Reer Burco Forget June 26 LMAO

Recommended Posts

I don't blame them most of these kids were born after 1980 and it also depends who you ask as kids they only remember the SNM struggle. But i think both days should be celebrated 26 june is the day Somaliland gained independence from the Colonial British Empire. And 1991 18 may is the day we reinstated Somalilands statehood as the Somaliland republic.

If you look at the first article of our constitution both days are mentioned.

Article 1: The State of the Republic of Somaliland

1. The country which gained its independence from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on 26th June 1960 and was known as the Somaliland Protectorate and which joined Somalia on 1st July 1960 so as to form the Somali Republic and then regained its independence by the Declaration of the Conference of the Somaliland communities held in Burao between 27th April 1991 and 15th May 1991 shall hereby and in accordance with this Constitution become a sovereign and independent country known as “The Republic of Somaliland”.

None of these people seem to know what June 26 stands for..kulaha somaliland markay xarowday?

It is the day British Somaliland (not the one clan state that calls itself somaliland today) got independence. Kuwan waweynba baaba u baahan cashar.

As for the younger ones who were like "marku nabigu dhashay"..Clearly it shows that they need to be educated about tariikhda somaliyeed iyo halgankii losoo maray xornimada. It is blatant that they were not taught anything about it. Shouldnt they have been taught about it in their history classes?? I am curious waxa la baro? mise reer waqooyi galbeed tariikhdoodu 1988 bay bilowmatay?

salaam

lool they can keep coming up with their farfetched numbers. But, bottom line every clan has its rightful territories. One that it has the right to govern. It is simple as that.

No clan has the right to form their own feifdoms, only legal colonial boundries forms African nations , not the argument of some naked fool who calimes because simply his daddy was the personel barber of the Mad Mullah , thus he is an anti-colonial hero and hence he is entitled to issue a Dervish "fatwa" arguing the northern Angalo-Italian border is colonial and void but the southern Angalo-Italian border is "muqdas" and "somaliweyn".
