  1. Those girls are exaggerating the effects of shisha or like their shisha mixed with weed.
  2. There is no radical feminism in the Arab world, just some lost middle class girls who think it is cool to pose topless and the Western media label them as "activists". Feminism to me is ultimately about choice and access. To make your own choices in life and access services without gender discrimination.
  3. How about they get away from troubled cities? Somali parents should send their boys away to university in safer cities. 18 year old somali males cannot maintain the cost of a car even if they work, especially if they grew up in a welfare dependant house.
  4. Make sure i tell no one or I will end up broke or dead.
  5. It is hope that makes people go back to abusers, hope he will change and a need to work the marriage out. But i never understood women who put up with it for years and years, living on the edge because the person could flip anytime is not a way to live. Aden married a stranger, four marriages is not an easy matter to hide. Why is her name Aden though?
  6. Well at least she did not put up with the abuse and left him but to use FGM as a weapon against him when she is Somali is not clever.

    Women are mad!

"White people are mad" should be the title. How is a victim supposed to look like I wonder?
  8. The US criminals look destitute, our criminals in the UK have better appearance.
  9. It is not a general fatwa but a message to the Tv host Bassem Youssef, Islamists hate figure to cover his face because he is beautiful and compares his beauty to that of Egyptian actresses. People like him only serve to make Bassem more famous.

I really never understood why Somalis feel this closeness with black Africans who are gaalo cause most of them hate the Somalis with passion. I'm not surprised, as Somalis in SA have been suffering a similar fates for decades. I doubt you met most of black people or they have treated you with contempt. Xenophobia in SA is not limited to Somalis only.
  11. Those on twitter are a minority, majority i suppose support the guardianship laws. Women are minors to them regardless of their age.

They must be very small in number. The Somali youth activists I know have supported the Somali droughts, Syria and now Gaza. It is no use saying " i hate arabs", mosques all over the UK whether owned by Pakistanis or Arabs were fundraising for Somalis during the drought.

Islam forbids something for our own good and even if at times we might not understand the wisdom behind a certian practice due to our limited knowledge we still have to abide by it. I am only responsible for my own actions and intentions. Contact between the sexes is part of our daily life whether it is a doctor and patient or the guy sitting next to you in the bus, it happens all the time and we dont think about it. I view a handshake the same way. For someone not used to any contact with the opposite sex, then I understand how they might interpret it as sexual.
  14. It is all about intention, there will be old men who will use a handshake or hug to feel you up and young men who will shake your hand out of politeness, there is nothing sexual behind a handshake.
  15. At least it is not some pensioner after you. I dont know what it is about me, but I seem to attract the pensioners wherever I work.
  16. Thanks for the English translation MMA, always liked this song but knowing the lyrics gives it a whole new meaning.
  17. We cannot make blank statements where children are better off, all cases are different. But social workers try their best to keep children with their families because taking them into care is costly and it means separating siblings. It is just sad.

    Hair tips..

I use shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie on my wet hair to make it curly then I gently dry it, at night time I put castor oil on my ends. Chime Edwards from youtube is my hair idol because of the thickness and lenght of her hair.

So all you ladies should step up! Somalis live in overcrowded houses and would not be considered for forstering. In most cases families step up and children are placed with relatives. I think mental health of the mother is behind the reason children being take into care.
  20. I have only seen men cry on TV, it is a turn off for me and not a quality a man should have. Crying over your wedding, child birth is just silly.

  22. How come those guys have hairless legs? I am hairier than them.
  23. I cant bring myself to watch it. Does it happen only in some parts of Nairobi or all over the country?
