Holac replied to Old_Observer's topic in Politics
What the Oromo government says and what the Oromo lynch mob does are two entirely different things. -

That is honorable. For the first time, Oodweyne is advocating for all Somalis in Killil to be protected from the mayhem that is about to ensue even if takes the crazy man by the name of Illey to do it. Knowing that Illey is not from your Beel, and is a man accused of killing your own Beel in the Kilil, you are more pragmatic than I ever thought you would be.

Somalis need allies and I am sorry to say but Oromo, a group that is hell bent on seizing Somali villages because they think it belongs to them is not going to be our natural allies.

We SOLers have been beating up on OO and his Tigray boogyman for a while, not realizing the alternatives could be catastrophic. The final hour is here and the news is not looking good. The Somali region needs to be protected and at this time, we need a mad man to minimize any coming genocide against our people. Let us pray for the Somalis in the Kilil.

Good for the Sanaag people. Sanaag fell behind the rest of Somaliland on development and this new discovery could be a boon for that area.

Why is Galaydh dining with the Opposition?

Good on him for not placing barriers.

Mr. Biixi is getting a lot of pushback lately. That cabinet announcement must have been a disaster. The old man wasted a golden opportunity to correct deficiencies after the election debacle.

Djibouti's booming nightlife scene — fueled by foreign militaries Many locals are also concerned about a growth in prostitution that they link to the influx of foreign visitors. At the turn of the century, prostitutes here were mostly Ethiopians working “to help their families back home” who would return to their nation after a few years to start afresh, says a restaurant owner on condition of anonymity. Now, the restaurateur says, many Djiboutians with local family support — and often no dire financial need — are turning to prostitution in search of what he calls “easy money instead of hard work.” http://www.ozy.com/fast-forward/djiboutis-booming-nightlife-scene-fueled-by-foreign-militaries/83447

Mr. Hoosh may or may not be the owner of that piece of land today, but the larger issue of justice and fairness needs to be addressed. I listened to the video and the guy speaking (37 minute) is literally threatening Hoosh ... as if saying "we will kill him if doesn't stop the protest."

Do you see why non-beesha-dhexe clans would be hostile towards the very idea of being a Somalilander? For secessionists, clan ownership often supercedes the concept of nationhood or citizenship. It is the big elephant in the room.

"Dhuu" in Somali is pronounced as "do" in English. "Xo" is close "Ho" if the "X" can't be pronounced by the foreigner. I am gramgram myself but that is what I learned from my parents.
