  1. Lander walalo, Trying to reason with some is impossible, you gave Mr Samuri a chance and all the while he remains the oppostion--opposed to that is, to reality and thruth. I dont know much about Sool, but this claim to Hawd and Sanaag is just redicules. I am rer "hawd" and I tell you that they are (95%) most fierce of Somalilanders, so this accliam by others to hawd is dumbfounding. And really this claim needs to be put a stop to because it can start a civil unrest back home and Mr Samuri " Biyo kabadn iyo gacamo kabad way ku qaadan". On the issue of Somaliland and progression. I think we shall endavour to get as far as we can with getting recoginition. A established state that will not be another needy african nation will surely be a good start and make a case for seccession easier. I know that Dahir Riyale is not have as good as Mr Silanyo however we are stuck with him and thus must rally behind the new government. Athough am new to the Somliland politics am moved by how much my people have struggled and mansha-allah how they are doing today and this vowed to take active interest in affairs back home. Now, Having read the three main parties manifesto's I have to say i felt the best team (the men of actions were Kulimye) and would have had my vote, the camp is full movers and shakers and veterns snm-men who were willing to die for thier country and who were still willing to serve thier country-bless--I salute the SNM-they are my heroes. The best Ideologies/manifesto were presented by UCID-although impressed by the number of young UCID members it was at the same time evident that the lacked experience and vision. UDUB, I felt were a 50/50 camp, 50 that were dodgy and unaccountable and very much the ol school. The we "always" do things this way punch and those who have obviously learned alot from "allah yarhmu" Cigaal and thus know how to play the game well . Looking at the lot above it is obvious in my opinion that Kulmiye would have made a considerable ground in moving things the right way. I hope Dahir's system does not become the platform of future S/L leaders. I think the country as whole need a infusion yound talented sisters like moi. However, as they say "ask not what your country can do 4 u but what you can do for your country". The eucational system is slowly improving and this is one area were we the Somalilanders can i.e -lobby for charties at your host country -start a sponsership programme were say numberof people sponser the wages of schools back home.
  2. lol @Gediid. Your wise words are waste on some walalo. What I want to know is why is it oki for the pro-Somali camps to swear and cuss and admin does not even bat an eye lid????????????????????????????? Guto----funnyyyyyyyyyyyy---No Comment.
  3. Gee Thanks Dantay a whole article in my name. Man I am popular  On the article you printed the highlight is undoubtly " The average Somali, self reliant and tough, is probably no worse off than the average Tanzanian or Zambian. Wages for unskilled workers in HARGEISA,the capital of SOMALILAND, in the north, which now considers itself independent of Somalia, are twice the rate in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city". Is this the lesson you were talking about: brother tell me somthing I dont know about  I am bored does anyone else have a worthy article than mr danty's peace!! Peace Dantay.
  4. One more point on being Sami-Gyrl, I am not however am delighted as they say " Great minds think alike". Peace Dusty.
  5. Sami_Gyrl sis salaama, Boy am I glad to see you here!!!!!!! I have been accused of being you  To the point I started doubting myself. lol. Anyway, to be put in a pedstal with yours trully is an honor As they say "Great Minds think a like". Nabad AD
  6. GEERLEY AND GUTO, I CAN STEEP AS LAW AS YOURSELVES AND NAME CALL YOU BUT THEN I WONT FOR AM A SOMALILANDER AND THAT IS THE DIFF BETWEEN YOU 2 AND MYFLEF. COMPRESNDEZ VOUS?
