The SNM community is brain dead. For the last few months, despite the deuterating situation, I haven't seen one single member of the elite or elders demanding for the resignation of Muuse Biixi?
They are either bribed, coopted or fearing something we don't know. Change of leadership after catastrophic failures is a natural as the air we are breathing, yet no one could openly say.

The opposition has some blame , but they were tricked by Biixi and company. During the 2021 election no one ever mentioned the holding of the political parties election before or during the term of Muuse Biixi. The parties should be competing under the new regime .
The parliament election had waited 16 years. The last one was 2005, and after 16 years and unending argument they all agreed to hold this with the municipal election. The opposition should have rejected. Since no one flows the rule of the game, no one asks questions in Somaliland.
Imagine you did hold parliamentary election in 20221 and one years later you hold the competition and eliminations of the political parties. If UCID loses, the party election, you would have 21 members who were elected but with no political affiliation. Isn't that stupid by it self. How could you hold three different elections in 2021, 2022 and 2023, the latter for president. It is impossible.
Muuse Biixi is guilty as charged. I could blame the opposition for being weak.
Furthermore, we told you guys when you crowned Ina Biixi that an unrepentant worlord would never bring peace or progress, but you went ahead anyway. Xaaji said he is our hero. We said electing him is like going back to the future.
When the Laascaanood issue begun we said, " resign and transfer power to your deputy Zaylici, get rid of the hate and start a new chapter, but the Xaaji just laughed off of that suggestion. Now the chickens are coming home to roost.

The most strange thing is that these Somaliland leaders had quasi dictatorial powers to build infrastructure and create credible institutions. As the election of 2021 in Somaliland concluded which was delayed for 16 years in terms of the parliament elections, Muuse proclaimed to hold two more elections within 12 months. The same guys who refused to hold elections in their time had promised two more quick elections. After 25 months no election had taken place.
So, for C/laahi Dani to claim to hold everything within the next five moths is a ploy to mislead the public and put the opposition in emergency mood. The best option is due it slowly and do it right.
Also, avoid the so called three qualifying parties which destroyed Somaliland and monopolized political parties.

I think there is a lot of propaganda from Hargeisa, Djibouti and Egypt.

Some kind of lease will be arranged. There could also be a security arrangement to build and equip our army.

Here is what the English dictionary say about the word " Compromise" :
"an agreement reached by adjustment of conflicting or opposing claims, principles" or a settlement of differences by mutual concessions.
In Puntland there was a contentious election since C/laahi Dani initiated a province wide one person one vote election. The majority of the people had welcomed this universal suffrage which has been delayed for more than two decades. Yet, a very small group of politicians based in Garoowe refused this inclusive election. In fact, violent clashes had taken place between the government and the clan militia that objected the election.
Each one of them had certain unmovable principles to object the opposite side. While it is difficult to oppose Dani as someone calling a wider public participation, his intensions were always suspicious. He had an opportunity to hold the elections early in his first year of his leadership, but decided to wage a campaign to replace Farmaajo and thrown the local elections to the dust bin.
The Garoowe group had prepared for the usual selections of buying elders. At the same time, the opposition to Dano happen to be his most loyal cabinet members. Dani had more advantage including that the people of Puntland hate the Garoowe opposition as rich spoiled oligarchs who feel entitled. Their defeat was apparent, but since this project was nurtured through compromise and consensus, it was difficult for many leaders to give C/laahi Dani a black check especially after his neglect of the Puntland issues for higher power. More clashes in peaceful town also doesn't bode well for Puntland.
Thus, both sides would get something from these constitutional moves.
First, the idea of 66 elders selecting the leader was abandoned while preserving both the principle of direct democracy advocated by Dani and the select small caucuses preferred by the Garoowe oligarchs. The number of electors will be 66 as demanded by the insurgents in Garoowe, but these 66 will be elected with the banner of a political parties. Each region is assigned a fixed number of seats like before, but will be elected directly by the people. In turn these 66 members belonging to different parties will chose the president of Puntland. Everyone is satisfied.
It is a great compromise. If this was Biixi with support of 90% of the people he would have destroyed his opposition. The mature Puntlanders decided to workout something with their opposition rather than vanquish them. The game will be played with the rules agreed upon and everyone will accept the outcome.
In Hargeisa, the warlord turned president has refused every compromise. Since the day the political disagreements started in the summer of 2021 just after the Parliament and municipal election, he never moved an inch. The opposition asked him to hold the presidential election which was away just over a year, but refused delaying and disbanding election commissions. When the business community worked out a compromise that would hold both the Guurti and presidential elections together, he refused again. When the parliament passed in new law to lead to compromise he refused. It is either his way or the highway. For six years he never gave the opposition for one single inch. Sometimes he hides behind the old fart Saleebaan Gaal, the commission or the court.
He forgot that this place had survived through a compromise.
History had shown the Maryo Allol had never brought peace or compromise. All they know is the barrel.
This time around they will get for what they wish.

He thinks everyone is just like his landlocked hungry guys from the east.75% of elected city council of Lughaya is ours including the mayor and our farms are in Wajaale and our buildings are in Downton wajaale for generations.. Jigjiga is ours and my own family farms are west of Gabiley.
Those who are ruling today are the criminals of 1988, the instigators of 1992 civil war, the Maryo Alool wars of 1996/96. The decisive battle was fought Tuesday in Maraaga. Small battle took at night where a dozen soldiers were killed, then SL tried to avenge and attacked. The SSC was waiting and defeated that force decisively.
The news from Hargeisa is that there was a conflict, open disagreements and even rebellion among the soldiers. A soldier killed one officer and each clan had its members regrouped. They were unable to fight or accept command. Moral was so law.
The Hargeisa command decided that they could no longer fight due to open conflict among soldiers and decided to pull out. They decided to pull out at midnight, but SSC leadership got an intelligence tip and attacked 4:00 AM.
if you look Goojacade, there was no burned truck shot by SSC or even vehicles shot by pullets. SL soldiers are scattered all over Sool and many were captured.
Yet, even if the pull out is true, armies don't retreat in that fashion.
