1. http://www.aljazeera.com/news/africa/2014/12/somali-mps-vote-prime-minister-out-201412610147160270.html And down goes another Prime Minister. Now we'll see how Culusow treats the next person he appoints as his Prime Minister, and whether he'll go along with Culusow's agenda or not.
2. @somalee said: Truer words were never typed. The blue flag, the name Somali, the national capital and the entire Somali identity has not only been tarnished beyond repair but continues to suffer because of our HAG brothers. Few foreigners recognize the efforts of the good people of Somaliland and Puntland because everything associated with the word "Somali" has and continues to be effed by our brothers. It's been tarnished, but not tarnished beyond repair. Remember, there was a period of time especially in the 1920's, when the reputation of Gulf Arabs was extremely low. It's recovered dramatically since, and it can happen again for us. Some of our HAG brothers refuse to see how deep this problem is, and instead of admitting where they've gone wrong, they seek to undermine de-centralized autonomous federalism which is a solution to many of our problems. They seek to control the capital city, keep the capital city in Mogadishu, and then have a centralized state based in the capital city....effectively controlling the lives and affairs of the I-Block and D-Block and R-Block Somalis. It's insanity saaxib There's a reason why we (Tillamook, Mooge, and others) are so insistent on having a de-centralized federalist system in Somalia. It's because we witness the absolute dysfunction which exists in the South. And we never want to participate in this dysfunctional atmosphere.
3. @Alpha Blondy said: not surprised by this heinous crime. this is what happens when ethnic Somali women marry none Somali men. quite frankly, any mixing of ethnicities is destructive. how many more Somali women will be killed by none Somali men before this sicken culture comes to an end. I sort of agree here. I wouldn't say it the way you did. But I've noticed that when a Somali marries an Ajnaabi, especially one who is from North America and Europe, it almost always leads to early divorce, single parenthood, and spousal abuse. The fairytale wedding occurs, and then 6 months into the marriage, problems begin to appear. The problem often gets worse and worse until the marriage itself ends in a painful divorce and heartache. It's a pattern and a very disturbing pattern at that. There are extremely rare exceptions to this rule. The very few exceptions I witness is when a Somali marries a Berber or a Habesha. THAT'S IT
4. @Oodweyne said: So after all that guff talk about constitutional propriety, or the alleged legal irregularity in which the motion to remove the sitting Prime-Minister was said to be involved in. Or even after all that huffing and puffing about the notion of "Somali Patriotism" in which the political groupies of this Prime-Minister, like our Tillamook of SOL, were serenading us with, particularly, as to what motivating this PM to fight for his office this tenaciously. It seems that it comes down to cold hard cash to be the price of this PM political position, or that to be the price of his relenting from that alleged fight for "principles". In other words, this PM reminds me of that old Groucho Marx, who allegedly said, with no less of a solemn seriousness to all those who were observing him, that this is his principles, and if you don't like it (or if you have a right price in mind), then he could be persuaded to have other principles which could be more convenient to your liking. All in all, this is a fine example of why Somalia (i.e., Ex-Italian Somalia) is nothing less than a play-ground of an ending musical chair when it comes to it's political reality. And it's also a fine example as to why this never ending charade that passes for as the constitutional frame-work in which that place was supposedly ought to have been govern under it will always strikes you as if it had being deliberately invented so that politics of the place will be like nothing less than a "political auction-house", where the "crown" or the "prize" will always go to the highest bidder in any given day. We'd be better off if we had a Monarchy then have this poor excuse of a Government. At least a King would be able to achieve things no corrupt President or Prime Minister or Parliament could ever achieve
5. @somalee said: The list of things IS can do to this woman is endless. What gives her right to assume the moral high ground? She was a soldier in a military known for killing children and women. I call upon the IS terrorists to really take their time with her, and be very creative. Beheading is so overrated, this is the right time to give cruelty a new meaning. And I'm so looking forward to it! Are you actually advocating torture? Are you seriously kidding here?
6. @somalee said: I don't think we are in a position to 'set standards' while we ape them in many aspects of their culture but I agree there are many positive things we can contribute as Somalis. First being dacwah :-) That's very true Dacwah could go a long way :-)
7. @nuune said: Tallaabo, abti, xataa Maashaa Allaah waad quuri weyday miyaa, these boys, I think they number around 13 would be fit and enough to terrorize Kenya from the air, add another 13, then Ethiopia will be in danger, if you add another 13, then we are only behind Egypt and South Africa when it comes to who has the highest number of Fighter Jet Pilots in Africa, being third place is not bad at all. By the way, the Nigerian air force is experiencing the highest corruption of its time, the bloody corrupt system last month awarded Pilot License for Fighter Jets to 19 people, they never flew an aircraft, the result, loss of life and 3 figter jet accident this month. Hope the so called Somali Government avoids such things to happen. LOL Are you telling me that the Nigerians were dumb enough to give pilot-licenses to untrained people, and allowed these untrained people to fly multi-million dollar aircraft?? :D They actually trusted amateurs to fly extremely expensive military equipment. This is comical Is the Nigerian Military being run by nutcases?
