It does make him a tribalist, AIAI wanted to conquer other parts of Somalia while its leader aligned itself with USC during the civil war. Dahir Aweys has had many instances of clan references apart from his actions. Also lets look at the facts here, they are in exile for a year and a half, they get elected by the warlords themselves whether it was in a pig farm or not isn't relevant, I don't know if it was but connotation to it makes you seem at a lost to respond genuinely without irrelevant additions.. As for Kismayo, Kismayo wasn't the capital. Mogadishu was unsafe but all in all, it is summed down by this quote from WardheerNews. If the Mogadishu warlords are rejecting Mr. Abdilahi Yusuf Ahmed's government, it does not come as surprise. The simple fact that he is for peace is why they reject him. The anti-peace, anti-democratic, slave-owners of Mogadishu warlords rejected the governments before this one, Also, Aweys and Aideed were in contact, you ought to listen to people who were there, I mean you even deny that SNM and Siilaanyo wanted to push for secession from the get go but I know people who were there in person during meetings in the early 1980s. During the fighting of Al Ittihad, SSDF didn't know who they were up against, they found out later by accident. As for your views, the ICU was largely made up of a clan sympathetic to the secession of the northern regions and would have been more favourable than the current TFG, that's a logical way to look at it, seeing that facts aren't getting through your skull.

Never liked him but he is the man who turned MSNBC around. Good luck.

I've stated several times, this man should call Faroole for he is now a full person after the abolishment of 4.5. I don't know why he keep drawing Faroole but it is in a sense a tribute that Faroole is a heavyweight in Somali politics.
-
He was elected by the people who were in control of Mogadishu before the ICU took over, he couldn't have gotten elected if it wasn't for those people all hailing from the same clan. Mogadishu's peace was avail when their agenda was revealed, why did the ICU go for Galkacyo? I would like to know that, it's a city governed by others, peaceful yet they went for it. Also, Hassan Dahir Aweys has a track record as Al Ittihad in the early 1990s tried to take Bosaso and expand into Puntland. In fact Abdullahi Yusuf was captured by AIAI men and Hassan Dahir was also there, when he ordered the killing of Abdullahi Yusuf but he wasn't killed because the AIAI men realized why he wanted him dead. Dahir Aweys was in contact with Aideed during the USC's expansion. I just want you to acknowledge something; - Do you agree that your support for the ICU or partly your support is clan based and was because it might have been more favourable to the secession of Somaliland?
-
Your view is irrelevant, federalism has been adopted since 2004 and will be fully implemented on August 2012.

"We need evidence". This is why we can't agree. The warlords BECAME Islamists, that's the underlying point. When they saw that a government was established they counted this by starting a fake Islamic organization. The reasons it was fake I have already stated and you didn't seem to counter them, whether it be the reallocation of properties or hiring known criminals and warlords, and the worst fact of them all, the man fighting for the ICU in the name of Jihad took the seat of the man he was fighting only to continue his legacy. Sheikh Hassan daahir aweys is a principled man he said it himself Ciidamadi xabashida iyo ciidamadi shisheeye aan ka diiday cabdilahi yusuf ka aqbali mayo Sh sharif war cad weye. Colonel Abdilahi Yusuf and geedi under the command of Melez zanawi and general gabre disrupted the peace and stability in Somalia they made thousands of people homeless and refugees in neighboring countries and in ceelasha biyaha. Abdullahi Yusuf was the recognized leader of Somalia, they didn't want to own up to the fact that he was from another clan so they used religion to further their political goals. NEVER has this happened before, who uses religion to further political goals like that? Sending poor kids to die for nothing. All of those people died in vain because we are now doing the same as before. I mean, I have simple evidence that the man fighting the cause is now in Abdullahi Yusuf's shoes, how this is debatable I do not understand. And the thousands of people that died are on the people who fought the government just like now it is on Al-Shabaab.

