o rog ama dhinca kale o badal, waa isla iyaadii saaxib. Val did not come back yet. As for Liibaan, his is the same rant that Baashe used to sell me with his sacred "H" collective (though Baashe was more persuasive). Aniga waxaan ha ii ga iibin, adeer. Orodo reer LA iyo Xaabsade la hadal. As for failure of comprehension, I beg to differ saaxib. I got you just right and it pains me to discover that yours was all an act after all. Ilaa guurmaan kulaha C is E, adeer? Maxaad ka khashaafaysaa, ma Faroole?
  17. Has anyone seen Juxa? A man on a bike (not the motor type) crashed into me yesterday, can I sue him? Or is Juxa not that kind of lawyer? Morning all.
  18. ^^ That's actually exactly what happened (well, apart from dressing him up that is).
  19. Saalax;751646 wrote: Are Zimbabwean women that sex deprived. Read the story, saaxib. Nothing to do with being sex deprived. It's a business, of sorts. p.s. A&T, if you're going to get raped by a woman, Africa would be the last place you would want. You might not burn in hell but burn you probably will.
  20. I will vouch for A&T's position regarding Azania. He was never a vocal supporter of that fantasy state. However, I can also vouch that, as far as I can tell, A&T has never protested (not strongly anyway) against the AMISOM forces. His opposition has always been about Ethiopia and its involvement in Somali affairs. If, he happened to don the nationalist cloak along the way, it were merely to drive home the point for this opposition of his.
  21. Too soon to make a judgment if this is a good thing or not. Lets see how it pans out, o nationalists.

It's a sad day when our resident caaqil is so lost for words that he has to refer to Liibaan's rants for support. p.s. Anoon basha aqoon (as you claim) waa anigee kugo khasbay in aad karavaankii xumaa ka hadhid oo "Val isko qolo banu nahay" la soo boodid. Self awareness? Khali wali dheh.
  23. ^^ Be afraid, saaxib. Be very afraid. For when you think you did badly, she'll praise you and when you think you did well she'll throw a tantrum. Women are crazy like that.
