Xaaji Xunjuf;888825 wrote: Oday who are the people who are involved from gedo can you name them, is general diini involved to Where did i say its wrong or right that they are involved i just named the people who are pushing the Jubbaland agenda and the politicians who are behind it. Yes he is involved albeit behind the scenes, so is the Prime Minister who made his statement today. Do your research on that. Bottom line is this, there is a concerted effort by the Government(which has climbed down from its previous position and now working within the constitution) and the locals(who have also climbed down from their opposite position and want to have Somali solution) to create something long lasting that has the local suport. Something is cooking as we speak, so how about you let them do their thing?.

Brother I dont appreciate your attempt to create divisions here amongst communites. Grow up

  10. Ok People, lets try and keep things in perspective shall we?. The president has the right to speak for the people of the whole of Somalia. It is his constitutional right and i personally support him wholeheartedly in that. I have seen enough of our sovereignty eroded the past 20 years and feel quite patriotic!. Having said that the President himself is naive in thinking he can ignore the constitution when he likes and quote it when it serves him. The constitution is there for all to use as guideline. It is the only thing that will separate us from the Clanist system that has so far destroyed us the past 20 years. He should use it as the foundation of his Governing style. He took an oath to uphold it and as long as he sticks to it, no one can and should have any issues, furthermore he will have the constitution to protect him. He was naive, maybe didnt get the right kind of advise, bottom line is he made a huge mistake, not to mention the fact that his comments in Beledweyne and Baidoa where he asked those communities to form their own administration and at the same time announcing he will form an admin for Juballand didnt help matters in a country that has seen tribal warfare the past 20 years. He should be cultivating "trust" not creating mistrust!. Naive....yes, does he deserve to be lynched yet?, I think not. Lets give him an opportunity to redeem himself from his mistake. Lets face it, he has had a huge slap and doubt he will be making the same mistake. I could be wrong as this are Somalis afterall!, but for the sake of the Nation lets hold him to account but never forget sight of our Sovereignty at all times.
  11. Abtigiis;887426 wrote: This afternoon President Hassan was calling IGAD member countries left, right and center, demanding apologies from Kibaki for the aborpted mission he sent to Kismayo. None of that is a problem. But how can you tell a foreign country "colonel reer hebel ah baa na hor istaagay anagoo dawladii qaranka ah" to Djibouti President, who then calls other IGAD members and the US and europeans and fumes that his "general" was refused entry to kismayo by colonel Hassan who is from clan X. I mean, as someone senior here remarked, what is wrong if a colonel who is X clan refuses entry to a general from E clan, who is offering succor to fellow clan under the guise of national government?! The whole thing stinks. What is worse President Hassan is calling non-D members of the Jubbaland adminstration who are in Nairobi and telling them to leave because the project belongs to reer-hebel. I have no interest in smear politics and as a human being i don't like to put names on other human beings, but what else would you call a President who can go so low?! I call such a Leader a Tribal Warlord!
  12. walaalkis;887404 wrote: Can you Give me the link that any time government refused this , of course they should govern thier property but at this time there is no official maamul in kismaayo only few militias under Kenyan flag . The goverment is doing what they were elected. They can't let kenya chose to who ever they went as leader , this the job for Somali people. Kenya ,should leave out of this and let the Somali people have thier own solved . Somalis are deciding themselves, or do you only consider somalis when it is coming from the Constitution defying president?. Excuses like "Kenya should be out of it" is so lame that even a child can see through it. djiboutians are helping the people of Hiiraan in the administration building, Those Ugandan Forces are doing the Same in Mogadishu and it's home counties, Ethiopians are doing the same in Baidoa etc. Your argument doesnt hold water. I dont need to provide you a link brother, The Man went on National Media and clearly stated "His government will arrange the administration in Jubbaland, but those people in Hiiraan and Bay/Bakool can form their own administrations". That statement was contrary to the nation's constitution which he swore to upheld and no amount of sugar coating is going to change that. Furthermore his actions since then has been in support of earlier statement as I stated above!.