Xaaji Xunjuf;812150 wrote: Ethiopia got terrified when they heard a home grown entity was being established next door i will tell you this there were some elements with in the ICU who were hardliners but they were not close to Shabaab.Even though shabaab is like the ICU only on steroids, keep in mind the war against international terrorism was being fought at that time we are talking about 2006 2007. The US State department assumed Al Qaeda the icu were loved in Mogadishu they very popular more popular than the Shabaab of today. Isn't indho cade part of the so called TFG army of today look how the ICU was split indho cade joined the TFG Aweys joined Shabaab he had his little xisbal islaam before he allied him self with the Shabaab sharif is the TFG president. The ICU needed some good foreign policy and good lobbyists in the west but they didn't they turned into the Muqaawamo the armed resistance against the Ethiopian forces led by General Gabre. Other members of the ICU fled to asmara Eritrea's capital some later defected to Djibouti and voila you have the Djibouti accord of 2008,it's like a never ending cycle. The TFG doesn't hold itself to a higher standard than people who's whole purpose in power is to spread the religion of peace, so the appointment of a mafia like Indhacade proved their motives. Further proved by the fact that the ICU announced the people from other parts of the country should stay in their areas i.e if people were to be killed while claiming back property they couldn't take responsibility. It was a clan based organization and its expansion into other parts of the country which were governed illustrated its motives. As for Ethiopia, Ethiopia got involved because the TFG would have fell in Baidoa and they then went ahead and destroyed the whole organization. Al-Shabaab was the armed wing of the ICU during the insurgency but initially they didn't have power. But why are the people who were in the ICU now Al-Shabaab the exception being Sheikh Shariif who told kids to put on vests and fight in Jihad. The ICU only began because of people like Hassan Dahir Aweys who used religion in the name of politics, they were even pictured wearing khaamis, him and his "tribal leader", as if they were the House of Saud. So all in all, Abdullahi Yusuf was right, foreign intervention was needed to quell the opposition, which is why they recognize this now, and that is why even his worst enemies today realise that what he did was right and that there wouldn't have been a war if it wasn't for the ICU starting an insurgency. The blood is on their hands, starting a movement to undermine the newly elected government. And the reason you are against Abdullahi Yusuf is because the destruction of the ICU was the last point for Somaliland to have recognition for secession.

The Garowe Principles are being implemented accordingly and is on schedule.

What has been miscalculated, that a thuggish government that would have set us back a few hundred years wasn't installed? Their agenda was clear, even to the point that they appointed people like Indhacade, why would they appoint men like that if they had a "religious purpose"? The truth is people are now waking up the fact that we've wasted 5 years on tribal fighting masquerading with a religious coat, when we could have had peace right now. The man fighting the Ethiopians in the name of jihad has now admitted he was wrong. Abdullahi Yusuf was vindicated before he died, that is bothering you. And every bit of the country was under TFG/Ethiopian control and what I sense from people like you is that Sheikh Shariif is in control of the country when Ethiopians control the cities but Abdullahi Yusuf wasn't when they controlled the whole country. Your logic is illogical.

Maddeey is angry because Dahir Aweys and the suddenly-turned-Imams failed throughout their lives while Abdullahi Yusuf would win even if he fails. He made sure that an Islamist government doesn't take over Mogadishu and send us back a few hundred years, that alone makes him worthwhile. Imagine people like Maddeey in power, using religion for every cause, I mean we've seen it before but full power, it's the scariest thought. Legendary Abdullahi Yusuf, proven right once again

So who destroyed it?

As for Yey and 77 war, its like one who took ablution but pooped himself just before finishing!, go figure. "Sheikh" Dahir was chased out from Bosaso and the mountains of Sanaag as well by Abdullahi Yusuf and General Ilkajiir. I mean, this guy has been chased throughout his life. He always gets screwed in his own game, whether it be Al Ittihad, ICU, Hizbul Islam and now Al Shabaab. I wonder what's next?

What's there to hate on, that's my point? The picture is too small to read.
