Truth be told this is not just Puntland propaganda. Xaaji is right in saying Ileey has gained more support than any leader from beesha in recent memory, that is the truth. He has started construction work in various parts of the region, Jigjiga looks like a regional capital, more universities and healthcare centers are being opened now than anytime in its history. His work against the secessionist also won applauds as they were expanding. What does Puntland have to gain from Jigjiga other than trade, in political terms it has very little to offer. In Jubbaland however it is more favorable that they win control of Kismayo, because otherwise we know who it will go to, and it isn't just that they are unfavorable to Puntlanders, they are favorable to Mogadishu above all and have a historic track record to bending the knee. I think you are reading too much into this Xaaji in thinking Puntland is behind this. Abtigiis himself is a supporter of ONLF, today ONLF is a a weak and and ineffective group. I've seen and heard former fighters with my own eyes, the truth straight from the horse's mouth so to speak, and there's nothing good to be said of their current state or strategy. No one speaks more unfavorably of the group then their former fighters. Therefore his linkage of Puntland and the hysteria surrounding Jubbaland is nothing more than an act of desperation. :eek:

I am not speaking of Khaatumo or Ras Casayrs existence or lands they claim, but this is a political map that's why it is wrong. For example Puntland's official map includes Sool but it is not like that politically.