  13. Does the President know He is the Leader of the Nation and Not his Tribe?.
  14. walaalkis;887388 wrote: I don't think this president will let down his people , all Somalis. This is Somali problem . Let everyone live in the area come together under Somali goverment. As much we did select the goverment in Somali soil , we should solve this within our borders . we should not let our enemy take sides and start another bloody civil war. Last thing we need is suffering of Somali people in all sides. It's fair for the goverment to call the shots since they were the people who fought Alshabab in most of the southern cities. So far , we were forward . what you forget brother is that he is "supposed" to be the Leader of the Nation, not the regional states or Mayorship of Towns!. These lowrr regional administrations are for the locals to make up and decide and guess what The Constitution Demands that!. He is spitting on the very constituton he swore to upheld and is Going against it. As of now, he is unconstitutional!
  15. I said as much as Abtigiis the other day!. This Gentleman residing at our beloved Villa Somalia is a major Tribalist if ever there was one. He is sorrounded by more of the same and it is no suprise this is the end result. I can see him going to make official complaints to every office in the UN and other offices including the arab League, IGAD and AU. He will be busy spreading the message of hate all around casting entire tribes as being against him when he is the one that is instigating this tribal Warfare. I said it yesterday and I am saying it again. It is 1991 all over again The People Of Juballand, and all their supporters should start looking out for themselves. This Government does not represent them in any way. The parliamentarians are being threatened now each day with violence if they dont tow the line
  16. This thread is depressing me by reminding me of all those undeserving fools I had been wasting my money on the past oh,,,,, 15 plus years!. My Advice Narniah is this; Give, for it is baraka to give and I can testify to it because all that I gave, I got back and then some!. However give smartly. People back home will call you and make up so many gut wrenching stories, that you will feel obliged to give. Consider the following in your plan; 1. The elderly. This group, particularly if they dont have a support system are extremely vulnerable 2. Orphans- Make sure those that you send the money to help the actually deliver on this(So many greedy people out there) 3. Mothers raising kids- Particularly if they are married to a poor man or divorced and have no support network 4. Your own "Walid", Grandmothers, Abti's, Adeer's whom you feel are needy. Not necessarily in that order mind you. Good Luck and May Allah accept your Sadaqah

I said he "pretty much" lives there?. In politics you dont end up "pretty much" living in an office especially if you are the former President unless you are wanted and needed there. His role in this is clear in the outcome, but if you are asking me to post a documentary evidence of an appointment of him to a post, then you wont get that and dont expect such an office to be that foolish as to offer the world such an opportunity. Advice usually can be seen in the way he acts. His actions so far is a continuation of Abdiqasim's policies in the same way George W Bush's actions were a continuation of his father's policies and completion of the "job" that wasnt finished. Hear say?, maybe, but in the world of politics your track record is all you have and sadly this chap in Villa Somalia has already tainted his track record
  18. Abwaan;887100 wrote: lol@Odey, may be your eyes see something that Abwaan's don't. I do not like Abdiqasim as a politician so you might at least win my sympathy if you proof that Abdiqasim is an advisor to president Xasan Sh. You said immediate family? Who are they? His cousin? uncles? Nephews....We need names and proof, otherwise this is just another character assasination. As far as I know this president is not even close to Wacaysle ee ninyahow eedda aan jirin waa laga fiican yahay. He is close to Damul-Jadiid. Is that his clan? Abdiqasim pretty much lives in Villa somalia.....proof enough for you?. If you need more go to Villa Somalia The minister in Question is not Wacaysle, but rather his ABTI?..... Do the math brother. I cant do it all for you.
