Submited By hadhwanaag : 2007-10-05 Labo kuu daran mid dooro. The Hargeisa SNM gang is now caught in between a hard place and rock. If they soften their insistence on reaching the colonial border in the presence of an “international reconciler” (what a thanksgiving present for Zewani!!) and the inquisitive monitoring of the global media, the fight over Sool will simply be considered tribal skirmish. However if the madness of dismembering Somali Republic and the policy of “liberating Sool, Sanaag and Cayn” from the “occupying aliens” and thus putting them back in the control of the secessionists so that the chance of getting recognition is quadrupled, if that tall policy is pursued in the Addis talks, the delegation of SNM gangs will be sent home with a “cease and desist order”. RIyaale is really an SOB. In this round he really outsmarted the rest of the crew. He knows the eventuality. He has seen Mele Zewani’s dark room. He knows he needs a relief from becoming the goat whenever he tries to explain the Ethiopian Foreigner Office’s instructions to the rest of the gang after his frequent arrivals from the visiting the dark room. I think the best option for them is to keep fighting not in a “defensive” but an “offensive” mood in order to “circumclose” the border. It is now or never!!

  7. [10/2/2007] DAGAAL WAAN JECLAA XAAJO AAD DIB UGU AY-DAANE Ma jirto cid aan laga helayn dad dhuuni-qaata yaal ah oo ay wax walba kala wayntahay manfac aduunyo oo gaaban, umadda karaamadeedana u duugaya si shilimaad kooban jeebka loogu geliyo, taana waxaa tusaale inoogu filan sida maamulka Hargeysa ee isba gabay dadkiisii dhaqaale iyo daryeelna meeshuu ka joogo aynu ognahay uu ugu guulaystey inoo kiraysto dad reer Sool ama Sanaag ah oo guryahooda dab qabadsiiya, shacabkoodana gumaada, ummada soomaaliyeedna u horseeda kala qaybin iyo gooni goosi. Sida taariikhda soo jireenka ahi qeexayso xalka keliya ee ay leedahay in dadka noocaasa la daweeyaa waa in lala dagaalamo oo inta caafimaadka qabtaa ay xanuujiso lana dareensiiyo in dhimasho ka sokayso qaadashada soorta quudheed. Reer Sool waxaan jeclaan lahaa inaan xasuusiyo dhacdadii Dhahar ee kal-hore taasoo ceebta iyo guul darada ay la firxadeen maleyshiyadii Dirta waqooyi ee ku hamiyey inay dhul Ingiriis iyo talyaani xukumi kari wayeen ay ku qabsadaan Maleyshiyo Beeleedyo aan awoowayaashood dhiiranaan jirin. Nabada iyo deganaashaha waa wanaagsan yahay laakiin ninka geeska afrika ama Soomaaliya ku nool waxaa la gudboon inuu waraabe noqdo si aan waraabayaashu u cunin. Dadka SSC waxaa taariikhdu dhigtay in ay ku caan ahaayeen geesinimo iyo quudhsi-diid, waxaana wax laga xumaada ah in maanta dadkii uu ka dhashay, Cali Dhuux Aadan, Ismaaciil Mire, Aadan Galaydh, Cali Duulane, Cartan Boos, iyo kuwo kale oo fara badan ay maanta raacidyad u noqdaan oo ay soo kiraystaan kuwo dhimashada ka door bidi jirey buur ay fuushanaadaan iyo Beero ay dibi ku qotaan. Waxaana igu soo dhacay gabaygii Aadan Carab ee uu yiri “War Yaa Yiri Dhulbahantihii Hore dhalay Ragaan Jooga!!!!” Iyadoo lagu jiro Bishii ramadaan ee barakaysnayd ee dadku cibaado iyo Alla kacbsi ku foognaayeen malayshiyada Dirta Waqooyi iyo kuway cagaha ku xaadhaan ee u soo biyaystey inay dhiiga Muslimiinta daadiyaan waxaa diinta islaamka ku cad in cidii la dagaalanta ee ku dhmataa ay Shahiid tahay sida uu rasuulku CSW ku yiri xadiis saxiix ah “Man Qutila Duuna Maalih wa cirdihi Fahuwa Shahiid” oo micnaheesii yahay ninkii Maalkiisa iyo Sharaftiisa ku dagaalama waa shahiid. Gabagabadii, xalka keliya ee gobolka uu leeyahay waa difaac iyo dagaal aan naxariis lahayn oo lala galo kuwa gunnimada qaayibey ee Riyaale abaanka u noqday, waana inay u dhintaan hungirigooda taariikhdana baal madow ka galaan. 8. That depends on Geed. If Geed and the parliament o.k. of what Cadde is doing, I think the law of the law is respected. But if Cadde hauls himself into Dubai hotel room and entertained by colorful slides produced by Aussi crooks with ratios to him it is “madmadoowbe Alla ku yaaqna”, that is not the interest of Somalia and he is unknowingly leading Somalis to death and destruction
  9. You are talking about money and investments. I think unless this issue is left for the Federal Government to handle, we will get death and destruction. Somalia is weak and bleeding and doesn’t need any more tangled and complicated clan disputes that will come from resources exploitation unless it is administered wisely.
