  1. Ina Lilahi Waina Ilayhi raajicuun. Ilaahey samir iyo iimaan ha ka siiyo Dhaman shacabweenaha soomaliyeed oo u ka dhintey, khaasatan shacabka Puntland oo u ahaa Madaxweene Kuxigeen.
  2. Salaams people. Why do you all feel the need to rubbish the grievances of a huge chunk of our population?. Come on, Respect their views, they obviously feel strong enough about their need for their own state. Constitutionally the have a right and if they feel they arent getting their rights, then a protest(peaceful) is a legitimate way to air their grievances. I welcome a different view from our public. Tan labaad, nin xil qaadey, eed qaad!. El Presidente no doubt has a thick enough skin to withstand criticism and no doubt will open his eyes to the needs of his constituents. The correct course of action is to sit down with them and work out a way forward together. Those of you that keep rubbishing other people's grievances, lets not forget the constant protests you had( and that includes me) against Abdulahi yusuf, some of you had protests in London against the London conference last year (reer Somaliland), so why is this any different?. Stop being hypocritical people!
  3. Possibly even promised him that puntland's cut wont be forgotten?
  4. This is a Valid question that needs a great deal of soul searching especially by the Communities that make up the majority in Mogadishu. Ideally as the capital city of Somalia ,anyone, provided he/she is a Somali citizen has a right to be elected as the Mayor of Mogadishu. Sadly though the issues that our country went through the past 20 years and the ignorance that has taken hold means that such an endeavor may not be possible today. Change MUST take place, however real change can only come from within. I believe a good education via all the Mediums such as TV, Radio etc where debates are held in which this point is made clear to the locals and their responsibilities as hosts to the Nation is drummed into them will in my view create such an atmosphere. Educating them is the key. We have to roll back the tide of Ignorance. I guess the same could be said for the rest of the country. People everywhere should be educated on the right of a citizen to live, work anywhere in the country with his/her rights protected. This is not a short term plan.

Only Allah knows the truth, but that story is widely believed in Xamar.

Your friend is correct, both your eedo and abti's kids are refered to as "ilmo abti iyo ilmo eedo ayaanu nahay".

HAG That's just it, NO ONE won!, We all lost and if anyone needs proof that we all lost you just have to look at the state we are all in, as refugees across the world and having foreign forces propping up our OWN governments the past 6-8 years and before that just bloodshed. What exactly have you won Mr United?, you lost your brother, the one that would have been your right hand, those that would have been protecting your back. Is that your victory?. You need to all Grow up and see the reality. It is precisely this kind of mentality that lead to our downfall. Our divisions allowed others to take advantage of our situation and abuse us constantly. Stop seeing your brother ort your backyard, see the WORLD instead and you will stop seeing your brother as an enemy! I wish I could have you all in my bootcamp!. Two weeks and you will see the reality!
  13. United Somalia, Can you please stop pretending to represent my Clan!, yes we had issues with our brethren, but the past is the past and we need to move forward. Reconciliation is the way forward and your views brother are outdated and certainly unwelcome! It is people like you who give whole Tribes a bad name
  14. United Somalia;904634 wrote: Honestly is the views of Che relevant, LOL If his views were relevant than the Al-shabab that he loves would still be in power today It is the views of the people that matter and we all have supported and loved Sheikh Shariff, a national Somali hero Easy now, you dont speak for " The people", because that will include me and I most definately do not share your many views brother. My record is clear on this, I personally never supported Sheikh Sharif. It is my choice and for my own reasons even though he is my clansmen. I disagreed with him on many issues and i agreed with him on some. The same applies with the Man you cannot stand, the late President Abdulahi Yusuf. I disagreed with him on many things, but I also agreed with him on many other steps he took. Bottom line is this: As somalis we often label our leaders and pigeon hole them into certain categories. Instead of doing that we should pick on specific points we each disagree with and justify them. After that, you also need to come up with an alternative to what you disagree with. Opposition without offering a viable alternative is no opposition at all. Ignoring to acknowledge the good things one does only belittles you .
  15. You guys need to understand the real reason characters like Xaad and Diiriye always play the clan card is so they can still be seen. As we move away from clan warfare to a more institutional systems and arguments based on that, these guys see their days numbered. As such they are crying out " We are still here"!. Their comments in my view have no bearing on the issue and the key players here will be the Government( in all it's forms) and the institutions being created in that region to sort things out. It is my belief that they will do so and a deal will be struck as both need each other to succeed. Common ground will be found in the end.

Surely people can say what they need to say in an objective, logical, perhaps even rational manner( I know the latter will be hard given the current mental state of our citizens) without resorting to insults or name calling. It really makes me see RED!

The man was a warlord who had blood on his hands And yes he used ethiopains to commit genocide on another Somali clan You are missing the point!, my issue with your comment was in the words you used and if I may be more clear you called the late President "********". That is the issue. I am neither defending or supporting him, I am simply shocked by your insult which is unbecoming of a gentleman!.

Someone makes an outrageous claim that tarnishes the name of a well known family without providing a shred of evidence, and the only people who speak up against it r fellow clansmen/women of the accused family. Y aren't other sOlers just as outraged....both these men were national hero's right? And I wonder, would the posters above me come to the defense of general daud if the tables were turned? To answer your question- Yes, I would leap to the defense of General Daud anytime any day, why,... he was a national Hero and for the record I am not the same clan as President Abdirishid Ali Sharmaarke, if anything I share lineage with the late General.
  23. According to this deranged individual and to quote this article he posted "upon development of the Somali Defense Forces, he was promoted to first General and Commander and Chief of all military service branches. He is known as the father of Modern Somali Military and worked tirelessly to further the cause of the forces. General Daud died in 1965 Moscow, Russia during military training." I guess the late President of Somalia who at the time of General Daud's Death was not even president had such far reaching powers that he could murder someone in the Soviet Union?. Puh Lease! This is so lame and so obvious in it's intent that I am amazed the Admin even lets such trash on the forum!
  24. What a load of rubbish!. Can you please stop trashing the good names of the deceased?
