that may be worth up to £20million  £8m to be exact and £20m based on: appearances for club and country trophies won, PL, CL, Cups etc so dont get all up you arses, good player but lets just wait and see, the best way to judge a player is to see him play week in week out, tell u the truth the only footage i say of this guy was last year when he scored and his team mate bit his private parts while they were celebrating, yuk yuk , hope this aint repeated at Highbury,,,,,, £20 million? my ar$$ --------nal

^^^read my previous post, the bit in bold,,,,,doesnt make it right and acceptable i know, but guidlines were in place on the treatment of slaves, now are there any other such rules/guidlines in relation to slavery? Slavery existed and still does whether you like it or not, but at there was recognition in the importance of not abusing abusing those slaves with the aim of phased eradication,,,,,, I don't think everything was THAT pretty and nice back in the day. my point exactly

thanx for illaborating,,,,superiority indeed is something many have become blind to,,,, Islam laid out clear guidelines defining the rights and status of those still in slavery , not so that such rights and status would be used as an excuse to perpetuate slavery, but to gradually carry the phasing out of slavery to its ultimate conclusion: its eradication. this is where the confusion occurs,,,,,thanx for the link,,,,,,

So the q here is, is slavery acceptable in Islam? We all know about racial slavery and where it stemmed from, arabia. So no need to elaborate on that any further. Now, as for the question in hand, i'm sure slavery is prohibited in islam. We all automatically precieve slavery to be ie slave ships (amistad), cotton picking western type atrocities. The important thing is to defrenciate between slavery galo style and slavery through islamic ways. There are rules on how to treat your slave. ie treat him as your brother. Will read up on it ia,,,,, Libaax, with due respect bro, i think the Hadeeth was more on racial grounds than slavery. Very interesting debate, carry on, be careful and please no sillyness

*****aykuma Salaam Nadia and welcome to SOL, hope u enjoy the site,,,,, any of you nomads go to madrasas to learn the Quran or are you too busy with college/university and work? Personally i'm the latter, i know its bad but thats the truth, leaving home early and gettin back late is my usual day. Having been at an advanced stage when i was younger i must admit that i have fallen off the pedastall. Madras is more for the younger generation, my problem is not memorising as when i hear the 1st couple of verses i tend to remember the Surrah and recite it. My problem is pronounciation which is what tend concentrate on at the moment. I have found the easiest way to do this to listen to a tape while driving.

Moti says: sxb northerner is there a way someone can change his sign lol, u can cliam a different year like most somalis do and keep saying to yourself i was not born in 71 Anyway yr in good company Famous boars include: David Blunkett the ignorant british home secratary who has said amongst other things that we shud speak english at home, he has laid the foundations for police to brutalise us, Sean Bean - actor Goldeneye, Lord of the Rings and from my home city and Michael Parkinson - the racist TV personality who did that famous interview with Mohammed Ali.

You know You are Asian when... * When you tell your parents you got 98%, and they ask you what happened to the other two percent. * There is a sale on any item, you buy 100 of them. * You make tea in a saucepan. * You never buy bin bags, but use your saved grocery bags for it. * You put your clothes in suitcases instead of wardrobes. * You have a 'Singer Brother' sewing machine at home. * Your mother has a minor disagreement with her sister and doesn't talk to her for ten years. * You call an older person you've never met before "uncle". * You hide everything from your parents. * Your mother does everything for you if you are male. * You do all the housework and cooking if you are female. * Your relatives alone could populate a small city. * Everyone is a family friend. * Everyone always called you for help on homework. * You study law, medicine or engineering at university. * You were thick so you studied computer science or business instead. * You know no one who has studied music. * You went to a university as far away from home as possible. * You still came back home to live with your parents after you had finished. * Your best friend got married at the age of 18. * You like the meat well done. * You eat onions with everything. * You use chilli sauce instead of tomato ketchup. * You fight over who pays the dinner bill. * You say you hate Indian films(/songs) but secretly watch(/hear) them * You avoid public places when with a member of the opposite sex, especially if there is an acquaintance within a 250 miles radius. * You always say "open the light" instead of "turn the light on". * You secure your baggage with a rope. * You're walking out of customs with your trolley at the airport and you see all twenty-five members of your family who have come to pick you up. * You get very upset when airlines refuse to accept your luggage which is just 80 lbs. overweight. * You go back to your parents' country and people treat you like a member of the royal family. * You ask your dad a simple question and he tells you story of how he had to walk miles barefoot just to get to school. * Your Dad drives a Nissan. * You're rich so he drives a Mercedes. * You are ALWAYS taking off and putting on your shoes wherever you go. * When you were little you always wondered why your English friends waited until after breakfast to brush their teeth when you did it first thing in the morning . * To your English friends, oil is used purely for cooking and not as a grooming aid. * Your parents have nicknames but only because people they work with just stop when trying to read their names. * You have annoying nicknames like Chotu or Chicku. * Your parents call all your friends "Beta" (son). * Your mother measures wealth in gold and diamonds . * Your parents drink 3 cups of tea a day. * Your parents compare you to all of their friends' kids. * At least once a week your mom says, "I want to go to India/Pakistan". * No one ever seems to call ahead of time to say they are coming over for a visit. * Your parents worry what other people will think if you're not going to be a doctor/ engineer.
