  1. This document could be genuine as the AU does not deal with Somaliland directly. Just like Somalilanders using the Somalia passport, the government of Somaliland should not shy away from using the federal government in Mogadishu to achieve its goals whenever it is necessary.
  2. Why are the Southerners in Somaliland called "illegal immigrants" in the tweet when they are not?
  3. Oodwayne is not telling the truth about the Baydhabo folks. There are not many women from the region doing domestic work in Somaliland (not that there is anything wrong with it), but the fact is most domestic work is done by girls who are usually related to the families they are working for. On the other hand, I heard that the Baydhabo folks have formed cartels to control Ceergaabo's businesses.
  4. Waaryaa Oodwayne, what is your problem with Baydhabo and its occupants? Apart from this fellow in SOL, the people from that region are generally better than most Somalis. I, for sure would choose to live with those folks than with almost every other clan group.
  5. Djibouti's questionable moral compass was recently also the subject of Boqor Khaakh's comedy video:

    What to do

No they are not from the same circle - one is a committed atheist and the other is religious fanatic who is selflessly devoted to the religion called majeerteenism. He is the high priest of this temple

    West Burco

Why just West Burco? What is Dabcadar upto talaw?
  8. For a dwindling number of people who view the world through clan-tinted lenses i, e the likes of saalax, galbeedi, and mooge, Somaliland and besha dhexe are one and the same. However, for the majority of the population including all those who were born after Somaliland's independence, Somaliland is what it is- the nation representing the multi-clan territories formerly under the rule of the British empire. I am sure Mr Oodwayne knows those are not the views of the HY clan.
  9. I think the only choice now Saalax has is to rejoin this forum with a different username and be true to his real identity. It is certainly easier to fraudulently claim American citizenship or any other identity than that of beeshe dhexe. Waar yaa ninkan u sheega in dadkan lagu dhex dhuuman karayn. Even Al-Shabaab failed and had to give up their attempts to hide among us.
  10. Galbeedi let us be serious for a minute sxb. Go to any mental health institution and you will find all sorts of well-educated men and women from good families. Madness knows no class, creed, wealth, or education level. It can strike the poor and the rich., the ignorant and the wise, the weak and the powerful in exactly the same way. Markaa ninyow bal hasii waalina ninka ee ha loo duceeyo.
  11. I am starting to feel sorry for this Martin guy and those who are beginning to see him as their messiah. I mean who in his right state of mind would believe a Facebook government which even my old nomad abti can easily set up in ten minutes?
  12. I have never seen anyone more deluded than this clown Even sultan Wabar was more believable, had better plans, and bigger balls than this social media "president".
  13. Shiekh Kenyaawi waa ninkaan la yaabay mar. Few years ago in one of his Ramadan lectures he could barely hide his racist views about the black people of Bantu decent. His expressions were as funny as they were shocking.
  14. @Ducalepeople with such views do exist in Somaliland and to be fair to them the blame lies entirely on the shoulders of the Mogadishu administration. The problem is, the Koonfurian government has a very nasty habit of claiming to represent ALL SOMALIS on planet earth- the French speaking maryoolay, the xabashi maryoolay, the kikiyu maryoolay, kuwii Africaba ka tahriibay, basically everyone . Just pay attention to their language next time you listen to or read the speeches of one of them. They call their administration "the SOMALI government" even though they barely control Villa Somalia, they call their uniformed militia "the SOMALI army" even though half of the armed men have another full-time job with Xarrakatul Al-Shabaab, haddii xero adhi laga furo Xamar they shamelessly claim that this is the first time since 1991 xero adhi laga furay dhulka Soomaaliyeed although we had xeryo adhi everywhere since time immemorial. So understandably, when we have a fat @ss amateur politician from the refugee camps in the west claiming to represent every living and dead Somali who were created by the Almighty while riding on a Burundian tank for safety, some maryoolay will justifiably resort to rejecting everything those fraudsters stand for.
  15. If that is the intention of this misguided militia then they will not last very long. In Buuhoodle everyone is armed, so if they murder a man for supporting Somaliland, that victim's sons, brothers, and cousins will have sleepless nights until they make sure that the killers themselves are spending the nights 6 feet under.
  16. As already mentioned by others, the Sayyid and his movement regardless of their initial well-meaning intentions, were as misguided and indiscriminately violent as Al-Shabaab and their psychopathic leaders are today.
  17. I just realised Mr Libaax programmed the site to change clan names into their somewhat equivalent location indicators
  18. Instead of glorifying bloodshed between neighbours and brothers, our resident political analyst- Oodka would be much more helpful if he urged the koofiyad baclayaal and the self-appointed amateur politicians who claim to represent West Burco Clan to calm down and not create fitna inside Somaliland.
  19. The word "Somali" and the identity it entails began to evolve into something like the word "Arab" and all that it stands for. For better or worse, the Somali people nowadays don't feel adequately represented by the "Somali" tag without some additions and descriptive extensions.
  20. Although I am very open to anything when it comes to the future political arrangements between Somaliland and Somalia, I do and will always support the will of the people of Somaliland. That said, I do dislike and oppose a lot of things about the politicians and politics of Somaliland including the completely unnecessary takeover of Tukaraq.
  21. Now that I have watched the video, it seems the Somalia ambassador(most likely from the South) and his staff have gatecrashed the meeting between the Qataris and Mr. Mo Farah and unashamedly presented themselves as if they represent him and he represents them. It must have been very embarrassing for poor Mo. He should have told them in plain English that he represents Great Britain and not their Somalia.
  22. Who is the resident ambassador? I suspect he/she is from Somaliland.