  7. LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Walahi these southerners are somthing. So now am some one else (Sam-Gyrl), victimised, traumatised and the list can go on and on and on. But my q is who has issues--those who cry at the mention of Somaliland or someone who states fact -moi-??? YA AKHWAAN, lE SITUATION EST TRES SIMPLE. jE SUIS SOMALILANDER. AND THOSE WHO DONT LIKE IT CAN BASCICALLY LUMP IT. HORN AND BAASHI, THE GREATEST FABRICATORS: EVEN IF I WAS TO CONCEDE TO YOUR LIL TELL TALES OF FABRICATED HISTORY , I DARE YOU TO SAMPLE THE PRESENT AND SHOW ME SOMTHING OF RECENT HISTORY THAT PRESENTS SOMALIA IN A POSITIVE LIGHT ??? jUST THE ONE WILL DO??? ISN'T ENOUGH THAT YOU HAVE BEEN SAVAGELY KILLING EACH OTHER FOR THE PAST TEN YRS, THAT WORLD HAD TO COME AND FEED YOU AND THAT AFTER SO MANY FAILED FOREIGN ELECTED PPRESIDENTS YOU STILL DONT HAVE A GOVERNMENT. WHERE ARE THESE SO CALLED MEN OF SOMALIA? THEREFORE WOULD YOU NOT AGREE IT IS UNDERGRADUATE TO TRY AND REDICULE SOMALILAND WHEN THE JOKE IS REALLY ON YOU GUYS  TWO MORE NOTES, BAASHI ARE YOU CONTESTING THAT SOMALILANDER/NORTHERNERS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE MOST EDUCATED, LITERATE AND BY FAR THE WEALTHEST OF THE FORMER SOMALIA??? AS A GROWN MAN, I THINK IT IS UNFITTING TO EVEN INSINUATE OTHERWISE. SHUJI (sp?) AND OTHERS IF YOU THINK AM SAMI-GIRL, I WILL LEAVE THIS ONE TO THE MODERATORS WHO WILL BE ABLE TO CHECK CREDENTIALS AND ADVISE YOU ACCORDINGLY bUT BIG UP TO THE SISTER/BROTHERS FOR SHE/HE SURELY HAD YOU RUNNING. SOMALIA TRY N KEEP UP DARE N CATCH UP PEACE DUSTY
  8. A women prime minister, you cant get more progressive than that.LOL She will probably show the men one or two things about running a state. My Faith in Somaliland gets stronger and Stronger. Viva S/Land
  9. Siman As they say "look b4 you leap". For you to consider our argunents rationality is you to have followed our debates throughly, you simply agreeing with Baashi does not make us irrational. Baashi, wrote that we lacked behind...what a joke. And yet Siman, you write our arguments are irrational????? I am confused  Baashi, repeat yourself. We lacked behind??? I am starting to question the worthness of this debate with you. Frankly, your lies and fabrications are out of this world. It is all good tho----I recently overheard two boys argue over Somaliland/Somalia? The Somalilander was trying to get his friend to understand that he was going to Somaliland, the friend claimed there was no such place! Angered the Somalilander asked what do you mean? The Somali being silly as the norm replied: I dont know where Somaliland is, where is that? The Somalilander kept cool and replied : You know where Somaliland is -ABOVE-Somalia (raising one arm up to indicate). I just thought to myself in every sense of the word. Baashi that has always been the case, and your little tell tales will not dent our destiny nor our history. Peace Dusty.
  10. What is this Puntland??? And who are these people that Dantay is boosting about>? Please enlighten, on the other hand dont bother as am sure they have of little relevance to us because they exist not in our knowledge. I think the subject matter is Somaliland aka blessland my brother stay on the subject. I can tolerate people diff opinion on the state of Somaliland but what I find amasing is this odacity to be little Somaliland and yet Somalis are proud of the turmoil they are in. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going. Somaliland is going place. I dont hear no mentioning of the rest of Somalis praises in the media --do you? I hear of foriegners trying to put you **** together, never a decent Somali with vision or honour standing up for thier country. Yet you all have the face to even talk. If I was you I would bury myself head first*lol*
  11. LOL@@Cilmi From CERIGABO What do you expect am after all from Yufle!! LOL Ceerigab: a beautiful town with equally beautiful people .