8. @somalee said: The Italians/Ethiopians don't compare here and you know it. Unless of course they stayed in Somalia, took all the important jobs, outnumbered us, degraded us to second class citizens/subhumans etc etc. You seem to dwell on their current state of affairs (And I don't condone the violence and all that) while I happen to view it from a different perspective i.e., the historical factors that have led to the present situation. Lets agree to disagree here. That's true bro. Because we Somalis don't have a "victim mentality" which many Negroes tend to have. Somalis tend to be ambitious risk-takers who couldn't give a damn what any racial group thinks of them. We need to set standards for behavior and attitude. Making excuses for bad behavior is only going to excuse it, and make it seem acceptable. If you want this bad behavior to stop, you need to shame it and help Negroes change themselves for the better
9. MashaAllah. The Somali Government should introduce conscription, it would go a long way in building the National Army/Navy and fostering a link between the Somali Military and the local Somali civilians
10. @somalee said: The actions of the people of this town that you've described are obviously abhorrent and unjustifiable, but they are very understandable. Its relatively easier to pass judgement when you lose sight of the root cause of this whole incident. This goes way beyond the shooting of one or two young black men. The black community has been pinned down by the system for far too long and they have endured years of systematic institutional violations of basic human rights. Every bad thing you see within the black community: gangs, violence, prisoners, aggression etc etc are a direct result of the way they have and continue to be treated by the government and the white people of America . Yeah, I'm sure the White People of America is responsible when "Tyrone" or "Jamal" decides to rob a liquor store, or shoot another Black person in the face. I'm sure of that! Do you hear yourself when you speak saaxib? Do you have any idea how absurd that sounds? Are we as Somalis, gonna blame the Amxaaro or the Italians for our civil war? Or are we gonna blame ourselves, and our utter inability to engage in cooperation and dialogue? So when it comes to Somalis, you demand personal responsibility. But when it comes to Negroes, you make excuses for their bad behavior and blame the "Evil Racist White Man". Stop treating them like children saaxib. You know very well, that this type of approach NEVER works. To claim that the 45 million Negroes in America are utterly incapable of uplifting themselves because someone else is keeping them down, is to candidly admit that they are children with no control over their own lives. "Slavery" did not make Tyrone burglarize a house, or steal a car, or stab someone. He did it because of his own bad behavior. P.S. Just to let you know, the crime rate amongst Negroes in America was far far lower in 1920 than it is today. So tell me, did "racism" not exist in the 1920s? It's an illogical argument all around. P.S.S The term "Negro" isn't offensive. I'm just using this term, because I want to distinguish them from Black Nigerians or Black Senegalese, Congolese, South Africans, etc. I'm specifically talking about the Negroes of the United States.
11. This is so completely strange and absurd, I don't know what to say. But I can believe that Culusow is probably taking this political turmoil really hard. He's full of cuqdad and hatred when he discusses political entities/politicians that he doesn't like. I remember how he was shaking in anger when the interviewer asked Culusow about Puntland severing ties with the Federal Government :D Now this whole confrontation with Baldy has probably pushed him over the edge. He really needs to get himself together. Miskeenka
12. Erdogan, the greatest President/Prime Minister alive today.
13. Imagine we have fast-food restaurants in Somalia, where they serve camel burgers instead of chicken burgers :D I'd like to see how a "camel burger" would taste.
14. These Khawaarij terrorists are like a cancer, infesting a host nation and sucking it dry. Wherever they go, whether it's Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Nigeria, Syria or Iraq, these xayawaans are guaranteed to cause some serious damage
15. @D.O.C said: Oooh this forum has changed so since I logged in last time, fortunately Cantarabaqash still going on strong. Alphy and Co full respect. Only a complete and utter narcissist like Alpha would have a forum page dedicated solely to him, where he chats nonsense for 834 pages. And this thread has been going on for TWO YEARS. Alpha uses this forum and this particular thread to feed his ego, that's all. I can see right through this character.