  10. We have to say to Cadde Muse: stop it, stop it. The Somali national resources should come under the jurisdiction of the Federal government. Cadde’s private club and a couple of Australian high school dropouts can not rob the Somali people blind. In this day and age, even uncultured village boys (tuulajoog) understand the value of any discovered oil and gas resources and will fight to death if their share and the share of their community are not indisputably paid in advance. How would some one make them understand it is o.k. that some Swedish, Australian, Kuwaiti and U.A. E. nationals have to be given 99% of any income from any discovered oil and gas in their habitat because someone wrote that in a piece of paper? I think the Australian investors are not being given the true picture of the political risk factor of investing their hard earned dollars in the northeast of Somalia. The only possible way to exploit the natural resources in Somalia is through a comprehensive plan administrated by a central or federal government and agreed by all the sectarian communities in the country. Otherwise wherever someone digs with the permission of another person there will be someone else who will make a claim on the land being dug. ----------------------------------------------- Andrew Trounson Tuesday, September 25, 2007 IT is hard enough to have promising oil exploration in strife-torn and chaotic Somalia, but it doesn't help when it is situated in a region named Puntland. It is no surprise then that Peter Landau, a director at Perth-based Range Resources, likes to pronounce it "Poontland". And it is a punt that Range is keen to make given some theories that the rich oil and gas resources just across the Gulf of Aden in Yemen also extend into the horn of Africa where Puntland lies. Range, and its Swedish-backed Canadian-based partners Africa Oil, are closing in on drilling in January their first well in the prospective Nogal Basin of Puntland. That would mark the restart of exploration drilling since oil majors such as Amoco, Chevron and Conoco fled the country in 1991 as civil war broke out. But in the lead-up to drilling finally starting, Range is having to weather fresh uncertainty over the surety of its concessions in Somalia. The relatively stable semi-autonomous province of Puntland is in a political dispute with the Ethiopian-backed titular Transitional Federal Government in Mogadishu that is battling an Islamist insurgency. At the centre of the dispute is TFG Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi's move to bring in a national oil law that risks overturning Puntland's own agreements with Range. The stand-off has weighed on Range shares, which have virtually halved since late July from about $1 to 52c. That values the explorer at about $92 million. In Range's favour, the Puntland Government is refusing to countenance the proposed oil law, and could threaten to secede. Unlike the neighbouring Somaliland province to the west that has declared its independence from the TFG, Puntland has so far maintained that it wants to eventually remain part of a newly constituted Somalia and with it its potential oil wealth. Nevertheless, some big interests are at stake. Mr Gedi has enlisted Kuwait Energy Co to help draw up the new law and is planning to establish a national oil and gas company in which KEC and Indonesia's PT Medco Energy Internasional would share a 49per cent interest. It is unclear how the new law would affect Chinese state oil giant CNOOC's agreement in July to explore in the Mudug region of Puntland. Range's partners Africa Oil meanwhile are negotiating to bring in third partner, RAK Gas of the United Arab Emirates. According to Mr Landau, the more companies that become involved in Somalia, the more likely that agreements and rights will be respected. "We want as many people as possible because the more vested interests in there the better," he told The Australian. Nor is Range letting the dispute get in the way of its plan to take out a listing on London's Alternative Investment Market, which it said on Monday was on track for the end of October. Range has a 20 per cent stake the Nogal exploration effort, with Africa Oil farming in for 80 per cent by spending $US45 million ($52.1 million) to drill four wells. Mr Landau said any stake granted to RAK would come from Africa Oil's holding. Somalia has no proven oil reserves but is rated as highly prospective. Range believes the Nogal Basin has the potential to host 2.2 billion to 10 billion barrels of oil. Brokers Intersuisse last week rated Range a speculative buy. 11. ^^^ That is what they say called simple mindedness. I guess you are not aware that you are comparing, how they say it, apples and oranges. Arabs are as unique as Somalis? Isn’t that laughable? I do not need answer from you. Where is your friend NGONGE? I call him your friend because he is not 1000% federalist but sometimes talks sense
  12. Guys, I have heard a rumor. This confrontation is going to be soon over because Xaabsade has been offered an ambassadorial position in the TFG foreigner ministry...and president Yey has personally phoned him telling him to come to Mogadisho ASAP...

  15. From the post above والوحدة see how strong they believe in the Somali unity. With the gazillion tons of American and European legal tenders they have they can make difference for Somalis.
  16. ^I was trying to but you said stop it. ^^^ Why Saudis would help us? As a matter of fact they have already helped Somalia by freezing the secessionists in the northwest right in their tracks. And for that I have undying gratitude for them, Eebe ka sakow.