  12. ^^^^^^^^^^Ayoub_Sheik I couldn't agree with you better. Some times I wonder if they are on the same planet as us. The worrying thing is this is thier "supposedly" literate lot. Disturbing walahi.
  13. "By the way you mentioned that you are an ex somali turned somalilander! I am perhaps the most stupid guy on this planet but where do the somalilanders come from? " Somaliland. It is a clear cut as that my fellow brother. Nothing stupid, altrerior or otherwise about it. Salama Dust.
  14. Entrepreneur, If you were to ask me the same q, I would answer ex Somali but today am a proud Somalilander. And before you start another never ending story on the Somali ethnicity and how Somaliland appears no where on world refrences, I would like to say to you give time and it shall soon appear. One must crawl before they can walk. My question to you is what country are you from? If you answer is Somalia then my answer to you is: there is no such state for a country need a government, a stable economy and peace to be classified as a country. I ask you between Somaliland and Somalia, which one meets the criteria for a sovereign FUNCTIONABLE state??? Dusty.
  15. One really wonders what would have been the fate of millions of Somalis in the South who either died directly becuase of the on going war in the South or the famine that took place, had all the energy that the Southerns direct towards Somaliland was directed towards thier own??? Baffling in't that southerns call Somaliland a colonial legacy?? Mr Samuria, HAVING READ YOUR ARTICLES I CAN'T HELP BUT ASK, ISN'T TIRESOME TO WRITE A LOADED ARTICLE OF JARGON THAT WHEN SIFFERED THROUGH AMOUNTS TO A LOT OF WAFFLING? I put it before you that Somaliland was never colonised! A protectrate indeed but never a colonised state. Better start checking those books again brother because fabrications will not re-write history. The point remains however, is Somaliland not the wish of the people of Somaliland, the deliverance of the heroes of Somaliland (SNM)? So who is any one else to ask for more justifications. And another thought perhaps is that it is not just the civil war that has determined our mind about the rest of Somalia, but we simply do not wish to have anything to do with the rest of you. Frankly, this ongoing cry after Somaliland is desperate and BORING. Believe it or not the people that oppose united Somalia is not just the old folks in Somaliland, but indeed the 20 somthings like myself who hold the future of thier country in thier hands and will not at any cost sacrifice that. Somaliland is the future, it is our destiny and the promised land. DR King said " I have seen the promised land and if you cant fly there walk, if you cant walk run and if you cant run crawl, but by all means get there" Somaliland will get there even of we are crawling at that moment, which is not what one can say for the rest of Somalia. SO, stop hating and get with the programme. I suggest for all the doubters to form and orderly queue for visas to visit Somaliland. A lot of you can talk the talk but the Q is: can you walk the walk, because Somaliland is and you are not even keeping up SOMALIA. Dusty
  16. Admin. I demand explainations as to why they were not even submitted? I am starting to beleive that this site is Anti-Somaliland as have been suggested before. Dusty.
  17. Now now this is a first, HornAfrique has actually written in a believable story about Somaliland "lol". You know what they say "its never too late", I guess its never too late to change but then again "a leopard never changes its spots". On a serious tip, I think we (Somalilanders) should remain ctirque of the situation back home. I strongly believe the voices of the people should be heard and respected and thus if issues as this arise allbeit a propoganda note, we should demonstrate that we will not accept such repressive regimes and that a Barre style goverance will not be tolerated. Therefore, Mr Afrique, thank you for bringing this to our attention, I have forwarded this article to several other Somalilandforums and the responses have been impressive. One thing I pray for and I know Somliland will attain forver is peace. I hope to god Somalilanders do not indulge in greed and misgoverance as this has been the downfall of many of great nations (Congo per say). I am amazed mr Bari_Nomad or Baashi- Self confessed anti_Somaliland are not jumping on the wrong side of the debate again and shouting foul all over Somaliland. Maybe I spoke too soon. Oh well only time will tell. Dusty
  18. This topic is already up in one of the other threads but the event was BRILLIANT. I honestly enjoyed it. The little gig in the middle was fab and I really like the line" you know where Somaliland is: Above Somalia" in every sense of the word. Peace.