16. @somalee said: This is extremely unfortunate. The filthiest, most morally corrupt Somali men and women are found in the UK. What bothers me most is that these utter scumbags might come back to Somalia one day. That's true. A large number of British Somalis visit Hargeisa often, corrupting the locals and teaching them how to behave in the worst manner. I've seen this first-hand with my own eyes. Somali parents send their troublemaker son or daughter to Somalia, usually Hargeisa because it's the best city in Somalia, and then these British Somalis introduce the locals to the worst aspects of Western society; sexual promiscuity, marijuana and alcohol usage, gangsta rap, etc. Somali parents had a hand in this, they wrongly assumed that by sending their awful children back to Somalia, that they'll reform and change themselves. Instead, what often happens is that the locals are poisoned with a disgusting, destructive, foreign culture.
17. What's worse is the severe backlash that will ensue in the Somali community in Britain. Already, a couple of my cousins/friends in UK have told me that Somalis are being harassed in London. Some Somali local businesses actually shut down their operations for a week or so, in fear of retaliation by local vigilantes. People in Britain, especially white people, are furious about this entire situation. To see 13 Somali scumbags kidnap and sexually assault these young women is something that has pushed many British men over the edge. Somalis were already frowned upon and disliked in Britain already. This situation has made things much much worse, unfortunately. It's hard right now being a British Somali. May Allah make it easy for the Somalis in Britain, ameen.
18. The question becomes: What would Abu Bakr or Umar or any of the early Sahabah do if they were faced with this situation? What would they do to these 13 criminals? They would execute these 13 degenerate criminals, immediately. China, India, Saudi Arabia, Iran and many other countries wouldn't hesitate to execute these types of men. My guess is, the ultra-liberal justice system in the UK will probably hand these animals only 4 or 5 years in jail. And then they'll be released. And the cycle will continue...
19. @somalee said: A Somali who fled to the US precisely because of these things he's accusing the blacks of, and perhaps even worse. In fact worse because in our case there was neither centuries of slavery nor racial prejudice. Painting the entire black community as inherently stupid is not only stupid in itself but also very hypocritical, especially coming from a Somali immigrant. Are you trying to tell me that those in Ferguson who destroy their own community, loot the businesses, set fire to multiple businesses, and harass civilians are not "children in adult bodies" Please educate me "somalee".....how would you classify these people? P.S. And BTW, maybe you haven't been paying attention to my posts on this forum. But I'm very difficult on Somalis, and even on my own sub-clan. I--and many other members here--have criticized Somali behavior many times on this forum. I don't act as if Somalis are perfect, we have our own set of deep issues which we need to fix. But on the whole, Somali-Americans are far better-behaved than the people you see in Ferguson (which is NOT indicative of the entire Black-American community, but a prominent subsect of people within it)
20. These Black-Americans have set fire to dozens of businesses, hundreds of cars, and ransacked the entire town of Ferguson. Ferguson is in pieces right now, and the damage in the city is unbelievable. What I don't understand is where is the logic behind destroying and rioting your own community simply because you didn't agree with the jury verdict? Where is the logic in harming innocent business owners who had nothing to do with any of this? They've looted liquor stores, destroyed supermarkets and hair-salons. They've stolen thousands of dollars of electronic equipment, set fire to multiple businesses and destroyed countless convenience stores. They have even stolen thousands of dollars of Air Jordan Nike shoes. What makes anyone want to invest in these communities if this is how they're gonna behave whenever they're upset about something? They're like a group of children in adult bodies. They have absolutely no logic, they can't connect dots. They don't see how these vicious actions will have dire consequences for their community.
21. Yeah I remember seeing that video a couple months back Hasina :D However, I don't agree with some of what he said, and I didn't like his tone either. I looked into this case pretty deeply, and the autopsy reports/eyewitness statements agree with the Officer. In fact, 8 different BLACK eye-witnesses all testified that Mike Brown attacked the Officer, reached for his gun, and was charging at him. The autopsy reports (showing the bullet entry wounds confirm this as well) Yet Black-Americans refuse to accept this reality. It's sad this guy is dead, but let's not pretend that he wasn't the one who was charging at the Officer. This is the reason why the case was dropped. I hate police-brutality just as much as anyone else, but this incident is NOT a case of police brutality at all
22. CidanSultan isn't the brightest bulb in the room, if you know what I mean. I keep showing him over and over how destructive and evil this ISIS group really is, but he's not listening. All he does is go on rants talking about how "evil" the Iranian regime is, or how bad the Americans/Zionists are. As if that has anything to do with the topic. In CidanSultan's eyes, 2 wrongs definitely make a right.