  18. arab news JEDDAH, 17 September 2007 — Somali leaders signed a landmark peace agreement here yesterday. Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah, who witnessed the signing, hoped the agreement would herald a new era of peace and prosperity in Somalia. The signing ceremony took place at the Conference Palace here and the signatories included President Abdullah Yusuf Ahmed, Prime Minister Ali Mohammed Gedi and Parliament Speaker Adam Mohamed Nur. “I am very happy to welcome you in your second country, Saudi Arabia, and we congratulate you for reaching a historic and honorable agreement that will save Somalia from its tragedy,” the king told the assembled guests and delegates from Somalia. King Abdullah highlighted Saudi Arabia’s efforts to bring about a peace agreement among Somali factions. “By the Grace of God, an agreement has been reached in this holy month and this will close the bloody chapter and open the road to a bright future,” the king told the gathering, which included several Somali clan leaders. The king reminded the Somali leaders of the importance of implementing the accord. “All articles of the agreement and its rules should be strictly followed and serious efforts made to implement them. I am confident that you are capable of making this agreement work.” The agreement was signed at the concluding session of the Somali reconciliation conference, which was held at the Conference Palace in the presence of Crown Prince Sultan and other senior Saudi officials. The reconciliation conference in Mogadishu was held to end infighting among Somali factions that has wracked the East African country ever since the ouster of President Mohamed Siad Barre in 1991. The Islamist-led opposition, which held its own conference in Eritrea last week, boycotted the conference. In his speech at last night’s ceremony, President Ahmed thanked the Kingdom for its efforts to lift Somalia out of its present situation. He underscored the deep-rooted relations between Saudi Arabia and Somalia and thanked African countries for providing support against opposition groups, whom he described as dissidents. He said about 3,000 people had taken part in the Mogadishu conference. “No to war, yes to peace. No to bloodshed and yes to reconciliation,” said the Somali president amid thunderous applause from the 400 tribesmen and tribeswomen representing different clans. Although from the same country, every single participant displayed the disparate colors of the nation by donning a unique attire. Some had colorful caps, others had colorful turbans and the women wore colorful abayas. The conference hall was filled with Somali delegates, who punctuated the speeches of the Somalia president and the prime minister with their unique clapping style. As soon as King Abdullah entered the hall all the delegates were on their feet with their hands raised in accolade. The king responded in his trademark style and the signing ceremony began. The Somalis said that Saudi Arabia is a very important country to them because of the Kingdom’s help at difficult times. The president, premier and the speaker showered fulsome praise on the king for taking a leading role in bringing the Somalis together. The president said: “We need Arab and African peacekeeping forces in our country under the aegis of the United Nations. Peace in Somalia is paramount because a lot of security issues in other countries of the region are directly linked with security in Somalia.” Premier Gedi said: “We have seen enough bloodshed. We are still in this swamp and we want to get out of this miserable situation, and the coming together of all the tribes is indicative of their yearning for peace. “His (the king’s) heart beats for the Muslim Ummah, and because Somalia is a Muslim country and Saudi Arabia is linked to Somalia by the thread of religion, the king has great interest in seeing peace reign in our country. He’s a man of peace and we came at his call to listen to his advice, and to his instructions and directives. He’s the leader of the Muslim world and his word is law to us,” the premier said. Later in a statement, Saudi Arabia urged the Somali groups to abide by the agreement and support the assurances given by the Somali president on replacing foreign forces with Arab and African forces under the supervision of the United Nations.
  19. daar alhayaat daily Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has described the Somali pact as historic.. read it in Arabic
  20. One thing is for sure. Sh. Sharif has reacted hastily and without further ado to the pact signed under the supervision of King Abdulla. He should have insisted only that Ethiopian troops have to go home. But to question the legitimacy of TFG and the results of the Somali Reconciliation Talks is just a farce. No Islamic emotional outburst is going to help him or help Somalia. The world sees that TFG was formed on a foreigner soil with the participation of more that 2500 Somalis three years ago. The world sees that main opposition the Alliance for the Liberation of Somalia has recently been conjured up abroad but with far less number of Somali participants (300-400 persons). The world sees Somalia has been the problem child of Africa for the last 17 years during which she has become homage for humanitarian disaster where anarchists use the power of gun to settle political, economic and moral conflicts the result of which millions of Somalis have been killed, maimed, starved to death or forcefully relocated from their habitats. The world sees that more than 17 conferences were financed by the international donors for Somalis to seek solutions for their political confrontations and to recreate public institutions for a federal government. The world sees that all other political conceptualizations and formulations failed Somalia except the weak TFG. The world sees that she is the only thing Somalis have at this moment and the international community is supporting her. Sh. Sharif the leader of the alliance can not see or does not want to see that King Abdulla’s endorsement of Yey and Geed’s government is a score for the TFG that will be hard for them, the opposition, to beat. I say to them let us talk sense….
