Darman, you are wrong indeed. No one is blinder than the one that doesnt use his head. If you made that comment to suggest that I don't want to see what all of u are seeing...then you are sadly mistaken. I do already see, I just choose to disagree

Or maybe Bush Jr run outta words in his limited vocabulary!

WHY black men desire white women so much
Reality Check replied to sYric-STiPHuLLa's topic in General
I've read something similar about black slavery... maybe its even from the same author. who knows! Truth: we should all just love eachother...not be fixated on color and have a goodnights sleep. The world is not black and white, we are forgetting about all the shades under the sun. Oh well, maybe I just don't give a crab about who else black/white/asian/peurtorican men like! as long as I know they still LOVE me -
^ KK, thats not nice sis! How do you the woman wasnt smaller...besides, he fled..what does that tell you? He looks like too many Somali folks...and has the name of many too..lol..good LUCK finding the dude!

uhm yeah..shukri, next time warn people before you post up pictures of died or dying people. Thanks

Miz unique, I don't think its people in the west that trasmit this disease...just look at Somalia's surrounding countries..if next door Kenya has a high HIV population..chances are Somalia will also be at risk. Also, Somalia is a worn-torn country...and healthcare is not up to par.. Besides, do Somalis even get tested back home? I havent heard of it personally..so there might be alot more people living wiht HIV than we currently know.

I think in order to protect ourselves from the AIDS virus is to have better education about it. It shouldn't be a taboo because no matter which muslim country you live, there will be fornicators and homosexuality. Therefore, what about the rest of the population who aren't both. They will suffer the consequences when they don't get the 411 on sexuality and all things related (i.e. condoms). I think it's necessary, especially for women, to have their future husbands and themselves to be tested (because who knows where the others have been really?). Not just for HIV but also for other VDs that are serious (syphillis, herpes). You can choose to ignore the rising problem or you can try to fight it before it becomes a problem!

African Student Associations needs you!
Reality Check replied to Abdinuur's topic in Developement | Projects
Kaafi, Its alot of hard work when you want to start a whole organization by yourself. Advertise for more people to join the ASA. then go to your dean of students office..and follow the procedure on starting out an organization and having the university recognize it. Otherwise, if you aren't recognized you cant do alot of things on campus. Let me know how it works with your endevours and good luck! -

Nur, this is what's wrong with the muslims today. When someone has a different opinion than the majority.....their muslimness has to come into question. First, I will not even bother to answer your questions. Do not ask me what I don't understand or do ...as if to say that if I did know the reasoning behind it I would be 100% agreeable! That's not always the case. In this case, I know enough about mahrams for me to say that I don't agree with the concept.
-
Ps: My theory is that the republicans came up with the concept of AIDS to wipe off the homosexuals in the states after the sexual revolution in the 70s. but then again, thats just my theory!

^ Sup girl! just watched the Oprah show too. It was quite moving! There have been alot of conspiracies when it comes to the origins of AIDS, but you can't deny that 3rd world countries don't have the access to the medicine that controls the HIV from becoming full-fledged AIDS. This is the problem in Africa, India and all the other economically-deprived countries. I don't know why other muslim countries are not addressing this issue. We should be educating ourselves from this disease...because ANYONE can get it! muslim or not! and the sad part is that it does not limit itself to promiscuous people!

Y'all have your convictions and I have mine. Ameenah, I didn't say women getting raped was a buncha crock sis. What I was meaning was that it is a buncha crock that men do the raping and we arent doing much to deter men from this behaviour..but we do with women. Just another way of thinking. I just think its sad that a muslim woman can't go to hajj without a mahram!
-
La di da.. I am not alien to islam and I still think this mahram Idea is a buncha crock. Look at it this way..we are telling women to have men escort them everywhere..why don't we spend enough time fixing the problem with men who take advantage of women? women shouldn't have to feel afraid walking during the evening in her own neighborhood. Since this isnt a just world..practicing commen sense is required. You don't need a mahram for common sense. Just don't go walking around dark areas during the dead of night..don't park in an empty lot, etc, etc, etc.. By the way, most crimes happen in the home or around your home...not when travelling! peace

Opinionated...there r no opinions on the fundemental issues of islam....its a way of life set by the Quran ans the sunnah....and i said many opinions..including the mentioned names, so evry1 ones contribution is valued bro. Sure you can have opinions on certain rulings when it comes to interpretations...just look at the 4 scholars! -

Reality Check replied to NinBrown's topic in General
Brown, Could you pls elaborate more on what you think is ignorance or anti-islamic? Or is it that anyone who does not have your thinking pattern an anti-islamic fanatic? and why is it that you only ask for certain peoples opinions on the matter? -

I think we're taking this a little too far, don't you think? Opinionated, I think it all depends on how the queen was brought up or the Islamic values she currently carries. People are not the same. Hijab is one of the few things both Sunnis and Sheites agree on. There is absolutely no question about its validity. If one distorts the interpretation of the Koran, there is always the Sunnah which is the word of the Prophet(pbuh). The Prophet(pbuh) clears up many things Alhamdulillah. [/QB]I know.

Khayr, may I ask why you posted what you posted? If you are trying to portray me in the wrong light by using that past thread, you go right ahead cuz I still think the same way. Somali caadi!

Open Topic 4 All: Clubbing/Ruwaayad on Eid Day...
Reality Check replied to Armstrong's topic in General
Mujahid, I was thinking of starting a topic like this cuz to this day I don't understand it. Yes we can have a get together on eid but not have parties where you are likely to commit more sins...especially right after the holy month..Thats hipocracy in my book! 1 -
Modesty, I agree! Sunshyne : Apparently they say that "showing your hair in public is like walking around naked" especailly in an enviroment where there are a alot of men. I totally disagree. Walking around without your hijab is not like walking around naked. I think we're taking this a little too far, don't you think? Cause you are insinuating that people who don't wear it are in fact walking around naked.

I'm sorry, I couldn't read the whole thing!

Aaliyah, He did admit at least. He deserves some credit for that.
