^^ Nothing. The media tried to make a story of it but Dalglish squashed it before it began.

^^ So EVERYBODY is lying and we should not believe anyone unless the source is confirmed by three awliyo? ---------------------------------- TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iranian deputy foreign minister said sending relief aid to Somalia would be stepped up if the country reopens its embassy in the African country. "The Islamic Republic of Iran's nation and government have dispatched aid consignments to Somali people and would provide aid to Kenya and Djibouti people suffering grave draught as well," said Hossein Amir-Abdollahian who is in charge of Iranian Foreign Ministry for Arab and African countries. "We are among the countries who first called for holding an urgent Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) meeting to help people in Somalia and African Horn and Iranian Foreign Minister visited Mogadishu to help people in the country." "Iran is continuing diplomatic measures and will step up the process of sending aid to the country after reopening the embassy," the official added. He reiterated that Iran hails a four-sided committee between Iran, Somalia, Kenya and Governments of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) in Tehran. Starvation claimed the lives of over 66 women and children in the famine-stricken Gedo region, located in the southern Somali town of Garbaharey. Physicians have called for urgent help for over 2,500 Somalis being treated in the region's health centers. According to local aid workers, thousands of families face dire living conditions in Gedo where daily clashes between al-Shabab fighters and Somalia's government forces have blocked access to water, food, and medicine. The famine and violence have reportedly forced hundreds of civilians to leave the region for refugee camps in Kenya. The drought and famine have affected more than 11.8 million people across Somalia, Kenya and Ethiopia. Somalia has been hardest-hit by what is described as the worst drought in the Horn of Africa in 60 years. According to the United Nations, it is estimated that a quarter of Somalia's population of 9.9 million are now either internally displaced or living outside the country as refugees. The UN has declared famine in six regions in southern Somalia, warning that the natural disaster would spread to all eight regions of the country's south. Despite an increase in international relief aid for Somalia, hundreds of people, half of them children, are losing their lives on a daily basis, according to the UN. Somalia has been without a functioning government since 1991, when warlords overthrew the country's former dictator Mohamed Siad Barre. http://www.isna.ir/ISNA/NewsView.aspx?ID=News-1855765&Lang=E

Who says women can't lead? Genghis Khan was a mad man but he almost ruled the entire world. Napoleon was a great leader but he too was a total nutcase. Even the fuhrer (who too was mad by the way) tried to rule the whole world. So, in short, women can actually become great leaders but they are also mad. Somali women are crazier than most.

Somaliland Flag in Mogadishu - Delivering Aid in Pictures

^^ The people recieving the aid will not care for stickers, saaxib. And anyway, you have to remember that Somali politics mimics everything else that takes place in the world. So when the Kuwaitis give aid and have a sticker on the side of their shirts, SL does the same too. It's just politics, saaxib. I bet even the TFG will do the same if it were giving out aid supplies. p.s. Waan arka in aad fogaatay lakin wali raaja jirta, markaad soo laabatid iska ogo in aan halkan kugo sugi doona. Nabad uun ku so noqo, meel habaar qabta ayaa ku socota. -

Somaliland: Egypt to open diplomatic office in Hargeisa

^^ I can believe the South Sudan one. Lots of effort and friendship has been invested there. Egypt sounds like a long shot (considering what's going on in Egypt now). -

^^ I understood the expression but it was an open goal for me dee. p.s. I doubt these guys care in whose name they deliver the help. For all we know, the SL government insisted that they wear the flags when doing it. If Hadraawi was into politics I and you are more than sure he could have played it much better than this (he has the tools after all). -

^^ If they were on the same wavelength as him he would have scored the second (Suarez had no right to try for that second goal, it's only his greatness as a player that lets him off there). War Carroll had a good game, don't ooh and aah about it dee.

He was involved in the first goal. Almost created another for Suarez with that cross from the left. Had a header come off the post and was free infront of goal when Suarez scored the second ( a short pass to Carroll would have surely been a goal). Overall, he had a very good game, saaxib. You and Ayoub, as you prove time and time again, don't understand football.

^^ Of course it is. After all, a government does not collect money from its citizens to use for humanitarian purposes (it normally pays it from its own tax coffers). But the Kulmiye adminstration is trying to take a ride on this civilian project and score some political points. Likewise, those opposing Somaliland are trying to make use of this opportunity.
