1 pointThe Egyptians thought to lock Somalia in the box and have free use of Somalia against Ethiopia, otherwise Ethiopia and Eritrea have more Arabs than Somalia. The Saudi and Gulf were never that enthusiastic of Arab League. It was just Egypt. Its very easy for Somalia to become an important country in Africa, but almost impossible with Arabs.

1 pointIt is all about go back to the Future. You have a warlord in Kismaayo, one in Baydhabo, Gamudug and In Hargeisa. It is all about Puntland joining the club of the warlords. Having said that , he doesn't have any chance to defeat C/weli Gaas. Unless you have a new great candidate, I would stick with the devil I know. Gaas is not perfect, but at least he understands the big picture of the Somali state.