  19. BAAAASHI: my brother what is this obsessivness with Somaliland....you need help walahi! Your hate is so transparent and it shows how consumed you are by it all....let go becuase "wanu gosanay". And nothing you say will change that. To put it mildly "you know Somaliland but Somaliland does not know you ". Now what does that tell you! I hope you can read between the lines. All most all your threads are regarding Somaliland. You know how to talk, we (Somalilanders) take action! I rest my case. Dusty.
  20. Not Exagarting but the event in London was EXCELLENT> the turnout was massive well over 4000 and I hear all proceeds are going to Hargeisa Hospital. The show was diverse: traditional dancers, presenations, poem recital, private workshops (behind closed doors) and equalled entertainment. Well done to the orgasnisors "Nomad UK" I think they did an impressive job. These brothers and sisters organise this event and all this is done in the name of Charity and Somaliland--now that is somthing. A freind of mine is a member and I plan to get involved next year which is already in the works and the plans are to support "Burco Hospital". Happy 18th May every one. God Bless Somaliland. Lander if you dont mind me asking:was the event in TO purely for celebrations or is it in aid of Somaliland concerns?
  21. Lander, Respect my brother. So long as Somaliland has brothers like you around we have nothing to worry about. Bari and others take note. Guevera excluded.
  22. Well well well! Although I am up for freedom of expression, its another when people display anomsity publically. Lets all be clear on thing here: SOMALILAND IS HERE FOR GOOD> whether the rest of Somalia get thier act togther or not. "once bitten twice shy" meaning we wont make the same mistake again. Bari_Nomad, HornAfrique and Xasan one phrase for you guys " Actions speaks louder than words" SOMALILAND is the result of actions thank you very much. What has the rest of you been upto whilst we were getting our shit togther, I tell you what nothing. You have more talks than the so called UN< zillions of talk that get you no where, what can be expect of the Southerners when the vey men that destroyed our country directly or indirectly want to be elected. Then you all come here and cry wolf-pathetic. Secondly, if you want tit for tat then here its: countries that successfully parted, Irland, North Korea, the former Russian Federation, the eastern block of Europe, the Balkans and most recently East Timor. Please, when Somaliland is ready to put forward her case for recognition we shall, right now we have more pressing matter at hand. Like building a nation. And as far as the question of Sanaag and disputed regions go, they are more than free to go. But lets speak the thruth here Erigavo, the capital of Sanaag had 90% turn out for the election....that is a fact. So cut the crap and propaganda. The fact is People of Somaliland no matter what thier tribe support Somaliland by perhaps 95%. Now if that is not majority I dont know what is! Thirdly, for the election of Dahir Riyaale, you all know how close the vote's were. And as much as I agree that he is not fit for the seat, so far all the allegation against him are whispers....if evidence ever comes to light then rest assured he will be outsed and dealt with accordingly. For now, it only adds to Somaliland strength that a man from the manority tribe is in power and we have no qualms about it. Remember hate will consume you, Love sets you free. Peace and Love Nomads.