  19. Xaaji Xunjuf;887095 wrote: Oday are you saying the prime minister is clueless and a puppet No XX- The PM is quite capable, but he isnt fighting back in regards his role and so far the President seems to be wearing the pants here. The division of power between the two offices and roles are not evident
  20. To blame someone for the shortcomings of another is unfair so fellas leave Abwan alone!. Having said that this president sadly has really dented my hopes for the nation. He has sorrounded himself with only his immediate Family and advisors are and include some seriously controversial individuals such as the Former President Abdiqasim and other equally divisive figures. The sad part is that he had the support of the whole country and is ruining that goodwill support he had. To make matters worse he has taken Nepotism to another level by appointing his own Maternal uncle to the post of a Minister of Resources( This is a super ministry created that includes the Fisheries, Farming, Minerals and energy). What is he thinking?. He doesnt stop there,.....he hasnt even managed to get his list of Ministers (and lets not beat about the Bush he is the one that appointed them not the PM which in itself is unconstitutional)ratified by parliament and he takes the advise of some seriously sick individuals and starts Tribal Alienation by Giving his Tribe the right to Make up their administration(as in Hiiraan, Galgadud etc) while at the same time saying "He" will arrange an administration for the people of Juballand. This is 1991 all over again and it is the President and his cronies who are ones instigating this. Lets call a spade a spade.
  21. The parliament should focus on "THEIR" job first!. A few things come to mind such as why the Government is not planning to forward a complete Government to the Parliament as the constitution states instead of the bits and pieces they are planning to do. Where are the deputy Ministers and State Ministers?. Secondly it should be busy bringing the leadership to task and asking them why they are circumnavigating the constitution on issues such as Administration building etc. There are serious issues at hand and should not loose sight of it. Kenyan forces are in the country, so are Ethiopian, Ugandan, Burundi, Sierral Leonne, Djibouti. This nonsense about Sovereigny is ridicoulous!. They should start focusing on the things that matter. A government that doesnt respect the constitution will in turn come to disrespect the Parliament tomorrow. They must act now and ensure they serve their people by being the balancing act to the Government not looking for silly answers such as " why did your delegation get their behinds kicked out", Look at the underlying issues, the root causes if you like and its all in the constitution!.
  22. lets face it, the reality is that the new president under the guidance from the remnants of the old JVA such as the former president abdiqasin Salaad and NGO collegues considers Juballand a threat which he feels must be neutralised.. The team he sent was hastily arranged and was intended to countrer a planned international delegation that was coming to the region in the next few days. This delegation would have come over for fact finding and see the will and wishes of the local population in as far as setting up an administration is concerned. once this delegation came, no doubt they would have seen a very strong will by the locals to set up their admin themselves as the Constitution states.. This in turn would have meant the following; 1- Kismayo with it's port and abundant natural resources includinh oil, farms livestock etc would be very powerful economically and they wanted that in their hands. 2- Being an NGO Government, they knew that the funds earmarked for Juballand had been going straight to Mogadishu the past 4 years and a Jubballand admin would see those funds diverted to the region and will be their loss. In order to stop this from happening he sent in a delegation consisting of Djiboutians(in order to call it an international team), and individuals that have no connection to the region. This issue has nothing to do with Governance or Sovereignty for that matter, but rather pure GREED. The people of this region deserve to govern themselves at a local level and set up an admin that speaks for them as others in the country have done. The president and his team should start acting responsibly and abide by the constitution they swore to upheld, or maybe I am expecting too much?
  23. I see something else here. This Lady is a certified Somalilander who believes in the Project that is "Somaliland". Her track record says it all and the Admin in Hargeisa is worried that she might not be acceptable to the people of Somalia given her views. To make her acceptable they are trying to distance themselves from her so she can land the job and get ratified by Parliament. She is a Trojan horse if ever there was one. Have no doubt, she will further the cause of her people whilst holding this very important role that can bring her in contact with all that matter for the cause. Actually, credit where credit is due, it's a brilliant move by the Hargeisa Admin!.
