  1. Aaliyah kaliyaa labaatan Londoners u dhiganto...Wax fahan soo kumaan oran dee?
  2. Minorities? We're the ones who run this joint sxb...Just cuz majority of the Canadian-Somalis are no longer in Canada does not make us minority...Get your facts right waaryee...Wax fahan! I was glad to have seen on the news last night that Layton is being honoured with a State Funeral, which is usually given to current/past prime minsters, governors general, and members of cabinet...He truly was a strong leader, who fought for all Canadians...He believed and respected the diversity of Canada, and for that he was my fav Canadian politician...RIP!
  3. “My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.” Jack Layton I just finished reading the two page letter (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/ottawa-notebook/laytons-last-words-love-is-better-than-anger-hope-is-better-than-fear/article2137381/) he wrote two days before his death, I couldn't hold back ilinta...RIP!
  4. Faheema, I'm pretty sure Aaliyah feels for her dying people each day, but as a Canadian, Layton's death is worthy of mention whether it's here or elsewhere...Ilaahayna dadkeena ha'u fududeeyo...
  5. As happy as I am of what Erdogan did for my people, I don't think I've ever felt more ashamed to be qof Somali ah as I've in the past days! We have no leaders, what we have are weak men aad moodo iney marti qaad usocdaan!!! Nothing but very colorful words come to mind when I think of doqonka madaxweyna kusheega aan uheysano wadankeena iyo kan daba socda...Magacyadooda xataa inaan qoro uma quuro!!!
  6. This is so devastating! I really liked Jack Layton...He was the only NDP leader that I could honestly say was a person of substance! Glad to have witnessed the progress he made for his party last election... Oh well, life goes on...
  7. LMAO @odaygaas aboorka noqday haduu fara badne camal 100 dhaldhalaa!! Xaaraam saasoo kale ma'aha inaan uqoslo anoo liito maanta! Adi Ramadan xataa dadka makaa fakanaayaan...Showqi intuu luf luf iyo gabasaar ka keynaa, igaar keena Kenya aas ku aqal galay? Wili meelahaanuu soo indha fiiqan yahay isaga iyo funaanadiisa ku dhagan...

  11. Is sheegasho, divorce and the division of family assets/property/debts iyo Somali don't mix well! There's always the old eedo/habaryar/adeer/abti oo ku leh ilaah ku daa ama caruurtaada il ha usoo jiidin from aabohood! Totally off topic, laakiin claiming what's rightfully mine in the eyes of the legal system and being granted it by the courts makes one seem to Somalida as being an evil witch...A woman took her ex to court for child support and of course ex was told to pay certain amount of money for child support monthly...To this day, they've been divorced for four years, she's the witch oo maxkamad wiilka soo saartay... Teeda kale, from reviewing divorce documents and settlements on daily basis, majority of Somali people will not benefit from is-sheegasho when it comes to divorce...Koley waa sidaan u arko...
  12. Juxa;741324 wrote: Salaam aleykum folks, Before I start, let me say that the purpose of this thread is to clarify few questions I have been asked over the years. I decided to tackle this issue as many families in the UK decided iney is-sheegtaan, this means to declare they are married to Ceyrta. I'm lost! Siduu topic-ga ku bilaawday iyo meesha loo jeediyay isma laha, mise waa kaligeey? If the purpose was isheegasho in terms of ceryta and benefits, the complications, cost, and headache of a divorce faaaar outweight the benefits of isheegasho... As far as the division of family assets if and when there's a divorce, this is more geared to dad aan ceyr iyo benefits ka fikireyn...Meaning hubby is either providing financially (yacni shaqo well paid ah buu heystaa) for the family while the wife takes care of the household, OR both are working...In which case, dadkan oo kale ey tahay iney isheegasho ka fikiraan...

  19. ^Aamiin, thnx... Nuune, lol @dhabteeda ku seexatid...Maskiinta inaa jilbaha tiro maa rabtaa? lol Of course it goes both ways, only when it is my turn, I take her out to eat at a restaurant...Jiko majecli, specially hadii cunto badan lakarinaayo...
  20. ^Waayahaan dambe laakiin wax wax fiican soo qora maba leh!
  21. My mom moving so close to my house wasn't too good of an idea! Don't get me wrong, I love having her close by, laakiin I am being spoiled beyond believe...Soon bilaabayoo jiko iyo aniga il iyo dhag aan isku noqonay...Maclaa suxuur wey soo dhiibee..."hooyo, afurka inta kasoo mar adoo shaqo kasoo baxay jiko ma is taagi kartidee" "hooyo, keen caruurta, kaalay xoogaa iska naso inta markaad shaqada kasoo baxdo"... Iyaah! Ani maa waxaas la'iibilaabaa hee? lol Love her, ilaah ha'ii daayo... 24. Aaliyah, kalaankal doesn't need a lot of seasoning, only maraq digaag (daadabarood?) ku dar and cook on low heat si uu hilibka u jilco...Markuu jilco basal kula shiil ilaa uu guduuto... Val, you started it!