  23. My addition to Raage's Omaar Hall of Fame LOL Rageh Omaar wins it for BBC in Baghdad Ben Barnabas Monday April 14, 2003 The Guardian It is not just the military who are returning to a hero's welcome - the BBC's Baghdad reporter Rageh Omaar arrived back in Britain yesterday widely regarded as having won the journalistic battle of Baghdad for the broadcaster. BBC bosses praised their new star as rumours emerged that American news networks had their sights on recruiting the Somalian-born reporter. From his common vantage point on the rooftop of the Palestine Hotel in central Baghdad, Omaar quickly became the face of the Iraqi conflict for the British public. Liberated from his Iraqi minders last Wednesday, Omaar won 48% of the 4.3 million British viewers in the defining moment of the fall of the regime - when the statue of Saddam Hussein in central Baghdad was pulled down. Since the start of the war nearly 90% of the population have watched him on either the weekday BBC news bulletins or on News 24. Many of his broadcasts have been syndicated across the US, where The Washington Post labelled him the "Scud Stud" within a week of the first American missile hitting Baghdad. Rumours are now rife that the Johannesburg-based married father of one will follow British correspondent Lara Logan, who was snapped up to report for CNN last year. The BBC will be delighted by the plaudits its correspondent is receiving after a war in which it has been attacked by the government at times for its coverage. Omaar's colleague, Radio 4's Andrew Gilligan, was targeted by Downing Street after reporting the day after the regime fell that Baghdadis were experiencing their "first days of freedom in more fear than they have ever known before". Writing in the Sunday Telegraph, Omaar, 36, said he had chuckled when he heard pundits deploring an "Iraqi bias" in Baghdad bulletins. "Yes, there are daily briefings by Iraqi ministers and carefully organised trips for journalists in the presence of ministry officials," he wrote. "But by putting such severe restrictions on where we are allowed to set up our broadcasting equipment, the regime ensures that many reports that they so diligently help us to gather are simply never sent out."
  24. This is a vicious circle and we can go on and on and on. But one can not easily sit back and watch unbelievable lies being fabricated. Brother Xasan I have nothing more to say to you, as Gedid said once "cuqdad iska saar". My god to sit there and tell me a sanaag native that SNM-the only Somali Librators committed crimes in Sanaag..is just pathetic. The SNM revolution was supported by every one in sanaag. Siman, borther/sis--I wish you would practice what you preach. I mean you started of on a good note and I qoute "It is sad to see folks on S.O.L displaying similar characteristics that left us where we are. One thing that Differentiate Somalis from other nationalities is that we don't examine things and respond Appropriately, rather we jump into issues and make empty arguments about it without relying on concrete evidence". You then said Somalis have learned nothing from the last 13yrs of destruction. Hello, Somaliland has been at peace for the past ten yrs and precisely our main objection to unity with the rest of Somalia. Before you all start advocating for a united Somalia I suggest you all get your shit together.Simple. Secondly, one really has to be carefull with thier words when you say " Somaliland is the land of Somalis and thus Somaliland has to invent a new one"... I put to you that Somaliland exited before the Rep of Somalia! Somaliland is keeping her name therefore its the rest of Somalia that has to do the inventions and while you at it invent a new flag too OR you didn't know that was ours too. A true SNM...through and through. The Dust has settled and that is Angel Dust by th way:)
  25. It is pathetic when grown ups start talking cheap. Like the brother here going by the name Xasan Nasra. It has always been the way of the guilty to point fingers....disgracefull that is what I call the likes of Xasan and Barre regime supporters. How dare you dispute that the SNM are mujahidins? How are you to call the only true sons and heroes of Somalia "Murders". Like I said cheap talk---losers always hate on the winners. SNM, are Martyers, Man of substance and gut. But then Xasan you and your like now nothing about that. SNM< were defending their land, thier people thier dignity. Those are the actions of heroes---of real men. Men of no wit, write cheap "you did this" "and w"e didn't do that" on the web. And anyway, SNM and Somaliland need not prove anything to anyone but themselves and my god we have. We have peace within and outside. Where is the rest of Somalia? I rest my case. Where as Tuke and the other muderers alive, the ones that committed unimaginable atrocities against the people of Somaliland.....why bother wasting our valuable time on them , allah will deliver infinite Justice and we all know what awaits them--the doors of hell. Somaliland people have more pressing issues to deal with. Like enriching our beautifull nation and its people. And for the haters, like the song goes "Soo goosane soo goosane ..ho gacanta ho gacanta ho--Somaliland", another I hear you say --nah will save it for later.
