Salaamz, when I saw these pics, I remember the hadiths, subhanallah.... :eek: :eek: :eek: Among the signs of the Hour mentioned by the Noble Messenger of Allah - Allah bless and greet him and his Family and Companions - as narrated in the Arba'in of Nawawi is the Hadith narrated in Sahih Muslim: "you shall see the barefoot, naked, indigent (al-'ala) shepherds compete in building tall structures." Another version in Sahih Muslim states: "when the naked and barefoot are the top leaders of the people." A third version in the Sahih Muslim has: "when you see that the barefoot and naked, the deaf and dumb are the kings of the earth." Other similar Hadiths not mentioned in the Sahih Muslim nor in the Arba'in of Nawawi are like the one in Sahih al-Bukhari: "when the destitute (al-buhm) camelherds compete in building tall structures." Another version in al-Bukhari has: "when the barefoot and the naked are the top leaders (lit. "heads") of the people." Ibn Hajar said in commenting this passage of the hadith in Fath al-Bari: It was said that "bear-foot and naked," "deaf and dumb" are their attributes by way of hyperbole, showing how coarse they are. That is, they did not use their hearing or sight in anything concerning their Religion even though they are of perfectly sound senses. The Prophet's (s) words: "The heads of the people" means the kings of the earth. Abu Farwas' narration names the kings explicitly. What is meant by them is the people of the desert country, as was made explicit in Sulayman al-Taymi's and other narrations: "Who are the barefoot and naked?" He answered: "The Bedouin Arabs." Al-Tabarani relates through Abu Hamza, on the authority of Ibn 'Abbas from the Prophet Muhammad (s that "one of the signs of the change of the Religion is the affectation of eloquence by the rabble and their betaking to palaces in big cities." Al-Qurtubi said: "What is meant here is the prediction of a reversal in society wherby the people of the desert country will take over the conduct of affairs and rule every region by force. They will become extremely rich and their primary concern will be to erect tall building and take pride in them. We have witnessed this in our time as well as the import of the hadith: "The hour will not rise until the happiest man will be the depraved son of a depraved father (lukka' ibn lukka')," and also "if the leadership is entrusted to those unfit for it, then expect the hour," both found in the authentic collections."

Salaamz, What is the Hikmaah of these fatwas that u have with you, walaal? Postives -They will help people inshallah, to write out the salwat/tasleems and the salaams more often. Negatives -People are too lazy, and if I am not mistaken, if you make things too tough for the ummah, they will opt not to follow that thing. Example So, if I am writing a hadith or making reference to the Prophet (salallahu calihey wasilm) several times in a note say on SOL or in an essay and I can't write (S) or (S.A.W.) after I say Prophet Muhamed, then I am telling u this, I will think TWICE before I write something ISLAMIC. Its just too time consuming... -To write the entire Islamic greeting everytime, is also too time consuming and sometimes u're not in the mood to type all of it. So what happens then? Well, if I know something about myself, I'd say that I would stop saying the Islamic Greeting of (Asalumu...) and just say 'WASSUP r HI' to people that I would write to. Inshallah, the intentions might be good, but such harsh fatwas would do more harm then good, WAllahu Yacalim! Maybe the rule here is that if something changes the 'MEANING' of that word i.e. I'A-internet usuage for Inshallah or suppose u were talking to someone and u said the rasul and said (SAW)..THEN that would mean the Meaning of that WORD/SYMBOL has changed and that it is hard to recognize or associate with its original meaning. Salaamz, The other night I was driving and was listening to the local college station, when the Topic of Spousal Abuse came up. Well this old man called in, I'd say he's 50+ and told this story about how one night him and his girlfriend got into a fight (I think that they live together )/heated debate. So his girlfriend made a comment like 'I know of a way to get you out of here' and proceeded into her room. 15mins later, her boyfriend who's an old man (50+) hears a knock on the door and lo and behold, its the cops. They arrest him and charge him. Well, he informs the cops that he has never touched his girlfriend or any women in his life. There were no marks on the girlfriend and no proof except for a statments from her. So they decide to charge the boyfriend and lock him up for the night and take him to court. Time for the trial comes up, and the girlfriend tells the judge that she wants the charges dropped. Well, the court says that, the charges can't be dropped and that it is out of her hands. Anyways to make things short, the laws say that in the case of spousal, family abuse reports, calls to the police etc., charges can not be Dropped, regradless if the Caller/"Victim" calls in or comes in to court to drop those charges. So the Male, who is usually the Accused, is Charged and Jailed and sentenced (at times) without Evidence. Accused of a crime wherein there is No Evidence. Its like calling u a Terrorist and arresting you cause someone said you had a bomb on you just cause the didn't like you :eek: So, I was just wondering of any nomads that have had any experiences with Domestic disputes and these TYPES OF CALLS. I'm not trying to be a 'Macho', 'Pig', 'Xaasid', 'Women Hater' etc. but you know in Somali families, alot of sistahs use this threat of calling the Police on either their Husband, Cousin, Brother or any male etc. that they get into an argument with and shout 'ABUSE, I have been Abused' to the Police, and before you know it, the children don't have a Father anymore in the house or there is no more the presence of a Male in the household.
